I agree with your critiques of the game regarding the map zoom out and trying to tell where the teleport gates are. I also didn't learn until yesterday that you have to actually press "F" at each teleport point to activate it before you can use it. I had been playing since day 1 with only half of the teleport points because I though just finding them activated them.
Nothing mini about this game...but seriously, props to them for making such a detailed huge game for an anni event. It's a bit frustrating, but I'll probably enjoy it more when it eventually gets added to the arcade

I honestly effing hate this mini game. My least favorite in Nikke so far. I personally like metroidvania games like Deedlit, castlevania, hollow knight, etc, but this is a slog. But i gotta do it for the rewards, pain.
Almost every metroidvania locks double jump, these mini games are more like tributes to games the devs like and probably have always wanted to work on. There is even a super hard bs area that is a massive pain to get through and has no reward at the end of it, just like the old games used to have.
7:48 See that blue wall? To get to the upper platform, go into the blue wall. When you're on the other side. Jump once then when you emerge, the blue wall pushes you up. At that point you double jump and dash forward.
always tricky. for me (on tablet) it always resets me to facing the wall and even when i use the movement to go left it will more often then not move me back into that wall and transition to the next area. it then becomes a silly ping pong as the regen mobs then attack me and push me back into the transition wall .
I just finish normal mode and going on newgame+ Its crazy for a gacha game to make a game in a game for an occasion. Dam boi, I love this kind of dev. Bought a pass and 2 packs of gacha skin rolls. I don't even need the skin, just to support them.
Move Speed is the worst thing to upgrade actually, because Dash Speed Cooldown is far superior. It costs less overall to unlock it than to upgrade Move Speed to max.
Yeah, I can't believe he raised movement speed to 10. That must have been a lot of gold. Law of diminishing returns says spending to 10 was probably not worth as much as upgrading other attributes earlier.

No offence to the game makers but I hate playing these mini games. They basically force you to because of tickets as rewards. I want to play the main game, not some annoying side scroller.
as soon as you can get them I'd recommend getting the dash cd reduction and the one module that gives your dashes s when you have those you can just dash trough like 99% of high dmg projectiles and basically just eat em
I think the dailies are fine. There are 2 tasks/missions that take a little too long to complete. Daily is oerfect for me tho. Gets you to play a bit, but doesn't force you to grind it out. The longer missions force you to grind.
Gonna be honest, this is the first minigame where I had to look up on google what to do. There are those little fires which keep blocking the way, and I was stuck on not knowing where to go for 1,5 weeks. Those and the flowers which open them dont appaer on the minimap whatsoever. Then when I saw the whole map and where to actually go, I had to find that on my current minimap that location was very badly drawn, I had no idea there is a path northwards there. Even though you can usually see where there is more path to explore, I couldnt at all on this one crucial path which kept me stuck for about half of the event's whole runtime... Then there are also just funny and unfortunate encounters when you get to a new area, and raptures immidiately knock you back to the prievous one before you can react. Minigame is/was actually fun and all for the most part, but the exploration part of it is a failure for me.
I like the minigame a lot. I just wish that if you're holding left and walking through a screen-transition, it continues walking left when you come out of it.
Omg i didn't realised you have to equip the stuffs. Also for the "Get hit" part you can go to the connected map to the right, get high enough then double jump and dash to the left back onto the map, and just keep dashing left to get onto it. Another minor bone picking for me is key mapping on PC, which does not exist.
I thought the For The King mini game was also time gated since certain stages spoiled what happened in the story because we could see who were invading (chatterbox and indivilia) and who came to help (snow white, scarlet and Rapunzel).
set game to easy mode first, buy modules, press s to set modules, proritizes the gold gathering first for 1 skill point, then basic attacks, then on red orbs upgrade upgrade basic attacks, and attacks. Click on the light blue orbs for waypoints all the time.
I think the fastest way to get more gold for upgrades is: Start New game +, then look for the Lonely Wasteland III teleport, and head for the boss "Idols" (the 4 boss in one). Kill them, get back, save the game and do it again and again, until you're saisfied with your upgrades. Doing this u'll get +/- 2400 gold for each kill.
Ahhh! that's how you get the "fully upgrade 14 skills" in the mini game. New game+ must give you more of those cores needed to upgrade your skills like atk (which one after the second needs 8 cores!) the ohter one at least is for the fifth or sixth level when it asks for that many.
As someone who has finished both the game and new game+, and has only to get the 50000 gold achievement left, I have to say that this “mini” game is well worth it. You get the core upgrade things by killing bosses. They drop them as well as gold.

