It was terrible. Left you wanting more. There was little horror, little gore. This movie just felt so unnecessary. So many dumb moves, slow. I love horror movies, etc. this was the worst movie of the year for me. It was just like the original one just slightly tweaked. My whole theater sighed and walked out feeling used. 😒 2/5 for me. 👎🏻
The critic is pretty low rn but I never agree with critics on horror films. They seem to take them either too seriously or just judge every little minor thing they do wrong and they just very rarely seem to like them in general. It’s kinda annoying. Hopefully it goes up, all these critics went to the film already not excited and thinking it would be bad.

She doesn’t need to watch the original one, this new one is called chapter 1 for a reason. It has nothing to do with the two other films at all. It’s a stand alone movie

I've seen the first one and loved it. Question... I did not see the second one... I know this is a prequel... should I bring my daughter to see this one first and wait for chapter 2 & 3 or see the original one and then these 3 or Og, second one and then these three? Thanks!
This isn’t a prequel it’s a remake, and no where near in the same league as the original. I would watch the original 2 first

This movie is not as bad that people are making it out to be
one thing about a slasher horror film is that you never listen to the hounds of negative critics and you form your opinion. both the 2008 strangers and prey at night got awful critic reviews so it’s not surprising that chapter 1 is getting the same feedback. The slasher genre is much more for the general audience who just want to have a good time watching a horror movie without thinking on such a critical level. I know im going to have a blast watching it tomorrow.

The 2008 RT score wasn’t that bad though, and was praised by horror critics. This one is at like 13% lol. I still wanted to see it for myself and boy was it disappointing, it was a frustrating annoying mess, my kids and I were facepalming through the entire movie.
If this fox doing the review was the main character then I would consider seeing this movie lol

I’ve seen lots of her reviews and there are definitely movies that she didn’t like. I can’t remember which ones but she does not like every single movie. The ones she does like though, that is just her opinion and I respect her opinion, even if she likes something that I sometimes don’t like. That’s okay, we just need to all respect each other’s opinions
Chapter 2 and 3 gonna focus on the characters backstories
Everyone is saying this a dog crap. Slow as hell and right when something happens it cuts to something else boring. Idk your the on it one saying it’s good.

Yes it’s a Soft reboot , the producer said it’s more of a continuation of the 2018 film.
