I bought mine just over a year ago and use it to make professional film, documentary and music videos. I like it. I see lots of people trying to buy the latest cameras for thousands and thousands and when they see mine they always say, even though it's 10 years old, it still looks good and you can't ell much that it's an older camera. I always think if you are making a good living in the industry, then sure, you shouldn't really buy something like this, but if you're on a budget and not making money from it as a FT job, then this is great!
Hi, does it have a clean SDI output port for streaming? So it can only be charged when the device is turned off? Meaning you can't use the camera while it is plugged in?
Yes you can charge it only when you turn it off. On the power switch, it's says (CHG) on top of the OFF side of the switch. Meaning you can only charge it when the camera is off.
Hi,just a small query,can the SD cards be removed from the AX and be read by a Windows 10 laptop OK ,have'nt seen anyone mention this,and the Sony manual refers to connecting by USB to get movies off the camcorder.Good vid Dad ,thanks 👌
This was such a long time ago, but if I remember correctly, you can remove the SD cards and have it read by a computer. I use a Mac, so I'm not sure if it will work with Win10.
Hi, I just got one of these donated from my one of my family members. It works great in 1080i at 60fps but I have a problem with my Sony AX2000 camera not doing 1080p at 30fps I can see the thumbnail of the video in the visual index view but it wont show anything except a white screen. Is there any solutions to this problem?

It's a great camera but I have run into a problem, maybe you can help. when we record anything over 12:47 it cuts it up & separates the video. It's driving me kinda nuts as it loses a second inbetween every time it does it. Do you know if this might be a setting or is it just how it is.
It might be just how it is. In some of my other cameras, it will stop recording at a certain time frame because the camera might get overheated or the camera can't write as fast as it is reading to your memory card. I have a DSLR that only can record for about 5 mins. I've never tried recording longer clips on this camera, and I don't have the camera anymore. I hope this helps or at least points you in the right direction. You might want to check the speed of your SD card. Some write faster than others. Here's one that writes fast: amzn.to/2THk2Uy ... Notice on the one in the link at the top left in the picture it says "95 MB/s" ... that's the write speed. The higher the faster it can write. Might wanna check the ones that you are using.
_It is because of FAT32 system on SD cards. Download Sony Content Manager software for this camera and import videos with that software. It will combine separated clips into one without loosing that 8 frames of sound