stuck at 69%. Is double jump and dash all that is needed to access all areas? Cause there are multiple places that I barely can't reach with double jump, So I've been wondering whether there's an upgrade that I don't have yet, that stops progression.
I have played every Metroid game and most Metroivania titles. I was very excited for Into the mirror. For a mobile mini game it was fine. Not sure if this would be enough to get people interested in similar games. But they did miss some aspects that made it frustrating even for a veteran of this type of game. 1. Map and the teleportation UI was awful. There is no reason for the map to be soo heavily zoomed in and needing to know the names of the teleport locations. Should have just reused the same map and allowed you to click where you want to teleport. 2. The amount of power ups needs to be more frequent. You get dash at a good pace, then it takes almost an hour before you get the next power-up. This needs to be more frequent early on. Some areas should have needed the lazer of the barrage to open them. It would make the upgrades feel better. You should be earning and unlocking more and more of the map in 5 or so hours it takes to complete. 3. Double jump gets its own complaint. So much of the map is locked behind double jump. The map needed to be more restrictive and open up more gradually. As it is you can do to about 30% once you get dash and then 100% when you get double jump. The map is the worst part of this game. It was not well designed for a Metroidvania game. I do hope Shift Up continue giving us new game experiences though. Dave the Diver and Into the Mirror are excellent ways to add variety and excitement to major Nikke patches.
New Game+ is the best way to farm gold and upgrades via the Idols boss fight in the Lonely Wasteland. Defeat all four, get the drops, return to title, New Game+ again, repeat.
So Golden Mob/Raptures seem to give different amounts of gold depending on what part of the stage they drop. The early stage golden mob/raptures give less than the later stage ones. The first ones give about 50 gold. I'm not sure how much the last ones give. Probably 150-200. You can also tell visually the golden nugget gets bigger near the end stages.
I really wish there was a guide to find the collectibles With specifics on what collectible is where so I can find the ones I’m missing as it’s a slog going all over this big map just looking for things that I could easily miss

