I can already see a Pokémon episode about a Togepi who meets a Fabulisk and spends the whole episode trying to convince it why life outside of the shell is so amazing and in the end they both evolve from the friendship they formed
The entire Empteegrr line left me speechless, I know it's something that Pokémon couldn't get away with (Forcing you to shiny hunt to complete the dex, unless they gift you one), but it would be SO sick in-universe, I could even picture an anime protagonist having one as they go in a similar journey and arc
I had been thinking about the shiny locked element while creating the Pokemon, and even more so reading the comments. I think since the Pokemon games, while for all ages, usually resonate with a newer and younger generation with each new sequel, I'd imagine they could give the player a Shiny Empteegr as part of a storyline. It'll be very hard to evolve and help it fight but the gamer would again, persevere, and be rewarded after a long arduous journey with their Empteegr. I could definitely see an antagonist in the game having a Teegrr and being confident, making fun of the player and Empteegr for being weaker/different. The younger generations could learn a nice lesson along the way!
An alternative to justify it could be an epic gift Pokémon. If you do something obscenely hard like complete all the battle towers, complete all of the Pokédex except Empttegrr, or level up a Pokémon to level 100; a random NPC in an obscure place will gift you an empteegrr. Or will mention a strange colored Pokémon in a route.
It could be a mon you get from a very special side quest like how you got a Lucario in D/P/PLT Like you go to an optional area find a Empteegr and have to help it escape that area and then it will form a bond with you and let you capture it. Maybe also make it a one time thing where you can mess up and it will just run away and never come back.
Was actually thinking about that for the final form as well! It absolutely tracks, but I felt like the message I wanted to convey was the discipline element, which is why I went with "Measure twice, cut once."!
making a Shiny pokemon a brand new species who also reflects how some real world animals go through these issues due to their different then normal colors that don't help their survival while mixing in the ''Tigers earn their stripes'' phrase and also the art of Kintsugi (which i personally really love) is so clever because it makes things that are broken and would usually be bad look very beautiful and make them even better then what they originally looked like. To be real, I feel as thought I started as Teegrr but lost my stripes, before turning my weakness to strength. Which is why I actually thought you'd be developing what Teegrr turns into alongside empteegrr. I was under the assumption that Teegrr would be a nod to gifted kid syndrome, where, some children, mainly undiagnosed autistic kids, are more advanced than their peers and excel in some places but fall behind in others, that when they move up and grow up, they find they can't keep up with their peers anymore because they weren't taught the same way. So my thought was, when Teegrr evolved, its stripes turn dull and it's stats get worse because it's burnt out. It can't hunt like it used to, and it doesn't know what happened, what went wrong, what's wrong with it. I thought it would still turn to Kintorai in the end, because it still found its place and learned to push through hardship and find what works best, which still ties into the messages you chose. All in all, really saved the best for last and cannot wait to see more, I just wanted to share that little thought in my head.

When DeadBed mentioned sharks have that electricity-detecting organ and Vergo went "YES THEY DO" I felt that, really cool to see someone acknowledge a lesser-known animal fact. Also Vergo did you think you could get away with using Looker's sillouette without anyone noticing.
I love the Kintorai line because it reminds of "Let it all out" from Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Specifically the part of the song that goes "We'll take our scars and make them stars, let them shine in the night." I think Kintorai embodies this perfectly, even if it doesn't like it's scars.
Ahhh, I LOVE FMA so I really appreciate this comment! Also, slight correction - Kintorai embraces his scars/stripes -- Hostiger, the middle form, despises its scars!
Ooh I wonder if the "normal" version of kintorai will have a lower stat total but be ground type, kinda a throwback to having the natural advantage but not having gone through the same hardships, it could be like soft clay or terracotta to parallel the pottery theme, either way this was such a cool episode
What if it’s ground electric rather than steel electric, to reflect that it wasn’t as hardened by life, while also showing that it has a natural advantage
Regional form of Nibblem: an angry version that has Fire STAB and is a combustible lemon that’ll burn your house down Also Detonant’s Swarm form makes me think of SA-X from Metroid with the infested power suit look and the line of “you only have one hope: run.”
