My grandfather served in Hue with the 1st Marine division. He never really talked much about his tours in Vietnam but I figured out why when we were watching a documentary together. My grandfather and I have a shared love of history and we were watching this documentary on the History Channel called 1968. When they started talking about Vietnam, my grandfather went quiet and we watched in silence. During the segment, the showed a clip of Walter Cronkite reporting the news and across the street was a group of marines taking cover behind a wall. My grandfather points at the tv and says "third one from the left, that's me". It was unreal to see a part of my family in a part of history but watching all of those clips of wounded GIs being dragged to safety and the chaos of urban combat made me understand why my grandfather doesn't talk about the war after Tet.

I bought the ARVN Ranger and WOW! The helmet is awesome. If you take of the helmet he has a tic-tac toe scar on his head. I love the 2 canteens! Amazing job Lando as always!
