Unboxing: Jaded Gem Shop Diamond Paintings - "Sail the Sea" and "Evening" 😍 So dreamy!

Hello friends!
Welcome to an unboxing of two beautiful kits and new releases from Jaded Gem Shop. I'll be adding "Sail the Sea" to my Mari945 princess collection, and I also ordered my first kit from the artist Mimimaru called "Evening." I chose to get "Evening" in a crop of the image so I could get a smaller size, but still see the detail of the part of the image I loved. These kits were "made to order" and are highly customizable - you choose the size, drill shape, image crop, whether to add ABs or crystals, etc.
The quality on these kits looks fantastic! I'll have some additional reviews and unboxings for you to take a look at below, if you're curious to see more.

Thank you for this video and all of the links to reviews in the description. I ordered a kit with foxes called "Mischievous Woods" by the artist Little Alfard back in January and I can't wait for it to arrive. But it's also my first JGS purchase so I was really worried if I'd made a mistake purchasing it in squares, or the largest size, etc. Your reviews really put those fears to rest. In terms of artwork, Jade gets me on a spiritual level. The artwork she chooses is consistently gorgeous and I'll probably be ordering a lot more from her in the future. I just wanted to get my first kit in and see for myself if the boutique pricing was really worth it and it definitely seems like it is. I'm also happy to know that she compensates her artists really well.
I'd love to buy a kit from Jaded Gem Shop. I just need instant gratification, and I don't want to wait a month or longer, lol. Also, the prices are pretty high. It's easier for me to pay for a diamond art club. You get points for your purchases, and I usually get the kits within a week.
I have multiple canvases of Jaded Gem Shop and every one of them is stunning, the process of seeing the colours bring the canvas to life due to the photo-negative printing makes me want to keep working longer to see how it turns out. It's very addicting. Jade is super helpful if you have any questions or help needed with shipping/customs or multiple order packaging. Certainly my all time favourite diamond painting shop even if I pay a glorious amount of shipping as I'm from the EU haha.

I love the original artwork of sail of the sea. The canvas looks intimidating and colors are “wow” on the canvas. I would love to see this finished. I hear so many good things about Jada Gem Shop and I really do want to try one.

I do not have any Jaded Gemshop kits in my stash at the very moment. I did order 2 from her for Jaded Gemboree in the middle of February. So they will more than likely arrive at the start of April in time for the event. Seeing you unbox her kits is making me totally hype 🤩

the Sail the Sea one is obviously Moana. I support licensed artwork, I do not buy cheap Ali stolen artwork, and yet I feel it is a bit controversial to deem it licensed when it is clearly not Disney licensed and an artist is being compensated while clearly using the image of a character that is obviously not their IP. It is not a rant on Katie or even Jade, but the whole community should be more diligent on the IP field, because it can come to bite the very same community/artists later.
I believe it’s considered fan art because it is inspired by Moana, but does not use actual Disney images, colors, faces, etc. There are lots of artists out there that are legally licensed doing similar works, like Mandie Manzano, etc.
I too feel confused as this is Moana. I’d like to understand how this is original artwork.

Jade has actually talked about this quite a bit this is considered “fan art” it is not a direct drawing of the character it is the artist interpretation, however you can always make your own personal judgement and go from there :)
The problem with fan art is that even the actual characters from the Disney studio, could change in appearances, depending on what’s they are adapted into. Like for characters that don’t translate well into 3D, for a walkable costumed character, will have somethings changed to better adapt to the situation.
Look at the characters from Tangled the movie, they had some modifications to fit the more 2D look, when they was adapted into a 2D show.
Just like what sitafinel said, Disney has attacked companies and artists who did fan art of their works, before. I think that’s what happened to DAC, with the Princess Panels.
