I am just blown away by this! My entire life, I've wanted to get in to tattooing. And at my age, I decided about a year ago that it is now or never. But its so hard to come across real information and even harder to get real instruction. Most of the artists I've come in contact are not willing to share any advice or tips in how to get started. I've even booked appointments to get work done by several different artists just to observe and study their methods and try to make conversion about it. And now, HERE IT IS! The most in-depth and thorough instruction I could have only dreamed of! Its like being back in college, only I actually WANT to be in class!

That reminds me, a very religious woman said I shouldn't be tattooing, and God doesn't like it. I told her people were getting tattoos before the bible was written. She shut up after that.

Wow! I finally started this lesson today. Boy did I suck at first but I persisted. I tattooed my fake skin for almost two hours. Finally my lines started to get straight, the up and down ones were far easier than the side to side ones. I still need more practice on this so my plan is to do it again tomorrow. I’ve already got the stencil on my fake skin for tomorrow s session. Thank you Ben, I know how valuable this information is and I’m grateful for you for sharing it. Aloha from Hawaii!

It’s been my dream to be a tattoo artist as a kid, I used to be a apprentice at a tattoo shop, but I was called racist slurs, got assaulted and I only ever cleaned the shop. I learn to keep things clean and sanitary for clients, learning the auto clave as well. Two of my good artist friends told me to pick up that machine anyways, so I got one for myself. Thank you for these videos, this is making me feel like my dream will never die.
Very good at putting technique into perspective, just from the first two videos my line work has tremendously changed for the better. Tattoo seems more achievable rather than a guessing game. Thank you

These are genuinely fantastic. Learning to tattoo after working in other art forms for over 10 years, having to waste a year basically cleaning a shop and learning nothing was a demoralising prospect. These are unbelievably detailed and helpful. Thanks very much for the information, quality video and just being willing to share technical specifics.
Just doing this now and I must say its harder than it looks, I can drop a good line in (even if I say so myself) but using this method which makes sense changes my line quality, so I will have to practice this until I am happy with the results, I am going to follow all the vids and see what happens. Thanks so much for posting these up as I find no matter how much you think you know, you can always learn more.

Also would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for your 30days I was an apprentice and got taught nothing except to draw up stencil this was perfect the fundamentals! Just want I needed and when I needed it currently self-employed lone parent of 2 however my choose path choice isn't pannig out to well at the moment to cold to workout aswell for a good portion of the year So a revisit too Tatting Is where I am at I've watched all 30 vids and now working though the other you've post still got a long way to go but am humbled enough to say I am still early stages but hopeful enough now with your guidance to say maybe I can I can turn this into a choose profession one day and provide of my kids more how I would like too so with this being said Thank You again Ben you are a legend!! :)

I’ve been into tattooing on and off for years but I’ve not done any in a few years and I just wish I had these tutorials back when I first gave it a go, the practice skins I had back then was near to useless and it was like the only way to pick it up was in real skin, I’ve ordered some more practice skins and going to give these exercises a go, I think the skins I’ve ordered are the same as yours so I might be able to use them to learn this time, they look a lot more rubbery and stretchy compared to the old ones I had

I learn to keep things clean and sanitary for clients, learning the auto clave as well. Two of my good artist friends told me to pick up that machine anyways, so I got one for myself. Just doing this now and I must say its harder than it looks, I can drop a good line in (even if I say so myself) but using this method which makes sense changes my line quality, so I will have to practice this until I am happy with the results, I am going to follow all the vids and see what happens. Also would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for your 30days I was an apprentice and got taught nothing except to draw up stencil this was perfect the fundamentals! Just want I needed and when I needed it currently self-employed lone parent of 2 however my choose path choice isn't pannig out to well at the moment to cold to workout aswell for a good portion of the year So a revisit too Tatting Is where I am at I've watched all 30 vids and now working though the other you've post still got a long way to go but am humbled enough to say I am still early stages but hopeful enough now with your guidance to say maybe I can I can turn this into a choose profession one day and provide of my kids more how I would like too so with this being said Thank You again Ben you are a legend!! :)

I’ve been into tattooing on and off for years but I’ve not done any in a few years and I just wish I had these tutorials back when I first gave it a go, the practice skins I had back then was near to useless and it was like the only way to pick it up was in real skin, I’ve ordered some more practice skins and going to give these exercises a go, I think the skins I’ve ordered are the same as yours so I might be able to use them to learn this time, they look a lot more rubbery and stretchy compared to the old ones I had

I now see its all about sticking with it and I do pretty good work so I am told and my client list is ever increasing, But I feel my line work needs improvement, and a few other areas, I see where I need to do better and I can not thank you enough for what you are doing here.
