Dude great video. I watched other folks trying to explain this fight and they came across confusing. You broke this down well. It got me past a spot where I was stuck on this boss in the lower levels. Sloppy but I got it done. Thank you.
I'm mid game, just reached red scrolls on masteries, 4th level grt Hall. Got to Griffian can wipe 2/3rds off it's HP then I'm destroyed. Have I overreached. Have 5 6 str champs. Seer,Coldhrt, mis created,Bad el and Elhain. Lots of goodies 5 str 16 legos loads Epic. Should I be tackling this beast? Lol
I don’t have the Account to test it, but I was thinking of using Champions with block buff debuff. The griffin throws it back an the team can’t summ up buffs to get them stripped. It’s either genius or total madness ... but would love to see it.
Good Info here. I'm glad I was on the right track of thought as I booked out Drexthar in lieu of this champions release. I do use him for the other three spider bosses in the game so I figured it wasn't a waste. Since everyone can eventually get Drexthar I'm glad he has some decent uses. My initial idea was to use Iron Braggo, drexthar, and three other healers, one of which was going to be Siphi. Slow burning him was my original idea. But since you did all the hard testing I'll use this comp as I just have to replace Rotos/Trunda. On normal difficulty I think you can just burn him down like everything else.
You can resist the turn meter decrease and stun. I use a fast alure and a doom priest to cleanse the stun off of alure. I also use salad for increase speed, anax for decrease acc and stagknight for decrease speed. No need for speed tuning! If alure gets stun doom priest will always cleanse before alure gets a turn.
running a resist TM champ is definitely a strategy for sure. Once you reach stage 90 like I was testing on the requirements will be rather high. I brought in an 800 res champ for fun just to play around with and i got debuffed twice due to RNG which will wipe you in a team like that for sure since you only have 1 chance per turn to make it happen with how fast the gryphon is. I do however like the idea of that strategy overall!
Playing it on normal not hard, but I ran my team with Scyl and the primary reason is the passive healing kept my team above 50% to keep griffin from getting extra stacks. maybe similar idea for the others? (there are better heros for this but I found I couldn't do it without a dedicated and secondary healer, scyl acted as my secondary.)

Used seer, sanguinia, grush, sarkonis and skullcrusher on auto on normal 50, cleared first time but sanguinia only one survived turn 111. No real high damage dealers so going to maybe try different, but khrusk waves are hard
Can't do griffin 90 on normal, it feels just like an insane gear check rather than any smart strategy. I did the earler ones on manual by swapping buffs debuffs based on his CDs but can't od it on this one. The buff makes him almost go twice and to me he now feels as basically "drop better speed gear with substats or get screwed".
are you certain that a rez below 50% health triggers the passive? i was assuming that dropping below 50% meant you had to be above 50% initially to trigger the passive
oh no the res of 50% hp wont trigger but you will be filling the gryphons turn meter so you will get debuffed as the champ being revived would have to full heal before the gryphon got a turn. its more a long the lines of champ res > your TM fills > gryphon TM fills above your team > he gets a turn and hits your 50% champion once, then twice since he will drop below the 50 he was revived with etc.
once i pass the waves all my heroes die.but 2 stay alive.And yes i finish that boss with alive only Tyrant Sethalia!!with not crazy stats.Tyrant ypical build for clan boss with 195speed and stalward and Sethalia 250speed tank
Oh so that was going wrong with Cardinal. The boss wasn't getting a turn before my champs, but its passive killed them. I thought it was the boss going before because of turn meter boost. Good to know.
Vrask is not a good option. Requires crit to heal and the crit also triggers a 20 percent TM fill. Very bad champion to use on this fight. Good advice though on how to manage the buff/debuff cycle.
Hey Murderinc, you really do NOT want to use Raglin on this guy. Her A1 speed boosts 2 random team members twice and the griffin gets all those turn meter boosts combined, he goes way too fast on hard. Good video, helped me set up my teams.
so they can survive long enough to explain a point. this is a mechanic guide. the fun in this game is figuring things out yourself with the rosters you have. It's the reason why most people cant replicate guides other content creators make with champions they do have because they are lacking the only relevant part of the video, the gear they are wearing.

I will just do what I always do on DT bosses, check top teams then copy one I think that can auto. Whaling got it's perks but to be honest it really takes too much time doing all the content in RAID these days, if I can auto macro DT,CB and dungeons then I can manual on arena where it's actually fun. But by the looks of it I may end up using scyl, siphy double rotos as he seems like a huge carry on this fight.
Murder Inc shows manual team with 5 legos. Stew takes this team, drop 3 legos , bring scyl the drakes -> auto 3 man team. Who is smarter content creator ?

That was great help. I am only at normal 90, but he can be a pain too. I used Marked to put up Block Debuffs and Sandlashed to extend it.

Used seer, sanguinia, grush, sarkonis and skullcrusher on auto on normal 50, cleared first time but sanguinia only one survived turn 111. No real high damage dealers so going to maybe try different, but khrusk waves are hard

or you can use 2 champ a rotos and a scyl of drake in regen set (of course at superior stage you can add a vrask/raglin a trunda /mountain king )

Grifon has no immunity vs cc exept speeds so there is easy way to win with cc chain