For 7:46 , you can get on the higher platform if you hop into that room from the east going west. You will be launched a bit upon spawning, then use your second jump and a dash to get onto the platform.
I can't defeat the 4 idols. I upgraded the module skill before the attack. So, I am not sure if I should re-start the game ot just keep farming to increase the rest of the attributes a bit more.... idead???
dodge like crazy. i died three times before i was able to complete them. which i had a few times where I nearly died. just remember, they usually hang around bottom and middle path and you can get to the top path. if you need to heal RUN and heal. get better (fiddle with the three set ups via pause > options for where the skills are to see what works for you best... for me it was set up 3) as it had dash at the very bottom right, jump above, just left of it normal fire, just left of that and down was the Damage over Time ball, slightly up and right (but left and up of the regular fire) it has the focused beam attack and above and to the right of that (directly above normal attack) was the Homing laser barrage). Sadly they really should have let you fail and continued on as even whence you beat those four.. another Rapture comes in and revives them and super powers them up and they trash you. you wake up below and to the left of the save point just left of that boss room.
For anyone who does not have double junp just follow the purple exclamation point or quest line. You're pretty much wasting your time if you try to explore without double jump.
2:01 the things with this point is that while I can agree to a certain extent. It simply is too much of a spoiler if you can unlock everything from day one. i agree, while at first i found it annoying it would have spoiled it greatly with how Red Shoes corrupted Cindy. it was already heavily implied when around day 2 or 3 that one room unlocked and you had red shoes by herself and a ? that when you click said "red shoes... how could you?!" but you wouldn't know about this until STORY 2 unlocked on the seventh day.
Early is not that bad, get upgrade explore new things, but after a while there is a bunch of enemy, hard to kill, just stand there press attack button and some shitty skill, go next zone rinse and repeat, just buy the dash module turn easy mode on and just dash through the minigame
Are the dailies worth it? I kinda just want to do the whole thing near the end and get it over with, the controls aren't great on phones, but it doesn't seem too hard either.
They net you a Blue tier Supply box (the one where you can pick 1h boxes of Credits, XP or Cores) plus small amounts of Class chips (The ones that upgrade stats of Attackers and so forth). If you playing day 1, probably will net a few levels for early players, and one or two for mid to early late players
i had issues with that as well. I believe in the end I Cheesed it by going into the little alcoves where the door was and facing towards her with shield up (and about lvl 10 or higher Hp regen) to regain HP. whence I had full I dropped down and fought until down to just about 1/3 my health and scrambled back up in there to heal again. My attack pattern was excessively use the slow ball DoT and the homing missile barage (or laser barrage) with a few focused plasma beams. and shield when she is jumping and firing 3 plasma balls bait her to aim where you can dodge the three/four sets of attacks before she does the 8 directional attack. fire off the DoT and homing laser barrage when you can. Obviously dodge that attack but stay near the corner. Now you bait her to dash into the corner. JUMP over her. turn around, FOCUS BEAM. (after the DoT preferrably) and back up. SHEILD immediately when you can and then prepare to dodge back and rinse and repeat. at one point she dashes repeatedly across or jumps more erradically and sends fires at you with damn good accuracy. Again just place the DoT on the ground for some damage as she dashes through it and homing barrage when you can. and just.. dodge.. dodge... dodge. the cheese to heal helps as well.
@@TheEmperorGulcasa the boss before you go to Fake Red shoes unlocks it. in the coffin where sin sleeps if i'm not mistaken. you get the homing barrage and the coscentrated beam after that boss. Red shoes nets you her burst.
I dont knw if its just me or what but those white stone or tiles where u can look up or down to go are bugged or something i try so hard to look up and jump but i still cnt make it and have to do it multiple times and falling back down is really sad 🥲🥲
I'm looking for a fast method to gain gold. Is farming golden mobs/raptures the best way? Do you earn more gold from hard+ mode? Or is it better to just farm golden mobs near the end stage?
Go to the most raptures while on easy mode kill them or you can just hold basic attack. Takes a pretty long time but if you have the increased gold module you can increase the income by a bit
Agree All what you mention, Especially should not Gate a Metroidvenia By the way if you play enough Metroidvenia, you know getting hit to reach higher ground is not a bug.
For an event limited time mini game it's waaaay to time consuming. Make the game half as long, then release the major version with all rewards later on with all the feedback from players because as most have mentioned the UI and teleportation is awful and no guide to let you know about things like equipping modules. Thanks for letting us know!
Minigame was really good. Only thing i have to critize is that after multiple new game + the normal enemy scaling becomes absurd and almost unkillable even with maxed out upgrades. While bosses are still easy to beat so there is a balancing issue late game.
New Game + is just used to farm bosses for gold to clear out the shop & upgrades. No point killing trash mobs cause it's not worth the time or effort. Just kill bosses. Restart new game + over and over again to farm bosses for gold.
when the minigames are longer than the main game itself, granted that it takes a minute to finish stages/bosses but they have to go that far for only a few vouchers/gems... 🙃
I hated it. I usually dislike Metroidvanias but some are fun when the gameplay is fun, Like Blasphemous and Hoolow Knight. But this one has horrible gameplay. The map navigation is horrible with a very limited U.I. especially for fast travel. The map is confusing and pretty similar most of the time. Also whoever made the interface for menus on this minigame should really get their s*** together... What a horrible job.
I can't play on my phone, I loose patience by playing with virtual buttons. Try to play on my large tablet but it's worse as I can't jump and move a the same type.
you get to tack on +1 boss kill for the 20 boss kill challenge mission I guess. also accomplishing something a bit more challenging that some players are unable to do.
How do you get on 1 of the 2 platforms that has arrows pointing the left and there's a line of raptures waiting for you on, it doesn't go down nor it moves and I can't get up with the double jump either.
@@intrepido7221 you have to do some jump glitch. Basically it allows you to start the new frame (or sequence?) while being mid air then do an extra jump and use the dash. To do that, you need to be in the zone before the one where you're struggling, jump while going left so you enter the zone while being in the jump animation. You will then enter the zone in mid air and you will be able to do an extra jump and dash to reach the platform. Its quite tricky to do but not that hard when you figured it out. Just remember that you can try this as long as you want without fallign as long as you're not using the dash. Sry if my explanations are shitty but I can't explain it better ^^"

