William one of those commanders where hes actually a great secondary do hide and deal good damage. But as a primary hes also very strong. Just a good commander that all infantry mains should be working on
He seems kinda like a hybrid, where he actually does damage to marches focusing him. It's pretty cool honestly. Would I like double aoe? HELL YEAH!! But wallace seems so good, even as a semi single target commander, he's a must have in any good mb
@GrowmietheGreen He basically is dealing AoE as long as he's swarmed it's nor double but him with LC is gonna be the best infantry pair for like 1.5 or 2 years
Also, one other thought.... LC/Wallace might be the new ultimate off lane march in canyon. Some nice tanky stats with ALOT of slap to make swarming marches pay dearly for hitting it. Just a thought.
I really like the idea of an off tank, many of us play infantry because that feeling of being a tough nut to crack. William's skills are balanced, I think the most dangerous thing is his branch of talents.
So I don't think this will necessarily COMPLETELY bench alex. Obviously testing will be needed, but it could be the case that if you run multiple inf marches, while I think the best pairing will be lc/wallace, you can probably keep lc/alex together, and try running gorgo/wallace together, and keep guan/scipio together. I like that mega inf players have potential options now in running multiple marches and be powerful in the field. I personally think in the event of multiple inf marches, alexs damage buffs is gonna make them even more op in sync with wallaces smite damage buff, while also gaining the benefit of scipios health reduction. It's kinda crazy if you really think about it, how many buffs, and debuffs, and all the other good stuff that you could gain from running these 3 marches, we just need to prove gorgo/wallace as a powerful march. But yeah, for altars, my guess is DEFINITELY LC/Wallace, hands down.
@ShappyGaming you're possibly right, and definitely can be countered to some degree. I've just been playing infantry heavy for so long, it's been a trick kinda getting out of it. The plan is to have at least one cav march, which I have in nev/joan, and eventually work on ZL/Herman if time permits once I've crafted a relatively good set of equipment and armaments. I think 4 marches is a good number for my level of play and spend, and this should help reduce my rss cost as I try and play top tier meta marches, and reserve a march for rune gathering and other random things. But man, equipment is a real beast these days 🤦♂️🤣🤣🤣
Imo he will replace Alex / Scipio paired with LC but I still think smite tree isnt that OP. Also because of that 80% to boost only one skill by 40% LC might be better primary. I would rather have 2250 aoe boosted by 40% than single target 2400 from Wallace.
Hey shappy!! So Spartan and Bus driver actually made a REALLY good point on how lc and wallace should be paired together, that being LC primary with Wallace secondary, simply because of the nature of his 80% chance to buff damage by 40%. Theres a 10 second cooldown. The potential over one turn for this to proc is HUGE, and if LCs active skill procs this skill on first shot, this is gonna buff his 5 target 2250 smite damage TREMENDOUSLY across all 5 targets hit, vs Wallaces 2400 over 1 target. I think we'll have to determine once we see the rest of the smite tree and actually test, but i thought it was a really good observation. We'll see soon enough!! I'll also be instant maxing him 😂😂😂😂 and even possibly do gorgo now depending entirely on how they pair together, and what the mge commander looks like, just for availability of pairs in the mb. Im a bit of an inf simp, so im sipping my tea, loving life right now 😂😂😂😂
So you are not wrong, that buff could make a big difference there- but I think the smite talent tree is a HUGE deal and will be incredibly OP, so much so that I still might put William primary!
