I guess it's different for everyone. Most of my videos don't have topic, I just talk about my life and how a positive mindset can change your life. I started my channel by just making videos on my phone, and I still do that, and that is my advice, just start and learn as you go.❤

I've yet to come up with some exciting titles for my videos, and think with the next video I'm going to stick with one thumbnail, instead of using three in the test and compare. Think the test and compare perhaps gives better results if there are more views to analyse.

I have a channel also, activated it for uploading just random videos about my dog about a year ago, and weirdly enough I got to 1,000 subs lately.
Now thinking about starting another channel and expandind the already existing channel. You are doing a lot of things right, so definitely keeping an eye on what you do and trying to learn as I stumble forward 👍
I might be trying to schedule a consultation with you some day in the quite near future, now I am too busy with trying to learn affiliate marketing, so as soon as that thing is set up and running, I think I will be concentrating more on YT again.

Question: just today (Oct. 1) I’ve had videos pop up that can’t be skipped-on numerous channels. Sometimes it’s a couple of videos amounting to 2-5 minutes, but on one channel, there was 1 ad about 2 minutes long, followed by another that was 17 minutes long!! Most people can’t invest that kind of time; even 5 minutes is a pain to sit through, though I try to do so bc I do t want to hurt small channels. I really think this new approach will hurt YT small channels, so I’m rethinking even starting. Any thoughts?

Thank you so much for sharing this info. I do have a question, many people say make sure the key words and tags are ranked even for your channel keywords to help your channel and videos be ranked higher. it’s been said also to do keyword research. Is this true?
I never took my YT channel seriously, or posted anything consistently to attempt monetization. I started the channel in 2008, so it's super old, but only had like 200 subs as of about 3 weeks ago. I used google ads just to test how effective something like $8 per day for a week would be. With only 1 video (the creepy doll one) I jumped to over 3,000 subs and 450 hours of watch time. Is it worth it just to continue putting out similar videos to that, and paying the ads until I get monetized, or are these people not going to watch my future videos anyway when I turn the ads off? I was shocked how fast it worked.

The First Point many RUclipsrs have debated in the past, which is Focusing your RUclips Channel to cater to your Audience. This is great to a point, but the issue I am talking about is Directing your Content based on your Current Subscriber Base. Or in Short just creating Content for Views and Subs, instead of actually being Creative.
This is what MR. Beast does, and a few other RUclipsrs who ARE Huge, because that's all they have perfected is how to get someone to Click on their Video and Subscribe. And to ME it looks extreemly Cheap, and Korny, it leans towards utter Stupidity, bcause if you follow the Trends it leads to a World resembling Idiocracy. (The Movie)
So I do not agree with the idea of making your Videos just to get Clicks and Subs, I think it is better to Create Content you are sincerly Passionate about, then let your Audience find you. Then you are buidling a more lasting relationship, because you have to Love what you are doing, if you don't Love it, you're going to Quit. So i don't think chasing Views and Subs is the way to go. But you are Correct in saying we should be keeping our Audience in mind, but I don't think we should allow our Audience to Shape our Channel.
One point about SEO that I want to ask you, is that you mentioned Narrowing Down the Keywords towards the end of this Video, I wanted to know, does that actually negatively affect the Algorithm? Because IF SO, this is kind of a Big deal, because I used to do SEO in Web Development and I had the Understanding that More was Better. The More Keywords you stick in there the Better, because it would reach more People. I know we don't want to put things in there that are not Related cause then we are just Spamming. But if it Relates even remotely, I thought we should put it in there to reach a Broader Base of people? If this is incorrect, this could be one of my Mistakes that I am making.
