My feeling with the urban redevelopment concept is that we’re getting pretty near-future since it feels like a reference to how Paris had its own redevelopment in the 1870s!
Actually, I think it’s around the same time as Legends: Arceus, since Ezo changed its name to Hokkaido (where Sinnoh is based on) in 1869, and there were some mentions of the Hisui region’s name maybe being changed to Sinnoh in the postgame!
As far am I am aware Legends could be just doing there own order since they started with Sinnoh while the mainline remakes have been going on since FireRed and LeafGreen. If Legends was like the mainline they would of had Legends Kanto but they don’t as it is necessary because of Arceus being the Pokémon God
Like 10 minutes before the start of the Pokemon presents I said in a chat something about them doing a Legends game set in the future on a whim. I didn't think I would be right.
We don't know if its set in the future my theory is that the development will make a crappy outdated version of Lumiose City into the Lumiose City we see in XY
Idk how people are getting the idea of future tho, like... it's literally just a 3d blueprint of MODERN Kalos, meaning it's from the time where they are now rebuilding the place to how it is currently.
it's the " beautiful " in the case file . lysandre's motivations in x and y are to keep the world permanently beautiful . he connected the dots between the tag line and the running motifs of x and y !!
Considering the idea that all of the L:A starters were from countries that had ties to Japan (Rowlet since there's a huge Japanese population in Hawaii, Cyndaquil from a neighboring country/region, likely brought by Kamado from his homeland, and Oshawott, an American starter that was likely brought in during America's pressures to make Japan open their borders to foreign countries), I think the next starters will have ties to France. Snivy for the French aristocracy theme, Sobble to represent Galaric interference, and I have a distinct vision of a new Fuecoco already due to France and Spain coexisting quite nicely in the past 😁
I've watched dozens of reaction videos and I think you are the only one to guess the title in the first 10 seconds, very impressive. I think it would be cool if in this game you could travel back and forth through time, helping out in the 1800s and going to the future to see the changes you made making the city in a way customizable and unlocking different things in the future depending on your choices.
I'm wondering if we're going near future or not so distant past for Legends Z-A. Redevelopment implies the existence of Lumiose already. If it does take place in the not so distant past, maybe we'll see younger versions of Diantha, Sycamore and Lysandre, instead of ancestors? Or if it does take place in the near future, maybe Lumiose has plans to extend beyond it's limits and Zygarde feels that humans are encroaching too far into the natural world? Also by not so distant past I mean like the Pokemon equivalent of the 1960's-1990's. I think that would be an interesting approach.
I think a Legends game set in an era like the 1960s and/or 1970s could be really cool. And with Kalos being based on France, where fashion is so important, I could really see them going all out with that stuff
Idk how people are getting the idea of future tho, like... it's literally just a 3d blueprint of MODERN Kalos, meaning it's from the time where they are now rebuilding the place to how it is currently.
finally someone who caught on to kalos from the architecture drawing! "is that like... france?" and then the moment of realization at what you just said lmao
Yes you are the only one I've seen that, like myself, just IMMEDIATELY got the Legends vibe. It was so similar to the first one is surprises me more people didn't catch on right away
Idk how people are getting the idea of future tho, like... it's literally just a 3d blueprint of MODERN Kalos, meaning it's from the time where they are now rebuilding the place to how it is currently.
I already knew there would be another legends game. Since the first one did fairly well, it was only a matter of time til they did another one. I just wasn’t aware it would be a gen 6 legends game which was pleasantly surprising. If any gen needs a remake or more lore, it’s gen 6. They needed it to most as that gen was rushed
I feel like I'm the only one who's noticed and picked up onnthe many hints and references to this taking place in the futute after the events of X and Y. Because Professor Sycamore's lab is the only other building besides Prism tower that is the same as they are in X and Y, all the building around the Lab are even bigger and more complex looking then before, the name Z-A implies going back to a new befy, a restart of sorts, They skipped Unova and dud past Sinnoh so Future Kalos makes perfect sense. And Ingo And Emmet's names in Japanese roughly translate to Rise and Fall. Meaning that they would each have to Rise and Fall through Space and Time in order to be reunited and get back home to Unova. Which they are saving for another different Legends game later on because they are actually taking their time with it and extra time at that. Plus Lumiose City Urban Redevelopment Plan actually is what happened in the X and Y Anime after it was destroyed from Lyssndre and Team Flare taking over and corrupting Zygarde. But in the games X and Y we never find out Lysandre's true fate after he fires AZ's Ultimate Weapon. I am convinced that this legends Z-A game is taking place in the future. Plus qe just had ancient past and distant future themes in Scarlet and Violet. And the final Cherri berry on top? That Talonflame evolved from the same exact Fletchling from the opening and ending cutscenes of X and Y. It fully evolved in the time that has past simce the events of X and Y. Plus Professor Sycamore's Message in the Couriway Town Station where he's writing to himself in thw future quote "To a Professor Sycamore dreaming of the future." It all comes together.
That's why it's called Pokemon Legends Z-A because its usually takes place before the original game comes up. The holographic presentation is just a blueprint for redeveloping the urbanize Lumiose City. The key words here we know it's before XY is the "A Vision of beautiful coexistence between people and Pokemon..." means that there are still conflict with the relationship if pokemon and humans. Modern eras are now getting along with pokemon but here it's to coexist. Also not a coincidence that they choose Kalos after Paldea because Paldea is a representation of Spain so it's near France which Kalos is based on. Not gonna be surprised if they mentioned Paldea and Galar (representation of UK) because they were in war before. actually Paris, France got a redevelopment plan in the 1850s like literally they demolished many buildings and ended the redevelopment plan by 1889 by finishing the Eiffel Tower last. It's possible for a future Kalos but it wouldn't feel like Legends if it's like that to be honest.
I have not been this pleasantly surprised from any announcement by Nintendo since years ago when they apologized for no Metroid Prime 4… before revealing Metroid Dread
Don't think that's gonna be the case The OG legends game didn't give anything to the gen 4 starters so don't think the gen 6 starters are gonna get any special treatment.
