Hi...Hierarchy...god damn!😂 you have improved so much in your recent videos btw, thanks for helping all of us in the revit community👌🏻 Cheers from Mexico
You can know the category of an object by selecting it and looking in the drop-down beneath the title in the properties. In the case of the refrigerator is Specialty Equipment.
Thank you for all Revit tutorials lessens I was wondering if I could reach out and ask if you would have a Revit online classes! if so please tell me how can register!! thanks
Hi, I have a question. What is the difference between changing the line settings of dimensions and lines in override (vg) rather than changing through edit>properties? If we change the settings in over ride does it changed in other plan or sections as well? Thank you
Hey, i just started learning revit... but is it posible to change graphics and fonts of sections, grid lines and annotates... i hate how they look by default svaka čast, imaš najbolje tutoriale za revit na youtubu, mnogo sam se naučijo... poz iz Ljubljane
Gavroxofficial You can but you need to know how to use the family editor. Select the element you want to edit and take note of the name, sometimes a part of the element can be changed separately, like the grid head, in that case the name is inside the type properties of the object. Then in the Project Browser look for that family (the grid head and section head are in annotation symbols). Right click the family and select edit. This opens the family editor, make the changes you want and save it with the same name or a different one (your call). Click load into project. Now when you select the element you'll have another family to change it to. This is just the general idea to point you in the right direction. I hope it helps.
I do pretty much the same thing, I only go to the project menu “side bar with names of names of levels ext.” and search for family, under family you will find annotations, there you will find all the different default annotations like “section head, elevation head,”Also recommend doing this in a template file so its pre-loaded to every project.
Hello as always a good tutorial, but I have a question for you. What about line weights in composite walls? I think that the thick lines must be on the load bearing elements only, not on the sheeting or thermal insulation?
Soulution: forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/layer-function-line-weight/td-p/6708879 You can set the line thickness from each structure function trough Visability/graphic overides --> overide host layers --> set line weight for the function (structure, substrate etc)
For the chairs it would be better to create a 2d view with symbolic lines and define the visibility per view inside the family but I understand this is quicker and easier.
I'm new to Revit. How do you change the fill/hatch colour of a wall. When I go to "Edit Type", "Graphics" "Coarse Scale Fill Colour" and change it there nothing happens. What am I missing.
Coarse scale fill colour graphics only work if the detail level is set to 'Coarse'. You can find this setting at the bottom of the screen next to the view scale. These settings (and more) can also be found by hitting 'GD' on the keyboard. Best practice would be to customize the wall structure and/or use (view)filters eventually, but don't worry you'll get there ;). Good luck!
Awesome! Hey my friend. Just a question: does Revit have any option to get 2 shades of halftones? Let’s say I want a dark grey to the stairs but light grey to furniture.
I don't know if you found the answer if not So in properties go to edit type click structure edit. Click insert open view form the bottom to see what's changing then divide it into parts you need. The parts you divide they will have a different option of material. or if you just need a different material on any face in modify there is paint face tool which can add different material on faces. Pattern and material both can be different by insert option.
Hi, thanks for the tutorial, it helps a lot. I have a problem here and i'm hoping you can help me. I changed the cut wall line weight at "Visibility/Graphic", it didn't change at view, but it changed when I printed it, then I went to "Object Styles" to changed it, it didn't change at view either, then I went to "Visibility/Graphic in View" to change the cut line weight, it didn't changed, so i don't know where went wrong.
@@editmantor5125 Level of Development (LOD) explicitly describes what information about building elements should be present in a building model on different times during the design and execution process. LOD for building components consists of: Level of Reliability (LOR), which describes the reliability of information provided for the geometry of the building section and associated property data. Level of Geometry (LOG), which describes the geometric representation of the building part and the scope of included components. Level of Information (LOI) that describes associated property data linked to building elements either embedded, linked, or otherwise related. A given LOD level thus indicates both the level of the geometric representation, the property data and their reliability. The required level at each phase may vary from country to country
Now I have a question to all revit users: I encountered some so called 'smart' North arrow annotation symbols. 'Smart' means that I need to put in the value of deviation of project North and true North, into the arrow. Nothing smart about it. Wrong input means wrong arrow. Why make such a 'smart' annotation family while the deviations are set by the project GPS and deviation? The compass is at hand, by sunpath. Just turn a static North arrow in the proper direction. 'Smart' North symbols are like the old days drawing board. No effect on the sun settings, independant of the project deveation. What is the purpose of making such families?

Gracias por el tutorial son muy importantes para nosotros que sabemos un poco más que lo básico

Yeah I agree, when you are reusing the same Families a lot, doing something like what you have described is a good idea.
Cool thanks
How do you show wall layers in plan view? My wall is just plain
hahaha "hierarchy! goddamn..." that's so cute
Hi! How can I place a white colored floor plan in a 3D perspective render using photoshop? Thanks!
Can u change color of a section?

How to add insulation section in floor plan
Hi! I love your tutorial! A question, are the floors in the bathrooms and the terrace a background or textures? Thanks!
Awesome! Hey my friend. Just a question: does Revit have any option to get 2 shades of halftones? Let’s say I want a dark grey to the stairs but light grey to furniture.
Do you plot these floor plans out in greyscale? What's the point of making certain parts of the drawing coloured?
Hey man just a small doubt! Can we copy visibility graphics to other floor plans ? Changing VG for every plans is so ughhh!!
Yup, make templet is the key
Hi! Thanks for your tutorials! How can I add 2 patterns to the wall cut? I would like to have a solid fill and a pattern on top of it.
I don't know if you found the answer if not

You can do it in Revit 2019 and newer.

what is the meaning of LOD ? PLS TELL ME
Level of development 🙂
