This is my favorite red ink of this advent calendar. Thanks Matthew for doing these daily openings and swatches. They're a lot of work to film and edit and I really appreciate having a new video to "open" every day 😊
LOVE THIS INK!!! So nice. And very, very close to Red Dragon! Also very close to Colorverse Rocket City. Love all three! I'd love to see Rocket City next to Red Dragon and this ink.
Oh that's lovely, esp with the bronze sheen. I have a bottle of Theif's Red from KWZ and I struggle to use it so I'm not the biggest red fan. It does look nice though.
I love the base color of this ink, even if I'm not a huge warm color fan, what kinda took me out of it was the sheen. Its the same reason why I haven't picked up Diamine Red Dragon. I'm just not a fan of the goldy sheen. But like I said the base color is a beauty.
I like the base color, too. The sheen is only an issue when swatching, and there it's pretty minor... I didn't see any sheen when writing, for what it's worth.
I love this one so much! I hadn't compared it yet to Red Dragon, which is/was my favorite red, so I suppose it's not surprising I loved this one. At least I'm consistent. 😅 Still loving these videos. :)
I think Red Horizon's my favorite - probably because it reminds me of Red Dragon and Romania Red which are a couple of my favorite reds. Wow that's a lot of "red" in one sentence! 😄
I agree... I think that Romanian red is probably my favorite of the darker reds, so I like this one, too... although I'm a little surprised that Colorverse hasn't branched out any more with their colors, but I do like what we're getting.
Okay, this red is gorgeous, but ... I'm missing the other colors in the rainbow! I also thought this would be more of an orange/brown/red - something closer to Fireside Snug (? Fireside Chat?) from 2023 Inkvent.
Feels like Colorverse aren't being very adventurous with these advent inks. And I'd expect a Mars-y red to be more orange than this, which looks more like a cherry red. Personally, I like this less than either Supergiant or Rosette Nebula (but I don't own the calendar so I've only got your videos to go on). :)
It's true... Colorverse seems to be sticking to a pretty limited palette with this calendar. I like the color, but I do already have big bottles of similar colors. Still, a very usable color!
Uhmmm, Colorverse, did you forget the rest of the color wheel? Btw, Matthew, you'll probably see the error before you see this message, but you might want to change the "Day 8" to Day 9. ;-) Thanks for another beautiful video

When I first swatched it, my immediate thought was.. blood. I love this red.

Supergiant is so far my choice. It is not as dark as the other two but very vibrant.
Day 9 reminds me of Diamine Crimson.

While I did love this ink, I do hope we’ll get a green or something, as I feel like we’ve had a lot or reds and greys so far!

Yes, I would have expected a more Martian orange/brown type of red... but I do like this color 🙂