Can we just talk about how REWARDING the shiny line would be to find? Not only do you get a shiny, but an entire sick, exclusive evolutionary line with a great story and design. I'd be so down for a shiny exclusive evolutionary line. (The pokedex problem can easily be solved by making it a sort of "secret" pokemon like mythicals, so it doesn't count towards dex completion)
When I heard that the theme was proverbs my first thought was a “live laugh love” Pokémon that just appears in households for no real reason but to take up wall space as decor
Danggggg these were SO COOL! Y'all are so freakin creative. Kintorai is amazing! The whole concept of Ron's first one was so wholesome and lovely. It really shows when we connect art to our own emotions and stories and personalities it just has a whole extra layer! I also loved how Snake boi went from "don't talk to me" to "HOWDY NEIGHBOUR NEED A HAND?!"
Many of these mons were fantastic but not gonna lie, BonnyJohn’s concept for the Kintorai line was absolutely next level. I really hope Pokémon implements something akin to that one day
I love how I've seen these Pokemon in the future video intros and they're just "ehh dog. Ehh tiger" but now seeing them in context with all the lead up I'm 100% in love with the designs. There's something so very Pokemon in going "ew I hate this" to "no but actually this one is my friend and they're precious" because the context is important! Absolutely loving your video collabs, I hope this continues for a long, long time!
I've never left a comment on any of these but the Empteegrr line is literally the coolest thing I've ever seen and the amount of effort put into thinking it through in both design, concept, lore, and exceptional storytelling. Fucking love Kintorai so much
These are all wonderful, but Bonny’s is potentially the most ingenious pokemon concept I have ever seen, it is so incredibly pokemon and so much better than like half of the official pokemon in concept. It is impressive for a fakemon to look like it could be a pokemon, but Empteegr and Kintorai don’t even like look fakemon. I am genuinely speechless, even the design of Kintorai is so unique and well put together with its face and build. And if you upped its shiny odds a little bit this pokemon could be crazy to encounter for the first time. Imagine spotting a shiny pokemon in the wild, then you go to fight it and it turns out its a different pokemon. Just wow - Unrelated note, I love the silhouette of the fire ant in its swarm form. Its perfectly balanced and manages to look like a pokemon despite how incredibly detailed it is. The fire in its hand somehow balances the silhouette out so it still looks like its moving and in an intense action pose, without looking lopsided
I liked how he pointed out that the shiny version of Pokémon that everyone wants would probably have a hard life in the wild just like the real animals that would struggle to survive in the wild
everyone's fakemon are so unique and amazing, and i'd love to have all of them on my team! fabulusk is such a cute little fella, and it's evolved form is amazing, very wholesome! dalmission is a good boy with good boy plans! i adore snorzzzoi's homage to the borzoi memes, gotta love a good meme reference, and in general, it's just so cute. nibblem is just amazing and i want it to be my friend. detonant and its swarm form is so freaking cool, the swarm form is especially awesome as fuck. puripurin is such a wholesome little bean! and the kilofelow line is absolutely stunning! i love how kintorai is basically the "fuck around and find out" pokemon. i also love the idea of the split evolution between Teegrr and it's shiny form, it's an incredibly unique concept.
I wasn't expecting Ron to get so deep all of the sudden. I can relate to all that. It's funny how we can feel so alone sometimes, and feel like nobody goes through of what you go through. Hearing someone who you look up to expressing their insecurities really put things in perceptive.
The Emteegrr to Kintorai concept is absolutely amazing and the art is killer! Hostiger's scars forming interim stripes a sad but cool concept. People would farm for Empteegrrs so much, like hooooly...