Area, I didn't know about this glitch, I play on a tablet and the touch controls are a nightmare+ I have touch controls issues where I false push or push another button, some times I push nothing and the tablet register a button push, aka ghost button push, I entered the room in the start of the second jump and spam the dash button while it loads the next room and I ended up on the platform, besides that every thing else is easy even the boss, i beat it in my first boss battle try, what a weakling is that boss. lol
Fast travelling was absolute horse shit. You have to memorize the shape of the room you want to go or remember them by the long and weird area names and order. Thank god im done with this.
This mini game is hardly mini anymore. On the one hand it was entertaining, on the other hand it was also exhausting. But what fascinated me most was the twist. (Spoiler Theory) Spoiler theory ! At the beginning I wasn't sure and thought it was an internal battle. After the fight against the 4 idols I was still not 100% sure. But by the last scene against the final boss I was sure. Our character is the corruption and we saw everything as raptures and eliminated it until we were finally eliminated.
Until I got double jump and attack upgrades, it was pretty awful to explore. Worst part was no controller support. I love these types of games but the controls made it a chore for me;
I'm going to go against everyone else here & say that I thought the "mini-game" was fun, but man was it a huge time sink. It was the biggest "mini-game" I've played from a gacha game. I think the fairest criticism is that the controls for the mini-game is more difficult to play on mobile/phone, but then again, so is the actual game. For me playing on PC, I thought it was mostly easy, with a few hard spots like the jumping puzzle to the hidden extra boss. Also finding all the collectible memory chips was super time consuming with no reward for 100% completion. At least someone actually posted a YT video for all their locations. I guess collecting the memories is for lore people...and people with OCD. I'm not sure if it's worth doing the hard+ mode for the last 2-3 challenge mission rewards though. Maybe if I get bored...
there's nothing mini about this mini-game it was great overall and i personally enjoyed it but i think it should have been like a 3-4 hour campaign cuz farming for gold is lengthy too

Once you complkete the game on normal difficulty and unlock New Game+ you can just kill 1 boss to complete the daily.

THE must have module is dash invincibility, that came in so clutch. You need to have double jump, and back track to the first zone.
i finished the game with 0 moduels without knowing shop existed i kinda feel bad lmao. but its only 3 hours so whatever and i got all the pulls
run it on easy mode and you wont loose HP. once you get everything you can play on normal if you want a challenge.

Does anyone know the respawn rate of the golden mobs? Seems to be more than an hour. Is it 5, 10, 12, or 24 hrs?
if you have new game plus already its much better to fight the bosses for coins. I maxed most stuff out fighting the bosses with just 3 runs.

After completing, cinderella still cannot fly?
I can't defeat the 4 idols. I upgraded the module skill before the attack. So, I am not sure if I should re-start the game ot just keep farming to increase the rest of the attributes a bit more.... idead???
dodge like crazy. i died three times before i was able to complete them. which i had a few times where I nearly died. just remember, they usually hang around bottom and middle path and you can get to the top path. if you need to heal RUN and heal. get better (fiddle with the three set ups via pause > options for where the skills are to see what works for you best... for me it was set up 3) as it had dash at the very bottom right, jump above, just left of it normal fire, just left of that and down was the Damage over Time ball, slightly up and right (but left and up of the regular fire) it has the focused beam attack and above and to the right of that (directly above normal attack) was the Homing laser barrage). Sadly they really should have let you fail and continued on as even whence you beat those four.. another Rapture comes in and revives them and super powers them up and they trash you. you wake up below and to the left of the save point just left of that boss room.
For anyone who does not have double junp just follow the purple exclamation point or quest line. You're pretty much wasting your time if you try to explore without double jump.
YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY EQUIP MODULES??!

