i just want to say thank you for being so open in your journey with mental health. as someone who experiences a lot of similar mental health struggles (currently i’m in the process of getting diagnosed with - possibly - adhd) it’s nice to see i’m not the only one! makes me feel a lot less like it’s all in my head :)

Cheyenne I love your videos, everytime I get a notification it's like a little treat! I don't live all that far from Seattle and I know some people think it's weird to say stuff like this but I wish we could be friends!! I absolutely loved the art in the video, particularly that first spread in your sketchbook and the final illustration! You're really coming into your style and I love watching it happen. ALSO good luck with the adderall, it can be really tough get the right balance of enough medication to improve your ability to be a functioning human being versus too much medication making your anxiety spiral out of control- that's why I stopped taking it, it made more anxious than it did help me be functional. Also sugar and caffeine will hit you way harder when you're taking adderall so watch out for that. Hope you're having a good day, take care!
I know this probably sounds dumb, but seeing your little Finn canvas on the wall makes me so happy. Even just seeing a little glimpse of him existing in your world, too. That was such a darling show for me, and I love it. I am so happy I own the whole series now. It’s weird how something that seems like it should be so insignificant, like a tv show, can bring so much comfort and joy when someone like me just thinks about it. Hey Chey! I'm usually a lurker and don't really interact but I am so happy and really appreciate that you talk about your mental health and the progress of looking for treatment. Recently I started seriously looking for help and got diagnosed with ADHD too!
Started taking meds for it and that bit where you were like "Oh this is just a thing I have to do" and then you just do it, WAS SUPER RELATABLE!! like people just live like that??

We ALL have this aspect to our being, good or bad, and it is only our global culture that dictates we not share our individual valid experiences with others. I take Lamotrigine and Fluoxetine. I treat a very common disease. I am not unusual or special. Talking about it is what is not common. Kudos to your maturity. I was not so open at your age. Throwing yah some stranger love. S.

I'm late to the comment party, but I just wanted to say that I love your videos & your artwork. I'm especially appreciative that your speaking openly about your ADHD journey. Just last week I was diagnosed, although I've known for a couple years, but I think the pandemic amplified it, so I made myself go see a Dr. Today is my third day of taking adderall and day 1 was crazy. Like is this what normal feels like?! I've been missing out. I did more in a day than I have all month. Making decisions, prioritizing, has been easier as well. Looking forward to hearing more about your journey but of course don't ever feel pressured to share too much with us :)
just got my second dose of moderna and have been falling in and out of sleep all day... seeing this was like a little kiss for my groggy brain. good as always! ^_^

Congrats on starting your new medication! It's definitely a big step. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I understand that it is a PROCESS to get a diagnosis and to then figure out medication options. I'm also just gonna float an idea ... I of course can't speak to your experiences and only know you from your vlogs but I want to also put it out there that your videos reflect some traits from ADHD's sister neurodivergency: autism. I'm autistic myself and I see some of the wonderful traits of it reflected in your videos: a desire for routine or organization, enjoying quiet environments and making home "nests" of comfort and familiarity, a deep sense of justice and care for others, and a love of animals. It's a common comorbidity of ADHD. Your videos are lovely and I hope this wasn't presumptuous of me to comment.

I've been having a really rough time lately with my depression and chronic pain both flaring up, plus a little bit of self esteem issues sprinkled on top, and this video just made things feel a whole lot better. Of course I'm still depressed and in pain and feeling bad about myself, but for half an hour while watching this I actually smiled for the first time in weeks.
