Beautiful Rachel, well done you. I love your design wall, I have made one also. It really helps me as I am no able to get on the floor anymore. Love Dianne.❤❤❤
Hello from one Dianne to another Dianne. Hope you are having a wonderful day !!!!!!!! ✌🏻♥️
Beautiful work. I appreciate your calm approach. Someone already suggested to put the red ball on the underside, if that doesn't work for you, get a new seam ripper, they do get dull. Keep up the good work.
Very happy quilt and your garden is beautiful😊
That quilt is beautiful Rachel and I enjoyed the video very much. Someone has already said about turning the seam ripper so that the red ball is on the bottom of the seam and aim it slightly upwards as you push it through the stitches. Thank you for sharing the pattern info too💕
I loved this project vlog, and your quilt is so lovely!
Thank you! 😊
You are such a cute young woman with a cheerful disposition. Thank you for making me smile today. I love how you can laugh at yourself.❤❤
That Mushroom quilt behind you is FABULOUS !!!!!!!
I pop the threads on the seams about an inch apart on one side, then start "ripping" and just use good ole jack when needed.
Beautiful quilt top Rachel. Love the fabric you chose for the backing. I never thought of using the selection of stitches from the sewing machine for quilting. Thanks for a grand idea. Thankyou for sharing the pattern. I class myself as the best un picker. Sometimes I spend more time unpicking than making. I tend to unpick by pulling a few stitches at a time. I too don't like ripping in case I rip the fabric. Speaking of FOQ I too am counting down and looking forward to it. I have booked 6 classes and made sure I have plenty of time for shopping. Also looking forward to the Alice Caroline sew along. Looking forward to the next video. Happy stitching....
Look how good you did !!!! Fast too! See you
Are a machine quilting demon!!!!! Way to go girlie!!! Jean Colorado USA
Wait till I tell you that I've made a cross body bag tonight... on the machine!! Who am I 🤣
Love your quilt and use of scrappy fabrics. I've wanted to make this pattern for awhile.
I use a little pair of cuticle scissors to undo my seams... i can slip the point under the thread & cut without worrying about cutting the fabric because the curved ends are away from the material. Love your videos.😊
Good idea !!!
Love 💕
You have such a great eye for color placement.
A lovely project - thank you for your company while I worked on my hexi snugglepot and cuddlepie fabric bowl 🤗
So pretty! Love your border! Such a nice shot of it blowing in the breeze on your clothesline.
Thank-you!
Well done, Rachel. Love your lap quilt hanging in the garden and blowing in the breeze.
Looked lovely blowing didn't it
@@stitchwithrachel: Yes it did !!!!
It's a beautiful quilt. I like your border. This may help you to not rip your fabric accidentally. I use my seam ripper turned the other way around. 🌝
Lovely quilt Rachel.
The wavy pattern was perfect. ❤
Rachel I just love your honesty in your videos. You say things exactly what I would have done or thinking 😊. The quilt to looks lovely and love the backing material. Love the wavy pattern. An idea I might try. Look forward to seeing the binding.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the video 💖
A love;y quilt. The wavy line quilting looks great.
Great video! I use the wavy stitch to quilt all the time!
I think I'll be using it alot more
Beautiful quilt 😊
A charming quilt!! Love the border. You added. And the quilting lines turned out perfect.
i loved seeing the process of laying it out on the design wall. so fun to be able to play around with layouts and placements.
Such a lovely result from using all those pretty fabrics you had in your stash. Thank you Rachel for another fun video. xx
You did a beautiful job
Haven't made this one yet; it's on my list. Love your border! Thanks for another great video, Rachel.
Lovely quilt Rachel. I too use the serpentine quilting pattern. It's very forgiving (doesn't have to be perfect). I agree with other comments about the red ball being on the seam side not on the quilt top side. You might find it can make a difference. ❤
Love it❤
I love the quilt, I am working on something similar without the border, so now I may have to add one🥰
Your quilt is beautiful💕
Thank you! 😊
Oh, my dear UK friend lol!! I'm always sewing my P. J'S 😆!! My go to "machine quilting" is the cross thatch! I love all your sound effects! Made me smile. Can't wait to get your stuff in the post. I set my deadline for Friday. 21 June!!! You would scream if you saw the hallway between my sewing rooms!! LOL! Hope you have a great week 🫖
Ohh! I love the charm packs ! The quilt is lovely ! 🎉❤
Thank you so much for showing me what to do with my scraps. Great job.
Absolutely adorable quilt. I will be adding this to my list of "Must Makes"!