2:01 the things with this point is that while I can agree to a certain extent. It simply is too much of a spoiler if you can unlock everything from day one. The people that did the event knows what I mean by this spoiler. The mini game shows too much of a spoiler if you can unlock everything in day 1
i agree, while at first i found it annoying it would have spoiled it greatly with how Red Shoes corrupted Cindy. it was already heavily implied when around day 2 or 3 that one room unlocked and you had red shoes by herself and a ? that when you click said "red shoes... how could you?!" but you wouldn't know about this until STORY 2 unlocked on the seventh day.
Early is not that bad, get upgrade explore new things, but after a while there is a bunch of enemy, hard to kill, just stand there press attack button and some shitty skill, go next zone rinse and repeat, just buy the dash module turn easy mode on and just dash through the minigame
Are the dailies worth it? I kinda just want to do the whole thing near the end and get it over with, the controls aren't great on phones, but it doesn't seem too hard either.
They net you a Blue tier Supply box (the one where you can pick 1h boxes of Credits, XP or Cores) plus small amounts of Class chips (The ones that upgrade stats of Attackers and so forth).
If you playing day 1, probably will net a few levels for early players, and one or two for mid to early late players

The dailies were super easy to do. Took a bit longer when you first start, but later on, it only took about 1 minute.

I'm stuck on False Red. It's second phase is super hard to damage and live through.
i had issues with that as well. I believe in the end I Cheesed it by going into the little alcoves where the door was and facing towards her with shield up (and about lvl 10 or higher Hp regen) to regain HP. whence I had full I dropped down and fought until down to just about 1/3 my health and scrambled back up in there to heal again.
My attack pattern was excessively use the slow ball DoT and the homing missile barage (or laser barrage) with a few focused plasma beams. and shield
when she is jumping and firing 3 plasma balls bait her to aim where you can dodge the three/four sets of attacks before she does the 8 directional attack. fire off the DoT and homing laser barrage when you can. Obviously dodge that attack but stay near the corner. Now you bait her to dash into the corner. JUMP over her. turn around, FOCUS BEAM. (after the DoT preferrably) and back up. SHEILD immediately when you can and then prepare to dodge back and rinse and repeat.
at one point she dashes repeatedly across or jumps more erradically and sends fires at you with damn good accuracy. Again just place the DoT on the ground for some damage as she dashes through it and homing barrage when you can. and just.. dodge.. dodge... dodge. the cheese to heal helps as well.

@@TheEmperorGulcasa the boss before you go to Fake Red shoes unlocks it. in the coffin where sin sleeps if i'm not mistaken. you get the homing barrage and the coscentrated beam after that boss. Red shoes nets you her burst.

No gating in the tower defense minigame? Are you sure? I'm almost positive a bunch of the levels were locked behind story missions.
It is so difficult to play on mobile 😢 I get stuck so offen even on areas that do not require double jump and just quit frustrated

be sure to kill all the raptures first and turn on easy mode to avoid stressful moments, i finished it in mobile
I dont knw if its just me or what but those white stone or tiles where u can look up or down to go are bugged or something i try so hard to look up and jump but i still cnt make it and have to do it multiple times and falling back down is really sad 🥲🥲
I'm looking for a fast method to gain gold. Is farming golden mobs/raptures the best way? Do you earn more gold from hard+ mode? Or is it better to just farm golden mobs near the end stage?
Go to the most raptures while on easy mode kill them or you can just hold basic attack. Takes a pretty long time but if you have the increased gold module you can increase the income by a bit
New game+, kill all the boss, New game+, kill all the boss, New game+, kill all the boss. Rinse and repeat
newgame+ then teleport to lonely wasteland III, defeat the idols boss, you will get 10 blue core and 2640 gold, save game then repeat it

As someone with no swnse of direction thos minigame was a nightmare for me a fun nightmare but definitely a nightmare lol.
I loved this mini game it is my favorite so far. Also Cinderella is now the best nikke of all time!
For an event limited time mini game it's waaaay to time consuming. Make the game half as long, then release the major version with all rewards later on with all the feedback from players because as most have mentioned the UI and teleportation is awful and no guide to let you know about things like equipping modules. Thanks for letting us know!

