@@raimundoalvarez8899 that’s where I got my start. The Long Walk sucked me in and the rest is history. The Dark Tower series is my favorite thing ever created.
I love when Stephen reads his own books. You really get the sense of how this book is supposed to be read. He gives the books the essence of the book and characters. This is going to be another awesome. You can picture where they are due to such great descriptive writing.
Thank you! Please do this more often even if it's just snippets of books. Thank you for the wonderful horrors you have given us Constant Readers through the years.
Always an inspiration. Stephen's writing always takes me away to different worlds when I need to run away. His brain works in ways, unlike any other author. Brilliant -
So glad you are doing well and putting out your books. Your Constant Readers are gladly waiting for any books you put out. Never disappointed. Thank you very much Stephen King. ♥️♥️♥️
He has 2 sons: Joe and Owen. They are both authors. Stephen wrote a book with Owen. Joe has quite a few novels and short stories on his own. Joe is active on Tumblr more so than on Twitter.
I believe I have close to all his books and audiobooks in my collection, and I've read and listened to them all, some many times. I love it best when Steve reads his own work...listening at the feet of Gan...
I prefer when he reads his books too🦋... I've been hearing his voice for 30 years. Sometimes it's in my head, sometimes on audiobook. He's generous with his time ☺️
I love his books have been reading them since I was 14 Can not wait for Billy Summers. I am almost finished reading later so I need another one to read
Could listen to this man read forever.......Could read this man's books nonstop.......Heartfelt & huge thank you from a Constant Reader here in Staunton, VA
Hi Molly's Dad👋 I find that absolutely awesome that your dad is going to read his work, Molly! 👉 I love story time. And So I must remind myself to tune in. Looking forward to it! 🤗
I picked up 3 Hard Crime editions recently, Later, The Colorado Kid, and Joyland. I really enjoyed Later its a short read about 2 days but would recommend it. Currently half way through if it bleeds too.
I can't believe The Master Storyteller is sharing this gem. What a World Legend you are Mr King. The wind and windchimes add to the aura. Feels like I'm visiting gram gram's again with a lemonade
Devine. Best part, Mr. King, good part the wind in the microphone and the birdies. Am going to ignore the part where Billy Summers that " garbage man with a gun" is thinking of retirement and hope it is not a reflection of the author's feelings. Love, Constant Reader.
I wait breathless, every 24 months or so, for you to tell me a new, riveting story. Thank you for your generous with your imagination❤️ Constant reader, Melissa Hope
Ive always thought of his writing being like slipping into an old, comfy pair of PJs. Surrounds you with that familiar comfort of knowing it'll be a good one. Set in quickly with The Institute, so enjoy 😊
I hope to win the audiobook version. His audiobooks help me to go to sleep. I have to fight insomnia and severe sleep apnea. Listening to his books is literally a life saver.
Something i'm sure he'd be disappointed with. He'd probably be more impressed if they GAVE u insomnia instead of helping u fight it Edit: just thought of something that would be totally ironic: what if the book that helps u get to sleep the fastest is Insomnia
The Outsider didn’t give me insomnia but it did give me paranoia of The Outsider lurking around dark corners or floating outside my window. Totally worth it
Hello Stephen King, I would first of all like to say I have been an avid reader of your books for years. I love the way you write. I enjoy the way you entice your readers so they have to keep reading, because they must know what is next. Thank you for that! Second, I would like to say I love hearing you read, your voice is wonderful. I am going on a solo trip that will take about 25 hours. I am now looking into your books on tape. I am so stoked being able to hear you while I am driving. Thank you for all of the painstaking work you do, so that the mass public can be entertained by you. Tabitha is a lucky woman. Hugs to both of you. Loretta McGlory, Pennsylvania
Constant reader since the early 90s. I’ve read them all and can’t wait to read this one too. Thanks for the live reading. Side note: Lisey’s Story was the very best King screen adaptation I’ve ever seen. For sure check it out if you’d like to see classic King weirdness displayed in the most gorgeous way possible.
