I had to adjust mine a bit more to find the sweet spot after having adjusted it too high. It's a good idea to bring your 10mm wrench 🔧 along with you and a small pair of pliers to hold the rod while adjusting the two nuts (i put a rubber glove around the rod before applying the pliers as not to scratch the paint off it and it helps hold it tighter to prevent spinning while locking the nuts top and bottom). Hope this info is useful.
Don’t apologize a lot of people don’t know it’s just that simple and definitely don’t take heed to anybody’s bashing of your video. It’s your video not theirs. Be safe, stay upright.
Good video. Almost every motorbike I have owned needed levers etc adjusted to suit me. 2020 CB500x also I adjusted rear brake pedal higher. Worth spending some time to make things more comfortable.

Hell yeah man. This specific bike is very easy to adjust a few things. Dude how do u use that side stand with ur foot extender on? My centre stand restricted the foot stand from coming up completely
I have the T Rex Racing adjustmentable ceter stand. I had to adjust it to a length that accommodated my after market exhaust. It must have been the inadvertent sweet spot for the kickstand as well.
Alright, I'll be doing the, "Deep Dive" here...... thanks for the kind response last night, it's given me a redirect thru your under-rated content. I do like what I'm seeing so TY again. Chat soon, be safe
@user-dv7hb2sc9m Thanks. Much appreciated. From your response on the CB500X being able to handle highways. I think your doing great research. And if your not wanting to go up in CC's and price then the Honda CB500X/NX500 is a very sound choice. And good point on the torque & throttle snatch theory. Makes sense. Thanks for the kind comments as well. I think RUclips is a great platform for sharing knowledge with one another.
You can also adjust it at the very top of the shifter assembly where the lever attaches to the shaft that comes out of the transmission. It only requires a single 10mm wrench and you can keep the length of the connecting rod short and stout while adjusting the height to your liking.
Your welcome Pete 🙂! I messed up and way over adjusted mine at first so my shift got super sloppy. You'll have to find the sweet spot for you. But what a nice difference not having to contort ones ankle makes.
I have the exact same bike and year. I also have the same T-rex parts. You are using the stock shifter bolt that should have been changed out when you put the bash plate on. Its shorter than the one T-rex supplies. It will not have the thread bite it should have if it takes a hard hit and when tightened like it should be it will bind the shifter. Also I just did the COBDR and the T-rex back rack broke off from vibration. I had to find a local tig welder to reweld it to get me back on the road. I was carrying one gallon of water and one gallon of gas on it. Not sure im happy with the T-rex products. Thanks for the video and putting out good info for those that don't know.
Thanks Lone Ranger 🙂! I recall something being jacked up with the TRex bolt it came with and read somewhere another just used the oem. Since you brought thus up I went and inspected it and will keep an eye on it. I ride my CB500X on the hard top only as I'd wipe out off road... although when I bought it and decked it out I had some big plans to go adventuring. Yeah, not so much now. So I just putz around country back roads with it. I've heard SM Motech and Rally Raid are much better. I bought my bits during cvd so I kind of just took what I could find. Your right about the Trex quality. I had a Trex Monkey bike center stand and the stopper bar bent like a 🍌after a few snap up closures. Brought it to their attention and they could care less. Unfortunate as I do like the looks of their stuff. But that rack breaking like that is not confidence inspiring. Not cool especially at their price point. I envy you taking the CB500X on those big rides. I'm at a point where I enjoy watching others take on such terrain and am thankful I can tool around on mine.
@@findingneutral I have used SW motech and it seemed to work well on my Tiger. My buddie that went with me used Outback mototech, they worked well. If you replace your tires I wouldnt be afraid to rode your 500 off road. It actually did pretty well. Enjoy and ride safe bro.

Thanks Toxic Guns 🙂! Its by Corbin Seats. Best to call their main number. I had representative Jayce Tyger at the Florida location help me with my seat design.
I forgot to mention. These two bits together look really sharp and seem solid. One thing though is they are a bit buzzy on certain engine revs. Just wanted you tobe aware.
@@fmeneuhe From what I've read and seen on others channels adding these can create some extra vibration and buzzy noise on your bike. The CB500X has its share of vibration already so this kind of amplifies that. The skid plate just barely touches the crash bars along the lower header pipe area and the two guards kind of make a metal to metal racket there at certain rpms. Another consideration is when changing your oil you have to use the little trap door on the skid plate. I love the protection coverage and looks of this set up. Just feel the buzzy effect is a nuisance, but from what I've heard adding any accessories no matter which brand such as these can create this effect. Ill take buzzy over smashed plastics though. Plus it looks cool. I think SW Motech and Rally Raid should be considered when picking your guards. Those look great as well. Maybe ask anyone with those if they have any feedback as far as added vibration post install.
Sent you the link. I love the looks and it appears to offer robust protection. Replacement crash pucks are a cool feature too. They do however make a bit of racket at certain rpms. Like buzzy metal noise. Might be an issue if you do a lot if audio vlogs while riding. Also where my crash bars barely make contact with the front of my skid plate there's a bit of racket sometimes there. Besides that I like them and hope I never get to test them out 🤞