Hello again from Perth Western Australia…keep on quilting, it’s THE best passion! 🧵🇦🇺🦘
What a lovely quilt. It turned out great! I can't wait to see it with the binding. ❤
Your quilt is lovely! Great job.
Its beautiful, I use the wave and cross hatch. The majority of us are like you when come to seam ripping.
You can always use more than 1 border
It’s really lovely
I was just watching you use your seam ripper and thought that this tip might help. The little red ball on the ripper is meant to go on the underside of the seam being taken out. The red ball prevents the point from piercing and tearing the fabric.
Oooooh thank you, that should help!
Thank you. Learn something new every day ❤
Oh my I didn’t know this! Thanks🇨🇦
I was going to let you know this too but not needed since Catherine already noted it. ☺️
I didn’t know that! Thank you ❤
Love the quilt Rachel
Beautiful❤
VERY NICE !!!!!!
Another lovely video, thank you for sharing. I've just discovered quilting gloves and they've made quilting on my domestic machine so much easier. They weren't very expensive, I bought them at a quilt show. I'm currently working a scrappy Irish chain quilt, amongst others projects.😃
I'm planning an Irish chain soon aswell 😃 I think I will get some quilting gloves as there has been a few occasions where I thought they'd be useful
Thanks for sharing the whole process including how you changed your mind about the border. I think this border is perfect! I can’t wait to see it finished with the binding.
So lovely
Love love love it!! ❤
I love how this turned out and it’s great inspiration to dig into my stash! Thanks for the great videos!!
It’s beautiful! I love how the wavy line quilting looks!
Oh, this turned out really nice!
Thank you 💖
Such a pretty quilt! 🌷🌼🌸
That is a lovely quilt top. Such simple shapes but so effective. How neat to be able to make it out of your stash.
Beautiful!!
What a great result!
Beautiful!
Give free motion quilting on your home machine a try. It's not that difficult with a quilt that size
Beautiful quilt!
Thank you, a great tutorial and very engaging to watch the process. Looking forward to seeing final quilt. Thanks again, JJ
You are so welcome!
That is such a bright, happy quilt Rachel. I am very tempted to get the pattern. Thank you for another enjoyable video
You are so welcome!
Absolutely beautiful
Thank you 💖
Love it
Beautiful quilt ❤
Thank you!
Love this pattern Rachel, but I just notice the one on the wall I really love with the mushrooms!
Beautiful Rachel love it well done you
This is just lovely. I love it, I want to do this so bad and I will but I have like 10 other projects not finished and some not even started. So trying to get some of those done before I do this one. LOL I keep looking at it. Might do it sooner. I just love it. Thank you so much.😊
Great looking quilt. I just watched your video making a quilt label on your embroidery machine. Can I ask what your business is, what items do you make? Also I love the long baskets you have folded Jelly Roll strips stored in, can I ask where you get them from. Many Thanks.
Looks amazing
Not been able to watch you for ages but finally grabbing some time to be inspired and relaxed watching your lovely videos … ❤
Glad you are able to join me 💖
Really enjoyed your video. I really appreciate your process. Definitely will look into the meandering stitch.
Meandering... that's the word I was looking for. Glad you enjoyed the video 💖
Lovely 🥰
I have a charm pack🎉and you gave inspiration ❤ I will quilt make , lol
It will work up lovely!
@@stitchwithrachel I really liked that you melded the two charm packs with stash…the result was Quite Lovely and you encourage letting go of self imposed limitations☀️
Great video Rachel. I’m in the process of making this quilt and I was wondering how you managed to add your borders without cutting off the tip of your points?
You should try a beard trimmer as an unpicker it’s sooo much quicker. 😊
Good idea!
Love the way your jelly roll is stored; did it come like that or is it something you have put together?
Wow wow it lovely and fabrics good work 💯🪡🧵✂️💐🌹🤩🌹🥳
Thank you 💖🧵
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Gosh can I get MSQC to send me stuff too?!!!! 🤭😜
Hi, I wondered if you could tell me which magazine did u subscribe to? I too want free bees eg: templates etc. 🙈
Why cant you do free motion on your home machine, especially on a quilt that small.. i do it all the time with full and queensize
I just meant that my abilities don't stretch that far at the moment 🤣
Hi Rachel, you’re great but young lady you need to learn how to use a seam ripper properly. Take it from a grandma in the US you’ll enjoy using the ripper after you watch 2 or 3 RUclips episodes on proper use. Good luck on your Christmas list.
Great job Rachel! Love all of your tutorials and your cheerful voice even using your seam ripper!!! ox Star @ StellaQuilts
