*Looked at a lot of options for getting my **Latest.Bike** . Great find in SAVA. Super light, nice components, really good value as it comes with many options only found in much higher priced bikes.*
I am 5ft 8 and a bit! 😊 Tried the M but when I came down from the seat it felt like I was almost on the bars. The M/L just felt more comfortable. Lovely smooth bike , really enjoying it!
Great review as always. I’ve watched a lot of your videos and they are very helpful and clear. I bought one of these and it looks pretty cool and accelerates very quickly. I didn’t even realise that it came tubeless too. Trek can thank you for another sale!
Definitely this color blows my mind and the specs of this bike, you just need to upgrade the brakes to a deore ones and the bike will be ready for ANY challenge, next month i will go for this xcaliber 🤟🏼
Great. May I ask the weld by seat tube and upper frame "the triangle" doesnt look nice but must be there for better safety? In XL size the triangle weld is really big, bigger than in smaller sizes.
why do they put that extra triangle bit of weld inbetween the top tube and the seat tube? most bikes don't have this isn't this just adding extra weight?
aside from head tube failure, seat/top tube is another area of failure points especially when top tube on modern MTB slops down where it meets the seat tube. it's defiantly a welcome re-enforcement for those hard riders.
@@johnnyk6906 I hear what your saying but i believe it would be perfectly fine without the extra weld. You just have to look at carbon bikes that don't even have the extra triangle weld and there notorious for cracking. The main stress fractures on bikes are on the chainstay and they have no extra weld there.
Can I use this bicycle when I have 150kg? I know the weight limit from Trek webpage but please write me your opinion. Thank you. I know I must loose at least 25kg later.
Hi! I recently came into posession of one of these from a deceased relative. Trying to sell for funeral costs. It's an older model- may I send you pictures & maybe you can give me an estimate of what it's worth? Thanks
A M/L would definitely fit you better, medium tops out at about 5’9” while M/L tops out at 5’11” you could even do a size large which ranges from 5’10” - 6’2” but I’d suggest M/L
Just ordered one of these, have no idea about bikes but want to put some slightly bigger tires on, does anybody know if 29” 2.6 will fit fine on the front ?
@@TalalipopMTB I think it's definitely the color. The white model from your other video has the same weld job but I didn't notice until watching this video. I'd definitely get the white one.

Awesome! I got the exact model and colorway in M last March 2022. I've been shreddddding trails since day 1!!!!
Got the exact same color two days back 23 model in M/L… Sexy beast of a bike!
Big upgrade for me from my 17 yr old Scott Reflex 20.
That’s awesome!!
And how tall are you Naeem cause im sceptic about size L and M/L !?

Thank you!! I appreciate that :) thanks for watching!
Really nice bike. Keep doing more xcal videos man!
Thanks! I will :D
They shipped those grips on my xcaliber 9 and they chafed my palms so badly but a new upgrade and a ergon sm saddle changed the game. Happy trails!

Yess!
And a dropper post
Finally i got it 4 month ago, I am in love of my bike but definetly I need to change de breaks

Hi,I have a ML size of one of these and the extra support weld you mention is tiny compared to this one in the video, which is XL.
Does Maxxis rekon 29*2.4 fit into these Bontrager rims?

How does this bike compare to the Roscoe 7 that you have?
Its a nice bike...nice review as always..🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️
And thank you as always!
Guys, help me do i go for marlin 8 or xcaliber 8 ? Please need honest suggestion 🙏
Hi, do you know when the new Marlin 2023 series will come out?
No I do not unfortunately
It’s out now (Nov ‘22) in the UK. They gone slacker in the front-end geometry.
@@55mtb51 Thanks for replying. I already bought a dual sport and I really like it.

I paid 400 for a mint condition 2017 mofel
hello, do you know if there are any differences with the 2023 model? thanks!!
None.
Great content 👌 please review trek fuel ex5 2022
Nice Vid!. ? How tall are you?. I'm 5'11.. Do I need a medium or M/L?

Trek website says maximum 2.4” tyres
For some reason the welding is jumping out at me - doesn’t look as fine you normally associate with Trek…
Yeah I agree in this case it did seem less refined. May also be the color making it stick out more

Does this sit a little more upright than the marlin?
No it’s pretty much the same geometry as the marlin, though you are able to make it more upright by moving some spacers around
Can this have a dropper post installed?
Yes it can!
made in Vietnam??
I hate to look at the hugely long handelbar stem
Newcolor?
New color for 2022 yes!
I got it for £760
Made in Vietnam, not a USA made, SAD sad sad...
You want the bike to cost $10,000?
For 1600 bucks, I'd want those welds cleaned up a bit more.
Yeah I can agree with that
2022 year and you using pounds hahah
Still using it here in the states.
