LaToya seems like a lot of fun and I can totally see MJ being a little brother who was sometimes annoyed, enchanted and having fun with his sisters. I think people forget the Jacksons were just a bunch of siblings so you even hear it in the thriller demos with Randy and Janet yelling. I’m glad MJ got to talk about his musical process and inspiration. He also threw a lot of little shade about the set up. Are we making magic?

I was just thinking, Michael had 18 years work experience before he released Thriller. He started working at 5 and released Thriller at 23. It's a sacrifice that most people won't make, but if you want astronomical success, astronomical sacrifices have to be made.

I met Latoya, Mrs Jackson and Michael. I remember this interview. I had a dog named Mr Tibbs but we called him Tibbs. He lived for 18 yrs.

MJfangirl and Gadget Trish, thank you for this rare Michael Jackson and Latoya Jackson interview. It was a lot of fun. I can't really pickk a favorite part. It was fun and informative. I, too, didn't know LaToya wasnt interested in music until she was sixteen.
Janet's music beginning was when her mother told her father that she could sing so he heard her and Janet's music humble music career started from there. I do remember, from reading Janet's book that she wanted to go to school. Before her music career, she was a child actor. on tv shows; Different Strokes, Good Times and Fame.

Mjfangirl "Buffalo Bill" is a song Michael had in mind for the Jacksons Victory album. It wasn't finished on time so he planned to release it on Bad instead. After recording 4 or 5 different versions of it he still wasn't able to make his final decision on how he wanted the track to sound in time for the Bad album so the song was shelved.

this is such feel good energy 💜 he was clearly on cloud ☁️ 9 due to the success of ‘thriller’. he was comfortable in his natural environment, and optimistic about the future. he was always consistent in stating that his main sources of inspiration came from; children, animals, and nature/god. I 💜 how he would spontaneously burst into song. the ‘Peter pan’ one was supposed to be for a movie he was due to star in that year. shame it didn’t work out. it was the role he was born to play. he wouldn’t even have to act. he could have just been himself. would have been a great continuation of the scarecrow from ‘the wiz’.. hands down my favourite interview of him. it’s more like an observation/experience than anything else.

Liberian Girl was originally written and planned for The Jacksons' Victory Album in 1984, but, apparently wasn't completed in time for inclusion. Michael, not wanting to waste the song, made it part of his next solo album, Bad, instead, in 1987.

Latoya wanted to do the same thing as Janet I don't know if Janet wanted to go to Law school but I remember somewhere I think in her show Life with Latoya which is unfortunately on OWN that she wanted to go to Law school or at least college as well she might have said it in interviews I was watching a lot of Latoya videos lol so I can't remember. And she said that their father said no she was going to join the family business and I guess the same was said to Rebbie as well. It is in the intro of Life with Latoya where she is mocking her father saying that she is going to do the family business it was very funny.

I wonder if this was recorded before Motown 25...or after...amazed he stayed there for years before buying Neverland...after Thriller took off..he couldn't go anywhere alone