Thank you so much for taking time to let us into your world! Thank you for all the joy, fear and for helping me get through some very challenging times. You’re the best!!
There's something arresting about one of the world's greatest writers reading from one of his own books with white drops hangin' out of his ears and the wind rustlin' through his hair. Love the sound effects. Love the reading too.
I thought so too! I was thinking to myself ‘what a cool time to be alive that we get to see an author live , no big deal’ on RUclips reading out of HIS book…. So cool!
Ive been reeding SK since I was 16. My first book was IT. I read it in a week and it creeped me out so much!! It was great!!xD I luf him so much. He knows how to take my hand and lead me into a far worse but better world that I could have dreamed myself. c:
Well, despite the wind noise for this reading, I plan to buy the book. What choice do I have? I’ve read virtually everything else he’s written. Must be nice to have a little breeze. In summer in Louisiana, that’s pretty rare, except when we have major hurricanes. The latter is not so rare. Last year we had three.
Hello american friends. We in Russia did not even publish the novel "later" and you already have an excerpt from his new book. If I wrote it with big mistakes, then I'm sorry
Wow, "Later" and "If it Bleeds" were the only books I could truly focus on during the pandemic. And mabye some short Ken Bruen mysteries, but those go down like water
Super excited for this novel. I don't mind King's supernatural edge--always woven deftly into the plot--but I really enjoy when he flexes his crime/suspense muscle. "Mr. Mercedes" was an excellent example. Can't wait 📖
🤔👍📝❤️Stephen King ,is one of my biggest inspirations for writing horror stories .👻🎃📜He is simply amazing ! 🏆I love to listen to him read his works out loud .While giving his audience such a vivid image in their minds, as he includes even the smallest details of the forwarding motion, "Actions" as it leads up to the bigger picture of what he is describing in his stories .All a while keeping his audience engaged and wanting to hear or read more !That's what it takes to be a successful writer ! He is Absolutely Brilliant !He will always get 5 stars + ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+ 💯% ❤️
The Shaolin master of dialogue. He always puts so much paint on the brush. Billy Summers has got that urban watercolour down pat. SK's On Writing is a great read, too. It's the most incisive, bullshit-free take on the craft out there.
So...maybe recording outside with the wind going wasn't a great idea.
The noise of the flag completely covered some of what he was saying for me. Even using the audio boost didn't help.
Yea...about that..
I watched less than 2 minutes and gave up. Was really excited to watch this too.
I never noticed.
No, it wasn't... :(
My goal is to read all Stephen King books. The ones under assumed names may pose difficult but the signature and quality of work is unmistakable.
The Bachman Books are really good.
They shouldn't be difficult to read.... 🤔🤨
His only pen name was Richard Bachman.
@@raimundoalvarez8899 that’s where I got my start. The Long Walk sucked me in and the rest is history. The Dark Tower series is my favorite thing ever created.
There's only one hard to get, one of the Bachmans, because he took it out of print/circulation
The wind is louder than his voice.
I like it. I listen to ambience when reading like beach waves and thunder storms

My favourite author ever! Read all his books, have the complete collection of his works, every words he has written. Love him!
I just love his work. He and his son are amazing writers. You can't beat his humor!
I loved Tabitha Kings books too!
He has 2 sons: Joe and Owen. They are both authors. Stephen wrote a book with Owen. Joe has quite a few novels and short stories on his own. Joe is active on Tumblr more so than on Twitter.
Both his sons, as well as wife, are amazing writers.
Yes I'm aware of his son Owens work, however, I personally prefer Joe's style of writing.
@@imjustme7306 Joe is the better writer and didn't rely on his Dad to help sell his book. Sleeping Beauties was awful.
thank you stephen! the sounds in the background add to the experience and charm of an author reading his work😊🤘

I love your work since I was 9 years old, in 1985. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina!

Same. My first was The Shining when I was 16. I have read all his books since then. I would give anything for a dedicated book, but I have no chance.
I love when you read your stories to us Mr. King. I look forward to reading Billy Summers ASAP. I've loved your writing since I was 15 years old.
