This is a difficult song to sing, even for the original singer. Even the best vocalists almost never perform their songs in the original key or pitch. A good performance is not defined by clean vocals and perfection , if you as a listener were able to be moved , then that is what you take away from a performance. He is human , this is a beautiful song and he is a good singer. Plus he is getting paid and we aren’t.