My god, these were insane!! I looooved the concepts behind all of them, especially the last line because I have wondered the exact same thing about if shiny pokemon are worse off for their shiny nature like albino or melanistic or otherwise different colour morph animals are irl!! So it was really awesome to see such a satisfying line related to it. Kintorai is so awesome. Every artist did amazing!!
For sure that was the focus of going with the shiny here! I know the idea of a shiny is to not have any specific advantage over their counterpart so Empteegrr is definitely in its own little corner to explore that concept
The last one actually made me cry, like tears streamed down my face. I can't put into words how perfectly you described my-and a lot of other peoples-lives. Everybody, no matter who you are and what your life is, will get broken at some point. Even if or when you try to prolong it, you will get broken in some way, and possibly even multiple times. The only way to get back is to slowly pick up the pieces, understand them again, and place them back only when you've fully understood why you've broken and how you can make it better.
If a region existed with all of these Pokémon designs in it, I’d make sure to use every single one. The concepts are so well thought out and I am in awe at every single one. The guest artists, and of course Ron himself, are so insanely talented it’s insane.
This is insane!!!! All of you are beyond talented and I didn't expect myself to get emotional. Game freak, for future gens, should take notice of such talent and look to the Fandom for their next pokemon lineup. I mean imagine a lineup based on fan-made fakemon??? Each artist is given credit and recognized as an official pokemon contributor. Bravo, bravo, bravo, bravo.
Yay! I was looking forward to this video!!! As an artist and biologist I love seeing how different artists translate proverbs into believable Pokémon. I get really excited and curious to see what species each artist uses. I can confidently say that there is one Pokémon that each artist has made that I would love to have on my team. I am excited for the next one!!!!!
This episode was a banger, I was absolutely not expecting to be moved to tears multiple times. The middle entries were less emotional but also wonderfully thought out and made. Every artist brought something special from their own life and perspective of the world, and of course everyone's artistic skills are so highly developed. Bravo!!
Fact! This is the first episode in the series that doesn't introduce a new artist! Every episode except for this one has introduced at least one new artist, with the most recent one introducing two. All of these designs are great and it was fun to see and hear everybody's process once again! I find it funny that Moxie making 8 forms for a 2 stage line influenced the overall ambition of every entry here. He's inadvertently set a standard for 4 Artists and I am living for it! I really can't decide which of these is my favorite, they're all so well made! Good job everybody!
The Kintorai line is awesome. I don't think it would work exactly that way in a game, but I definitely want one. I think if they used it, it would just be a rarer variant, but not technically a shiny.
Bruh the entire Empteegrr line absolutely left me speechless. All these fakemon were absolutely fantastic and the inspirations behind them were definitely awe inspiring. But just the idea of taking a shiny pokemon and making it its own species, taking that idea of a tiger earning its stripes, and then bringing it full circle with kintsugi and making this incredibly beautiful and regal looking creature...absolutely left me speechless. I personally love equating shiny pokemon to melanistic or albino animals, or any other animals of colors differing outside of the norm so that last line just stole my heart. You all put so much love and care and fun into these designs and I love this series as a whole but so far because of the proverb inspirations and just how each of these pokemon seem to have some personal touch about them, I think this is my favorite episode in the series so far. 💖
The episode is really good, I love all of these concepts and designs, but let me tell you I was completely blown away by Kintorai. I do think the first stages could use more interesting base shapes since they're quite basic tigers, but man, the third form and whole concept and execution slap SO HARD! awesome job everyone!
