I agree we should have seen his funeral if he meant that much to her. It would have given us more screen time of him. I think those two actors have such great chemistry. Someone should fo a movie starring the teo of them as a couple.
I love Rufus Sewell,HE is an A LIST actor, I was hoping in the first series she would marry him,they had serious chemistry,THIS superb acting was heart wrenching. BRAVA Rufus,nobody does it better.
It would be wrong to say I love him, since I saw very few of him, but I loved him in Victoria. He became my favorite character, even if the show was about Victoria. I wanted her to marry him, as well, but I knew that couldn't be, cause you know, history. I agree they had chemistry and that the acting was heart wrenching. I couldn't imagine a different Lord M now.

Screw historical accuracy, these two are gold dust and fictionslly have that relationship of friendship, counsel, support, life teacher that only comes along very rarely... Rufus Sewell and Jenna Coleman are a fantastic pairing.. And Rufus says everything with his eyes.. While saying nothing... Sigh.. He is just superb...
and another part 😍 girl, this is so emotional! i love how you capture their relationship! and these scenes from season one, i broke when i saw it, this is so sad and so beautiful i feel like vidding these two now xd

I wanted it to look like this happened in the show. However, their last scene was so heartbreaking, how they talked about what they would do in the future, while knowing that none of those things would ever happen again. I am dead."..... I totally agree with this.... I think that Lord M should have deserved this in the series..... but I could see the paralellism in the scene when she returns to palace and finds her beloved pet Dash lying on the floor, dead.... and what Victoria says at that moment.... as if she was talking about Lord M's death.
It's a show, not a documentary. Get over yourselves. And people are allowed to ship what they want, from canon to au to crossovers. This is my last reply on the matter. Have nice holidays!

You know, I think he confessed without the words 'I love you'. Even after her confession when she told her she cannot give her heart to him, you can hear the pain in his voice, because that's what he has to tell her. Later on when they dance and he tells her about Elizabeth and Lester and Victoria says 'Lester was her companion', Lord M tells her that he and the queen couldn't be together 'no matter their inclination'. I think that's very subtle but obvious and following how Victoria looks at him after, she understood what he meant. And I could give more examples but it's already a long reply 😅
I'm 38 years old but I have to admit He's the only person who makes me Cry like a baby . I swear by the God who creates me I'm writing this comment and my tears on my hands

I don't really see this relationship as being romantic. Yeah it was in the beginning but towards the end I saw it as beginning a very strong friendship.
I think it's both. It's very clear they had feelings for each other but there couldn't be anything between them. 'I think the queen understood that they were not in a position to marry. Whatever their inclination" Then she married Albert and while she may ran out of romantic love for him she still cared deeply for Lord M. Lord M loved her till his last day but respected her love for Albert, listened to her and continued to give her advice and just be there for her, be her friend
In real life Victoria didn't look as beautiful as Jenna and other stuff and probably (I don't know) Albert wasn't that annoying. . I ship them in the snow only.
Oh trust me, the real Albert WAS that annoying. Intrinsically opposed to any levity, fun or humor, determined to shape his family and country after a joyless, prudish ideal. He was earnest and hardworking and dedicated, but he sucked the life and color out of everything and everyone around him. Ofc at that point Victoria was so subservient to him she encouraged his behavior and thinking.
I admit I haven't read that much about them, but I know that she outlived him (she had the longest reign before Elizabeth) and suffered a lot after his death. I heard she loved him even more than her children. Albert in the show always annoyed me so much so if he really was like that then I can at least not feel bad for disliking him.
