You are the first person I ever seen beside me that noticed that scene in sleepless in seattle where she's watching them on the beach is extremely weird
It's cool to see such a modern review of a classic film. Such an entertaining and underrated movie, and an excellent and widely applicable review! And the intro is 🔥🔥
I start to think that it really doesn't matter what topic you pick for your videos, I'll enjoy listening to your writing and opinion nonetheless. Great video once again!
Man, I love your Souls content, but I love this shit, too 🖤 Are you familiar with the Coen bros version of True Grit? I’ve been obsessed with it lately. Beautiful tribute to the original that manages to elevate the material in most ways. Would love to see a video on that someday 😏
I watched both versions of True Grit back when the Coens' version came out, but I don't remember having a very strong opinion about either of them. Perhaps it's time to revisit. Haven't seen Legion/Exorcist III, but it's on my 'to watch' list. Thanks for the nice comments.
@@TheGemsbokJust now seeing your response. Thanks for taking the time. It hurts my heart that these vids don’t get views like your others. The quality of this content is so high, it makes me feel this platform doesn’t deserve you
@@davinsosa1438 That's a very kind remark, thank you. It means a lot to me, as I intended to make many more videos this year but was prevented when some serious health problems struck me in late February. After a few extremely difficult months, I finally started showing signs of recovery in early June. I've been slowly improving since then, and I hope to resume work on new videos in the next couple months. Anyway, all that just to say that it's great timing to hear that kind of positivity about my work. Thanks again.
Great video. It's a bummer you seem to be taking a break or stopped making videos altogether. Though I secretly hope you are working on a Philosophical Analysis of Silent Hill 2. Thought that would be a nice game to tackle and one you would enjoy too. With the release of the remake recently it would also bring traction to your channel. One can hope!
Oh, I WISH I had simply stopped or was just taking a break. The sad reality is that some very serious health issues prevented me from making videos for most of this year. The good news, though, is that I've finally recovered enough to (very slowly) resume production on a new game video. I hope to publish it by the end of the year. It's not about Silent Hill, though.
@@TheGemsbok I am very sorry to hear you had health issues. We all have to get through some tough times like that in our lives eventually, I hope it didn't weigh too much on your mental health as well and you can just move on without long term consequences. I am glad to hear you are doing better now! Your channel is very unique and insightful among the admittedly very mediocre and surface level analysis videos and essays RUclips has to offer nowadays. Looking forward to any content you are planning to release in the future! PS: If by chance you haven't played Silent Hill 2 yet (original or remake) I highly advise as it's my favourite game that tackles serious psychological trauma and mental health issues among other heavy topics that might interest you, even if you don't make a video on it.
I only heard about this film a year ago from TRAILERS FROM HELL, and found a full length copy of it from the web. But I haven't ever been able sit through the whole thing. The films narrative structure makes its a tough slog, even though I don't "hate it" (its the type of movie that right in my wheelhouse as I find this era of history (early 18th century to late 19th century) fascinating. But it feels so all over place and experimental in a half-assed way its like Im watching something that was left unfinished and abandoned. Still, I won't say it "sucks". Thank you for this analysis, as it will help as I give it one more try.
Great Wurk with this thing that will Shirley appeal to the mASSes. The night they drove old dixie DOWN to where I HAVE NO IDEA. You so Amish brovalone cheese.

You could tell me Daniel is any age from 25 to 125 and I would believe you.

That's a very kind sentiment. Thank you!
Love your writing and style, doesn’t matter the topic, you have me interested.
"Is that seam perfect?"
"Seams perfect."
"And ZA WARUDO?!?!"
😅😅
I thought I was the only one who loves this movie! Thank you for this lovely, thoughtful presentation!
Will check it out, you have me sold!

William Peter Blatty’s Excorcist III is also great 🙊

These are weird antelopes, ripoff of oryx.😐
Gemsbok _are_ one of the 4 species of oryx!
