Not to be TMI or a downer, but I've had a rough week after a string of rough weeks. Nothing has slowed down except for me, it seems. I'm watching this on my break at work, actually. I love your videos, I love hearing you talk about things and how you feel about them, it makes the world a little less lonely. As we got to the section where you painted in your sketchbook, I first thought, "oh, this is the Cheyenne Barton vlog song," and then as the piano came in I actually teared up. This is so peaceful and soothing. I could watch this for hours, I think. Thank you for making these videos, thank you for keeping me company in this dark time. I'm so proud of how you're growing and evolving. I hope the world is treating you well. ❤️

Cheyenne this was a lovely video. I think you mentioned it on Twitch once, but if you made shorter videos as opposed to longer ones so you could enjoy the process more I'd be totally down to watch them.
Also, I am interested in the stream setup as well! I'm trying to improve my stream right now and am curious about how you do the channel point redeem triggers. They are a lot of fun :)

I LOVE THAT DRESS. I'd never heard of a 'selkie' dress. I was picturing like a brown dress (like seal fur, but like in folklore) but that's just gorgeous. This was such a soothing video and I literally just put my chin on my arms and just grinned my way through it. Thanks for the video!

I made my daughter a poncho out of one of those rainbow yarn cakes & not only does she love it, but it will fit her for years and making it felt like speed-running a blanket. It was a granny square stitch except for the corners. Highly recommend it if you have munchkins to crochet for!

I'm loving the slightly niche crochet opinions!!! My crocheting journey has been kind of concurrent with yours in terms of when we started and experience level (you're slightly ahead) and i'm also at a point where i'm discovering a lot more about my tastes and what kind of projects I do and don't like and yarns I do and don't like to work with. Hate one row blanket repeats because they're boring as hell to me, and kinda grueling tbh, but I also hate super intricate patterns that require stitch counting because I hate to count, have horrible memory, and mostly crochet as a mindless way of relaxing and having to keep track of a stitch count gets stressful. I'm realizing my favourite projects are big enough to feel substantial and satisfying but not so big they take forever to work up (because i'm also slow), diverse in terms of stitch type or pattern creation (to keep my brain stimulated) but fundamentally very simple (to allow myself to relax and not stress). I also love aran and worsted weight yarn. It's interesting to me how specific crochet tastes are to each person, and how fast you can develop them. My personal tastes are completely asanine lol, but I thought i'd share them! I'm making a colour changing bag with a granny square bottom.

Started crocheting last December and the sweet granny baby blanket was the first blanket I ever made! Turns out I didn't know how to weave in ends properly so several of my magic circles popped open ... the blanket now belongs to my cat on his favorite napping chair

I’m so happy I found a fellow ADHD crocheter!!! I’m working on a single stitch throw blanket right now and I feeel you on it being so hard to stay excited about it! My blanket is striped so that keeps it exciting for me because I get to change colors Hahhaa but I’ve been working on for soooo long I have no clue when I’ll finish it because I always have a lot of projects I’m working on at once. I love TL Yarn! I just started crocheting at the start of the year and a couple weeks ago finished my first cardigan. I also finished making Boosheen that my boyfriend got me. I have a LOT to learn cause I want to learn how to change colors, make socks and gloves and hats and amigarumi. I don't understand the differences in yarn at all but I need to get more yarns for more projects.

It might be good to have a second channel to upload stream VODs to, especially if you're doing playthroughs of games. I love twitch but I tend to be a vod watcher in general bc life and watching vods through youtube is generally easier to keep track of and there's no automatic deletion after a certain date. I'm sure you've considered it already but just wanted to shout into the void the suggestion. Loved the vlog and hopefully I can swing by your stream.
i do keep all my VODs as highlights, so they'll always be available on my Twitch! They're not going anywhere~ but if enough people express interest, then maybe I can make a second channel specifically for full playthrough VODs!

I'm finding knitting so difficult with undiagnoised adhd (getting an assessment in like less than 2 weeks now, I just wanna preface that I'm doing something about it), because I find it so difficult to stay focused. I'm currently knitting a blanket that is very very fine, it's 4ply but it's so freaking fine. And it's like over 200 stitches and the needles are like 2.25mm, it's so finicky.
Hope your assessment goes well and opens up opportunities for support 💛 (from an autistic female who knows how much it means to get a diagnosis)

This video was very lovely and i was very pleased at the soup footage. I think it'd be super neat for a streamer/desk tour thingy! Splitting it into two parts does sound very logical as well, i know it'll be a lot to cover so it's definitely no rush on your part. Same with these videos too, as viewers who appreciate your vlogs I think we can wait as long as we need to in order for you to post content you enjoy and are comfortable with. Plus if people miss your videos, your streams are just as great if not better since there's a long and real time interaction with the lovely little community you have ^^ Even if you felt the need to take a break from all of it, that'd still be valid and people who truly enjoy your content and you as a person would support putting your well being first. So thanks for taking time and energy to always put out such lovely stuff to watch, and I wish you a very merry creating!

hi cheyenne! have you ever talked about community building and content moderation? i find the way you create space and cultivate a community on different social media platforms very interesting (i'm also thankful for them!). honestly i didn't know how hostile and toxic twitch can be until i watched other streamers. it truly shattered my dream of becoming a twitch streamer 💔
i've honestly gotten super lucky with how kind everyone has been to me on twitch -- whenever trolls find their way into chat, i just immediately block them. my mod team is made up of people that have been following my content for a long time, so i know that their values align with mine and i trust them with keeping chat/the community in check. @/queerlybee on twitter is a good friend of mine and they have loads of incredible resources for cultivating a safe space on twitch and beating hate raids, etc. do check them out !!! i don't want anyone to shatter your dream of becoming a streamer :(