The dog from deadbedspread was genuinely my favorite, the design ( ~and the meme~ ) was on point. One thing that would have completed this pokemon (for me) and thus the proverb would have been to give it a form after it woke up, like idk after being hit or brought to half hp, becoming a more aggressive form and changing the almost ethereal white and purple in a dark and red or something like that, boosting its attacks and speed and lowering the defences. All in all, i loved it, it just didn't go as i imagined while going through it
seeing the kintsugi as inspo, I was speechless. that’s actually a genuinely beautiful thing to base something on. I am curious to see how the base form evolves too ngl, does the shiny get entirely different forms or does the base have similar forms with different colours? ngl, this kinda inspired me to make a character with kintsugi as the inspiration. love these videos
This is such an amazing series. To see all of these artists come together and create amazing work is truly inspiring. This series has inspired me to start doing my own fakemon. Would love to see part 8. Keep being your outstanding selves truegreen, vergo, Bonny, and Dead Bed Spread.
That joke about Snorrozoi drifting towards a pie would be a brilliant joke in the anime. Its trainer puts a bowl of food down where it's sleeping and says something like "Here you go buddy, freshly made", somebody else argues that's dumb because Snorrozoi's asleep so the food is bound to be cold/stale by the time it gets round to eating it, but then there's a burp and it turns out Snorrozoi ate it in the few seconds they weren't looking. All without waking up.
I love Nibblem. The fact that it is a happy shark in the shape of a lemon makes it even better because there is a saying in german "Sauer macht lustig" which basically means that sour things make you funny or happy because of the hilarious faces you make.
"Thankfully they don't do that because that would be pretty bad" Team Blank plot, Friendly Kilofelow become Wattchabak, mistreated one's start lashing out and when they're kept in captivity together they have a chance of joining up and evolving into some electric Hydra/rat king esc horror.
These designs are amazing! And I love the idea of basing pokemon off proverbs and phrases. If you ever revisited the prompt again, here's a quote suggestion. "The child rejected by the village will burn it down to feel it's warmth."
Best episode by far, combining the proverbs and the pokemon just made everything extremely interesting and purposeful in a way. I would definitely love to see another episode like this one... brilliant!
I agree lol this episode had some of my favorite fakemon I’ve seen them being baskilisk and the kilofellow line all of them being in my top ten favorite fakemon lol
this was truly so inspirational video and perfectly demonstrates the powerful connection and resolve that Pokémon brings so peoples lives! Love this series to death!
The Pokémon is a lotus-flower-chip-shaped ship to reference the reason that phrase was said was because they were looking for Uncle Iroh’s lotus-flower chip.
This episode was insane! Ron starting strong with a beautiful story and Bonny leaving me speechless with the amazing design and beautifully described journey of the Pokémon. Honestly there's only a few times I've seen a fakemon and wished it were real and this is definitely one of them! I consider this one in my top ten Pokémon even though it's not "official"
Imagine if hostiger is added to the game and each one has a different stripe pattern. As the stripes are like the ones it got by being hit. It would be a great addition. Having different patterns for each.
I like how bonny pulled a Moxie 😂😂, not only did he make too many Pokémon but he made cats(Moxie likes making simple animals like dogs and cats in these vids). Also the whole teegrr line reminds me of the cut tiger Pokémon from the old betas.
i know he probably intended this but i think the teegrr line maintaining regular stats throughout its evolution stages and empteegrr’s line starting with low stats and then ending with pseudo-legendary stats would show how it’s had to claw its way up and fight to be stronger in the end
Fabulisk & Baskilisk is by far your best work yet on every level. Story, aesthetics, pokemoness, stats, abilities. I wouldn't 2nd guess if that was actually a pokemon. Well done and thanks!!
