First thought... who is this kid? Secon thought -Who is this talented young woman who knows way more than me and is a natural teacher! GREAT video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rachel, thank you for sharing. After more than 18 years shooting professionally and taking a 20 yr break, so many things have changed. But I won’t miss filling my film backs. I enjoyed your perspective and a glimpse of the equipment used today. Wish I’d sold the 80k worth of equipment when I switched as it’s not worth much now. Anyway thank you again. Best wishes, Jeff
Thanks for the tip on the focus! I recently had a shoot ruined by focus hunting on my A7iii. It doesn't always happen, but it was particularly bad. Now I know what to do.
Awesome finished product! I'd never considered using auto ISO but clamping it down to a narrow range. I'm willing to be you can still see it "reacting", but your clever use of a speed ramp right there covered up any exposure inconsistency. Brilliant. Subscribed.
Wow! I’m so glad I found your channel. You’re doing exactly what I’m training for, I’m going to continue following you. You have a real talent for teaching your craft
Glad you enjoyed it!! A week ago I posted another video just like this, if you're interested in checking that one out too heres the link: ruclips.net/video/JjVSjrXTUFo/видео.html
and. this. is. how. the. agent. ... speaks. :D great video, though, exactly what I was looking for. One thing I'm playing with for an upcoming real estate job is bringing an additional piece of lighting and a diffuser to illuminate the rooms and some of the applications in close up a bit more. Camera seems to be struggling a bit indoor despite fullframe, probably due to the f4 of the zeiss which is why I'm opting for the tamron 17-28mm 2.8 now (wasn't there when you shot this though).
Thanks! I upgraded to the 16-35 GM now, but have also shot a property video with the tamron 17-28 but was really unhappy with it, that 1mm different i found was quite big (surprisingly enough). Bringing a light along is a good idea, it's just something that I can't justify doing - it takes too long to set up, move around the house. I do however offer it as an option to agents and if they wish they can pay more as it's a lot more time consuming.
Fantastic, after 8 years of doing just photography I'm adding video to my bag of tricks this year (once I practice enough to figure out what I'm doing, lol!). Super helpful video!
Excellent video! The FPV showing your behind the camera actions help so very much for me to understand how you were getting the shots, and how you needed to move with the gimbal. Great use of speed ramps, and the tips about ISO setting min and max when needing to go to auto really will help me out. And the focus auto than locking in was brilliant. Thank you!! Cheers!!
Honestly I don't! I find it too much effort to have to do it in each room - in saying that, this video is 2 years old and my style has changed quite dramatically, I now shoot in HLG2 and set my white balance a little bit differently but because I'm using a picture profile it allows me to manipulate the white balance in post so much more!
Just got the exact same gimbal today. This video is gold. So many videos about how to balance gimbals or how to set them up, or how to use features. Very few on technique, which seems to me where the real money is.
Thank you! I just picked up a camera and taught myself how to use it! I’ve always focused on video more than photo and eventually fell into doing paid gigs!
Great video thanks for posting! I am an agent here in Las Vegas NV. USA and I have been shooting with my 80D with a Ronin S and a Sigma 10-20 mm f3.5...Love the look of your Sony! Keep up the good work!
This is a great video, thank you for this. Great info I like the just finish it tip something I have to learn. I also like that you only used a few speed ramps and didnt go overboard with them.
New subscriber... Tripped over your video. Well done. I got a lot of great tips from it and I love the perspective with the "how to POV" shots of what you were doing.
Yep 1080p does the trick! If I had the option I would love to have 4k 60fps as everything looks so much crispier, but these videos are so disposable, the property will sell within a few weeks and the video has no purpose anymore. 4K footage also takes longer to edit (unless you have the newest of new macs that can handle it properly) and most agents want 24-36hour turnaround time. I've shot all of my property videos in 1080p and had no complaints about quality! Hope this helps!
Rachel - Rite Visuals It was so entertaining and jam packed of wisdom you’ve gained over time 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Don’t stop doing what you love! subscribed! Cheers from San Antonio, TX!
Some pro tips in there! Wouldn’t mind seeing a RUclips story on that wide angel focus setting you were talking about to fix hunting. What focal length are you using most of the time? If I’m being critical, I think the intro is a couple of second to long. But I think the vocals are supreme. When you get to a million subs we should all get a prize for being one of the first 500 subs haha
Hi Rachel. Thank you for the great and very informative video. I am in the process of selecting a wide lens for shooting video. I use Fuji X-T30 camera and my choice is between 9mm F2.8 and 12mm F2.0 primes (13.5mm and 18mm on full frame equivalent). I am leaning towards 12mm because many videographers on internet mention 18mm is most often used. There is also an option of Fuji 10-24mm zoom lens but it is only F4 and as far as I understand a minimum of F2.8 is advisable. May I ask at what focal length do you shoot and which lens would you recommend. Cheers!
Hey Andrew, I use the Son 16-35 2.8 G-master lens. for quite some time I used the f4 version of this lens, I like 16mm for real estate. In all honesty it all comes down to how much the lens is going to cost and how much you can afford. When I first started doing real estate I picked up the F4 version because I was doing 1- video per month and then when I got to a point of doing 5+ per month I decided to pick up the f2.8 version because it became a wortwhile investment. It's always handing having 2.8 over f4 especially since a lot of houses can have really dark lighting
one of the best and direct videos on real state video, LOVED IT!! If I can offer a help, maybe shooting in slog2 or HLG (A7III) will help you a lot with the big light difference between interior and exterior shots and to not blown out the highlights. Other than that, your tips were on point, will definitely be using it on my next shoot
@@RiteVisuals try HLG instead ! I've been loving the results i'm getting from it and you can expose just like any other profile (i'll usually do +.3 or .7 but sometimes +1 if backlit )
This was really well done and I feel I got some great tips here! My goal in 2019 is to do more videos in addition to my real estate photography business.
Love your work girl and it is inspiring seeing another chick doing this work. I struggle with finding the right gimbal because I have back issues. I am wondering if this handlebar setup is less stress on your arms and upper body?
Hi. Tell me please what aperture and shutter speed do you use for wide shots? And tell me please which angle did you use mostly on zeiss 16-35? Thanks a lot
Really well done - instructive and helpful -- THANKS! I most appreciate the idea to focus in auto then switch to manual focus. Smart! Two questions, please...What editing software do you use (guessing DaVinci), and have you considered doing a basic "editing video for real estate" intro of some kind? Don't let my "name" fool you -- I am terrified of editing video (have only mastered photo editing). My results thus far are almost always jittery after uploading -- not silky smooth like yours are.
Hey! Thanks for all of the kind words, I use premier pro! I was planning on doing a second part being the editing process but this video took so god damn long to put together that I lost interest in doing it, I think I should make one though! It's hard for me to think of exactly what I need to touch on as there are so many aspects to it and some that just come so naturally to me, is there anything in particular you want to know?
@@RiteVisuals That would be great. I'd suggest three general areas - good transitions and clip speed, music and narration (or titles) if used, and best settings for rendering. I know that is a lot, but I am far from mastering those to get an engaging (not boring) result. Thanks again!