I just finished this minigame. Cost me about 11 hours in total (in one week)
Bruh. I did not know I needed to equip my models. I beat the game 100% and New Game+ bosses multiple times with no modules equipped.
Minigame was really good.
Only thing i have to critize is that after multiple new game + the normal enemy scaling becomes absurd and almost unkillable even with maxed out upgrades.
While bosses are still easy to beat so there is a balancing issue late game.
New Game + is just used to farm bosses for gold to clear out the shop & upgrades. No point killing trash mobs cause it's not worth the time or effort.
Just kill bosses. Restart new game + over and over again to farm bosses for gold.

i play this in both pc n mobile, the auto attack is easier on mobile since it's auto target but the control is better in pc
when the minigames are longer than the main game itself, granted that it takes a minute to finish stages/bosses but they have to go that far for only a few vouchers/gems... 🙃
I hated it. I usually dislike Metroidvanias but some are fun when the gameplay is fun, Like Blasphemous and Hoolow Knight. But this one has horrible gameplay. The map navigation is horrible with a very limited U.I. especially for fast travel. The map is confusing and pretty similar most of the time. Also whoever made the interface for menus on this minigame should really get their s*** together... What a horrible job.

I can't play on my phone, I loose patience by playing with virtual buttons. Try to play on my large tablet but it's worse as I can't jump and move a the same type.
For those who reached the extra zone called "???" don't bother doing it cuz you literally get nothing at the end of it except gold...
you get to tack on +1 boss kill for the 20 boss kill challenge mission I guess. also accomplishing something a bit more challenging that some players are unable to do.
How do you get on 1 of the 2 platforms that has arrows pointing the left and there's a line of raptures waiting for you on, it doesn't go down nor it moves and I can't get up with the double jump either.
@@intrepido7221 jump through the door, the momentum will carry you upward and you'll pop out on the other side
@@intrepido7221 you have to do some jump glitch. Basically it allows you to start the new frame (or sequence?) while being mid air then do an extra jump and use the dash. To do that, you need to be in the zone before the one where you're struggling, jump while going left so you enter the zone while being in the jump animation. You will then enter the zone in mid air and you will be able to do an extra jump and dash to reach the platform. Its quite tricky to do but not that hard when you figured it out. Just remember that you can try this as long as you want without fallign as long as you're not using the dash.

Area, I didn't know about this glitch, I play on a tablet and the touch controls are a nightmare+ I have touch controls issues where I false push or push another button, some times I push nothing and the tablet register a button push, aka ghost button push, I entered the room in the start of the second jump and spam the dash button while it loads the next room and I ended up on the platform, besides that every thing else is easy even the boss, i beat it in my first boss battle try, what a weakling is that boss. lol
Fast travelling was absolute horse shit. You have to memorize the shape of the room you want to go or remember them by the long and weird area names and order. Thank god im done with this.
This mini game is hardly mini anymore. On the one hand it was entertaining, on the other hand it was also exhausting. But what fascinated me most was the twist. (Spoiler Theory)

At the beginning I wasn't sure and thought it was an internal battle. After the fight against the 4 idols I was still not 100% sure.
But by the last scene against the final boss I was sure. Our character is the corruption and we saw everything as raptures and eliminated it until we were finally eliminated.

Never too late, but you've got a lot of grinding to do.
Until I got double jump and attack upgrades, it was pretty awful to explore. Worst part was no controller support. I love these types of games but the controls made it a chore for me;
I'm going to go against everyone else here & say that I thought the "mini-game" was fun, but man was it a huge time sink. It was the biggest "mini-game" I've played from a gacha game.
I think the fairest criticism is that the controls for the mini-game is more difficult to play on mobile/phone, but then again, so is the actual game. For me playing on PC, I thought it was mostly easy, with a few hard spots like the jumping puzzle to the hidden extra boss.
Also finding all the collectible memory chips was super time consuming with no reward for 100% completion. At least someone actually posted a YT video for all their locations. I guess collecting the memories is for lore people...and people with OCD.
I'm not sure if it's worth doing the hard+ mode for the last 2-3 challenge mission rewards though. Maybe if I get bored...
the best way to make money is to rush every boss on new game + mode and repeat.