You know, as I heard the description of Hostiger and how the scars it has supposedly help it, I couldn't help but think "easy to say when you don't have them". This is because I have a huge scar on my back and scar tissue in the nerves in my spine below my big lower back scar, and it causes me a lot of pain. That scar tissue rubs on the nerves and well causes pain. And for a second I was all bitter and angry, and then I remembered what I read in this guy's Pokedex entry about how it hates its scars too. And I realized that this Pokemon is kind of like me! It's mad at the world, and feels hurt and confused. And honestly, it felt really nice! It was nice to finally have a character that has scars and hates them. I know I've seen it before, but that's usually because it relates to the character's tragic backstory, and yes that does happen, but I feel like a lot of people forget about those of us that have scars and hate them because they cause physical pain! Honestly based on the Pokedex entry, these scars sound at least annoying as hell for Hostiger. Anyway, it was nice to see my experiences reflected in this little guy, and to reframe my issues like this. I'm hoping I'll soon reach the next state where my scars are more a sign of my life in a good way instead of being a burden, but I just wanted to say thank you for creating this guy. As a disabled person, society will often treat people like me as a burden and to instead see myself like this guy, it just helped me feel better after a long painful day! Thank you, and I hope you all have a nice day too! And for any other disabled people and people with chronic pain, you aren't alone, and as long as you are willing to work at it, there are people that will be willing to help!

@@BonnyJohn eh, potatoe, pototoe
this video not only displays lots of creativity but it is also soo wholesome ❤
Ooh I wonder if the "normal" version of kintorai will have a lower stat total but be ground type, kinda a throwback to having the natural advantage but not having gone through the same hardships, it could be like soft clay or terracotta to parallel the pottery theme, either way this was such a cool episode
👀
What if it’s ground electric rather than steel electric, to reflect that it wasn’t as hardened by life, while also showing that it has a natural advantage
Regional form of Nibblem: an angry version that has Fire STAB and is a combustible lemon that’ll burn your house down
Also Detonant’s Swarm form makes me think of SA-X from Metroid with the infested power suit look and the line of “you only have one hope: run.”
That regional form idea is so unhinged I love it
Can we just talk about how REWARDING the shiny line would be to find?
I really hope Pokémon implements something akin to that one day
🙏
Baskilisk’s concept hits very close to home, incredible job :]
Fucking love Kintorai so much
Kintorai also reminds me of the scene from The Lion King where Mufasa tells Simba to "Remember who you are." as he speaks from the clouds
Just wow
-
Unrelated note, I love the silhouette of the fire ant in its swarm form. Its perfectly balanced and manages to look like a pokemon despite how incredibly detailed it is. The fire in its hand somehow balances the silhouette out so it still looks like its moving and in an intense action pose, without looking lopsided
Thanks for such a kind comment
I liked how he pointed out that the shiny version of Pokémon that everyone wants would probably have a hard life in the wild just like the real animals that would struggle to survive in the wild
The Empteegrr line didn't have to hit so hard
But at the same time
its hard to beat a Super Sentai bug
I love all of these
everyone's fakemon are so unique and amazing, and i'd love to have all of them on my team!
fabulusk is such a cute little fella, and it's evolved form is amazing, very wholesome! dalmission is a good boy with good boy plans! i adore snorzzzoi's homage to the borzoi memes, gotta love a good meme reference, and in general, it's just so cute. nibblem is just amazing and i want it to be my friend. detonant and its swarm form is so freaking cool, the swarm form is especially awesome as fuck. puripurin is such a wholesome little bean! and the kilofelow line is absolutely stunning! i love how kintorai is basically the "fuck around and find out" pokemon. i also love the idea of the split evolution between Teegrr and it's shiny form, it's an incredibly unique concept.
Kintorai brought me to tears. I need it to be real! Its design is beautiful and I love the black on gold, really pops. Great job everyone!
As someone whose family has generations of firefighters, I LOVE Dalmission so much! Your creativity is off the charts! 🔥
This really is one of my favorite series on your channel! Everyone killed it! They all look so good!
I wasn't expecting Ron to get so deep all of the sudden. I can relate to all that. It's funny how we can feel so alone sometimes, and feel like nobody goes through of what you go through. Hearing someone who you look up to expressing their insecurities really put things in perceptive.
The entire episode, amazing. But that “oh hello” at 11:57? Daaamn
In the words of Ed Sheeran, - pick up the pieces and build a lego house. Kiktorai is the most badass lego house ever built
I love Dalmission! It's the best Dalmation fakemon I've ever seen! I was gonna make one, but nothing can top this.
