    I wouldn't want this to become the default or anything.
    But I would love to have this style of commentary thrown in every couple weeks for flavor.
    I find the higher level discussion and chill atmosphere delightful and extremely informative.

      I agree. But we have to consider that these kind of videos take double the time to make plus additional time for editing, so they're relatively high-cost.

    I prefer this commentary for so many reasons, but the biggest one is how much time jorbs is spending talking about the game and not worrying about chat

    i whould almost prefer having this style of commentary just for the winstreak, its pretty funny seeing you trying to figure out why you're doing something. it's almost like a viewer watching x]

    I appreciate the amount of time you're taking to do these "underexplained" runs. I'm a follower of RUclips Jorbs because I haven't really had an opportunity to catch Twitch Jorbs live, and it's really nice to hear you talk through your plays and talk about relic choices.

  • @ChampionJan

    You know Jorbs, I actually appreciate these kinds of videos. Your charm and wit is hilarious and backseating yourself is a concept I never expected but welcomed. I don't know if you already changed for the other videos but I would like this format for the others.

    I know this is probably a ton more work for you and it's different than when you are in the moment, but I really find this style of commentary helpful and entertaining. I would love if you could do all of the winstreak commentary this way.

    On the discussion of 1:05:00 or about: there's actually a rule for game design that reads: "A player, when given the chance will always optimize the fun out of your game". It's a known design challenge.

      i'm late on this but he didn't touch on how the truly optimal play there is to actually wait for dead branch to create an armaments so that he could upgrade the feed before playing it!

    Imma join the rest with some feedback. Enjoying the "Jorbsing youtube jorbses with post-commentary jorbs" so far.
    Because of the increased production difficulty you mentioned last time,
    I would have to agree with what some say in the comments: you could/should continue with it, like an off-weekly thing (gotta keep it special right?).
    Turn it into a new series of meta-analysis and jovial self-deprication.
    I mean you already have suitable titles for it: "The Win Streak" or "Underexplaining myself with me and I, featuring (insert any jorbs personality meme of the week)".
    It doesn't even need to be from the 10-0, any run you find interesting would do just fine.

    I love the atmosphere in these commentaries! They're very nice to listen to. The rain and lack of game audio combined with a more relaxed Jorbs makes a very chill/comfy setting.

  • @d3vism
    @d3vism 4 года назад +3

    I find the mix between knowing you'll win the run, the chill vibe there is when you're trying to explain your past actions and the background rain super relaxing. I wish we'll have more content like this.

    This format is really truly great. Usually I come here for the great gameplay and expect that sometimes you’ll not say anything for a while or flat out go to the bathroom in the middle of the run and leave it on the boss relic select screen, but here we get both top gameplay jorbs As well as spire-chat/actually-talking-about-what-his-discussions-are jorbs.

    Jorbs, I watch almost all of your content via youtube. I saw the run in which you were describing choosing the barricade with little block in your deck. At the time I was confused as to why you took it. Thank you for re-explaining it here! The idea of" threads of defeat" changing your card options makes a lot of sense to me now, I'm glad I held my two cents on it.

    I am going to savor these kinds of post commentary videos, man. I know it's not realistic for them to become a mainstay because it's so time consuming, but this stuff is easily the most enkoyable content you've made in my opinion! Really excited to follow this streak until the end!

  • @NameUnknown-

    About the dead branch and sneko eye talk, i cant imagine how somebody can see dead branch as a bad relic even if it's new to the game. With sneko eye, the first 5 to 10 times i picked it, i ended diying because awful costs draw due to sneko, so i rated it as a bad relic. After all the runs i've played now, i know its a great relic, but that firsts times picking it were so painful.

    These vod reviews are actually super interesting. I think it would get tiring if done too much, as i do enjoy the "live jorbs" better. But in this case, for the win streak, im loving this. Very cool to see how sometimes you yourself doubt your plays, or just see a better way by looking from the outside. Congrats on the streak and hope to see you live soon :)

    In response to your thoughts at 1:10:10, I exclusively watch on RUclips and thus mainly see the successful runs, or at least ones that make it to the Heart. However, the excitement for me comes from seeing HOW you get there. There are many times I'm watching and think, "Surely he's dead! But there's 30 minutes left in the video, so what sorcery is he going to pull off?" Watching how you handle those life or death decision making situations has taught me quite a bit.

    only way i could see getting by the feed issue of optimally waiting for it to proc, while still using the current systems and not needing a long explanation, is just to give the "fatal" cards the "ethereal" keyword

    • @tomvandalen2212
      @tomvandalen2212 4 года назад +1

    To solve the feed taking to long problem, you could make a new type of cards that disappear after 3 draws or it has 50% chance to disappear at the end of your turn. That way you can't abuse it as much

    Just adding to the "I find this enjoyable" crowd. But with a difference of not requesting more. It's nice, and I greatly appreciate you doing this so we can see all of the wins instead of just some of them. But it seems like you enjoy it less, and it clearly requires more effort (or at least time). I'm perfectly happy with your regular style vids, so whether you ever made any more like this, I'd be content either way. Thanks for everything!

    I really like this format for RUclips, though I understand the extra work required. You did a lot of analysis that would have slowed down live gameplay, (potions, Barricade, Snecko and draw) but applied in the context of an actual run that is hard to capture in a Spireside chat.
    If not knowing the outcome was important to me, I would just play the game; I watch STS vids to make my own game better and this is one of your best vids for that.
