You just confirmed what I tell people when they ask me this question. Great video Neil. The skill to learn for the future is how to take a long tail keyword that is non competitive, and flip it over to the acquisition of a lead of a very highly competitive and expensive CPC keyword through properly assembled content.
Post the corona era. Small companies wants results from day 1 and that is why they prefer paid ads over SEO or long term goals. However, these explanation will surely help small companies to focus on SEO and organic traffic the due importance that they want. Thanks for sharing
I did a presentation on this very topic two weeks ago and I compared the investment of writing an article, once at $500, and saw for a local business, how it generated an average of 800 visitors to that page a month. It’s been doing this for 18 months. The cost, if we used paid ads, based on the cost per click, would have been, using the high and low, between 16,000-24000 a month. Adding video and written content, weekly, over this same time has seen this companies revenue 6X. I am in the put out content weekly, run paid traffic to it camp…this small investment is like kindling when starting a fire…thank Neil for another home run message!
Great video Neil! I think paid ads are great for leads gen in the short term, but SEO is fantastic for that long term organic lead generation which is not completely free but at the same could pay off very well.
as someone with very little money looking to get into digital marketing, im torn on where to invest my resources. ive been thinking about CPC but SEO seems like a cheaper option but im still just kind of lost. its a hard industry to break in to
Hey, Neil first of all thank you for clarifying which has better roi in terms of seo and paid ads. My question is let's say I'm beginners want to learn how to run paid ads in real time practice. Is there any platform which gives us chance as a beginners to run paid ads so that we know whatever the campaign we run do better or not.
Logical & accurate video Neil! Thanks for sharing! 1 question though. I'm currently applying my SEO academic knowledge in the corporate world. Any recommendations for SEO related to Real Estate Companies? All what is required eventually is clicks, leads, leads and leads :D and actual converters; but the market is very competitive. I am definitely working on on page and off page SEO. Crawling, Indexing, Ranking parts of course.. But mainly the most beneficial parts are linkbuilding and longtail keywords (low difficulty/competition ; average Volume search). Content is really important too! I know SEO is a long term investment but any advice would be crucial and truly appreciated! (Definitely dedicating work for Paid Ads as well). Cheers Neil :)
You're absolutely right in the fact that SEO for real estate is all about lead generation. I think key for longterm is to just create content on real estate for buyers. I'd also look into creating some sort of tool like a mortgage calculator or something that would be valuable to searchers :)
Just need to strike a balance between both paid ads and SEO. For me, I for the SEO mainly because I running a personal blog with no income being generated, so it doesn't make sense for me to go for paid ads. I would just to focus on my content, etc. to improve my blog visibility.
great video Neil! i wondered, lets say i have a blog post regarding top wordpress plugins for a faster website and i use paid ads on it, but many people click the share button on that specific page, will that improve my website's seo and increse my rankings on the keywords from that page? thanks in advance and i love your content!
When you say your cost per conversion goes up, why is that? On Facebook it is because the pool is static-ish and the easy buyers are used up first, but Google is evidence of real time buyer motivation so why would they cost more and more?
Hi patel does the hosting affects seo? Like website speed Vps server is better than shared hosting My question is can we go with less cost shared hosting

Boom! Well said, Martin :)

So true! Glad you liked my video :)
Both options have their pros and cons, but the better one is SEO in the long term! Doing paid ads and SEO together is surely the best.
Well put, Harry!
SEO is not actually free. It comes at cost for writing articles and other maintainance. But ya reletively it's less expensive as compared to paid ads.
Paid ads can be better for customer acquisition in the short term. The can return multiple times to buy
@@christisgodd no doubt. The longevity of the leads may not be as much. But if properly targeted and optimised there's nothing like it.
There are some costs that go into it, yes :) But you're not paying to rank.

The thing is people just want to throw money at the problem...it may work in the short term but not if you want to build a sustainable business.
Agreed! The long game is the most important.

Exactly! They should work together hand in hand, but do what makes the most sense for your business :)
That's great video...Ok what you will suggest those people who are starting their journey with which one they should start first? paid ads or SEO?
Either one :) It's up to you!
Outstanding Information Sir.
Thanks so much!
I really don't see anything near the CTR on 30% on organic search term ... It's more like 5-10 % for position 1 i the organic results? is it just me?
SEO vs SMO (social media optimization)? Any data on this analysis? What's your take on incorporating SMO into the mix?
I don't have any data on that on hand, however I think both are important to do :) They work hand in hand.
great video Neil!

Yes that will definitely help with SEO :) That tells Google that your site is giving people what they need.
When you say your cost per conversion goes up, why is that? On Facebook it is because the pool is static-ish and the easy buyers are used up first, but Google is evidence of real time buyer motivation so why would they cost more and more?
Typically people aren't going on Facebook with purchase intent. They're going to browse posts and watch videos.
Smarty-pants! Thanks!
Hey Niel :) can you make a video on iOS 15 update ??
