Excellent video! I learned so much about tire chains and some about wheel spacers too. I have the same tractor, just moved to Montana, so I'm going to have to buy a plow, chains, and apparently wheel spacers as well! Thank you for the good tips, I would really like the string idea 👍

Glad you found it helpful. I put the chains on the rear a few weeks ago using the string, it is so much easier using that method and much faster than trying to toss them over the tire. I really enjoy this tractor. good luck with your tractor. I wouldnt go too wide with the spacers it could weaken or compromise the axle bearings etc. thats why i just decided to not go too wide. the spacers i bought gave me chain clearance and made the tractor a little less tippy. somewhere on youtube i saw a video of a guy that took his tractor on a hill and he was able to just about push it over by hand. then he added i think it was 1 1/2" spacers to each side of the rear and he took it back to the exact same spot on the hill and he was no longer able to tip it by hand. so even an 1 1/2 on each side makes a good bit of difference in stability.

Wheel spacers made a BIG difference. A little tricky to put on, but definitely worth doing for anyone having this type of tractor.

The tricky part is not having the tire fall over and getting hurt when putting on the wheel spacers. each tire weighs over 700 pounds with rim guard in it. took a bit of planning.