Guys you’ve outdone yourselves here!! Every single design is amazing and I want it to be real
really great concepts from everyone! MrBonnyJohn's tiger line is actually immaculate, mad props-- everyone did a great job :)
keep it up!
Glad you liked our work!
The names in this video are absolutely impeccable. Dalmission, Snorzzzoi, and Kilofelow are all S-tier.
I think baskilisk is the best fake on you have ever made! Incredible work
Man, just your segment of the video hits hard. Legiterally, though, you talked about two of my biggest realizations in counseling. I love it!
How did this episode go this hard?! We need more! Wonderful designs overall!
Everytime he says "its an animal thats black and white so i don't need to tell you what animal it is" i keep thinking he means a damn panda
Yeeeeessss, this Format is peak creativity. I rewatched all previous Videos 3 times at least and its always a pleasure
I love Nibblem. The fact that it is a happy shark in the shape of a lemon makes it even better because there is a saying in german "Sauer macht lustig" which basically means that sour things make you funny or happy because of the hilarious faces you make.
At some point we need a fangame with all these amazing Mons :)
"What dog is super relevant to popular culture right now?"
"BLUEY?"
I laughed out loud.
These artists are absolutely amazing
Edit: mom I’m famous lmao
@average agreed >:D
"I think statistically, they sleep."
"They do sleep."
I absolutely love the Kilofelow and Empteegrr lines!! The thought behind them is incredible
"Thankfully they don't do that because that would be pretty bad" Team Blank plot, Friendly Kilofelow become Wattchabak, mistreated one's start lashing out and when they're kept in captivity together they have a chance of joining up and evolving into some electric Hydra/rat king esc horror.
I wasn’t expecting a critical hit to my feels in this video
when dead said "i'm sitting down and i need to sit down" i FELT that
These designs are amazing!
Detonant be lookin like Four Arms and Heatblast had a baby, plus some features from his relatives golisopod and buzzswole.
Thank you for Dalmission! My father is a fireman and its cool to see a pokemon that would work with my dad.

DeadBedSpread: Statistically they sleep…

baskilisk is so cute! i LOVE his expression like your friend noted. it’s so well done
See, my favorite proverb is "Are you two so caught up in fighting, you cannot see that your own ship has set sail?!"
It’s no proverb.
Perhaps it should be a proverb...
Okay. This episode is the best Truegreen7 video. I loved all the designs and backstory. This is what I love about Pokemon
That empteeger line is incredible
omg.... I got so emotional by the end. These were absolutely beautiful and so moving!!
Nibblem also works as a dog because lemon sharks act like dogs happy to see their owners
Imagine if hostiger is added to the game and each one has a different stripe pattern. As the stripes are like the ones it got by being hit. It would be a great addition. Having different patterns for each.
40:50 when I look at WATTCHABAK’s head I see a stapler
I like how bonny pulled a Moxie 😂😂, not only did he make too many Pokémon but he made cats(Moxie likes making simple animals like dogs and cats in these vids). Also the whole teegrr line reminds me of the cut tiger Pokémon from the old betas.
i know he probably intended this but i think the teegrr line maintaining regular stats throughout its evolution stages and empteegrr’s line starting with low stats and then ending with pseudo-legendary stats would show how it’s had to claw its way up and fight to be stronger in the end
It’s always the highlight of my day seeing another video in this series.
Fabulisk & Baskilisk is by far your best work yet on every level.
Story, aesthetics, pokemoness, stats, abilities. I wouldn't 2nd guess if that was actually a pokemon. Well done and thanks!!
This first one made me cry so hard. Its beautiful I love it
Is so adorable seeing you guys all animal nerd out with each other, and the end results are crazy
Such an awesome prompt! The fakemon did not disappoint! 🤩
