I can understand the no donuts, donuts are a big no no at pretty much any event, but no drone flying and them getting mad and banning you for you saying you didn't want to pay 16K to do a drive you do all the time, that's just bull shit and them thinking their shit doesn't stink.

When your in the hotel room you aren't representing GR. When your in the car doing doughnuts and flying drones you represent them. Not to mention if someone looses control while doing a doughnut someone can get hurt.. safety is key that's why they tell the drivers before leaving each place ... this is a rally not a race, don't speed and do the speed limits
I dont Know Bob pretty positive he wasn't doing them anywhere near people or cars. It was probably way off to the side in a big open lot. It just so happened to be at th event. The drone flying was not smart but he wasn't the only one flying therefore he shouldn't be the only one facing repercussions. And he said in a private text message that he couldn't justify paying that much for a drive that he's done multiple times. The only thing that should have gotten him knocked was the donuts. That's it. The other shit is just the owner being a little bitch 😂
Damon, I discovered you on the last GoldRush and fell in love with your ambition and creativity. GoldRush is my favorite rally and I sure as hell will miss you on it, but you're going to experience better and CREATE better. I'm riding with you until the end brother, and I thank you for what I've gained from watching you day after day. I miss the 458 like it was my own car... Literally broke my heart! Hey Damon!! There is a better rally out, I've been on it twice its called the Dustball rally! It's more focused on driving and commradare, Take a look into it man pricing is way cheaper. I broke my femur and am free all summer if you need a co driver and help filming for it hit me up!

Its not a crazy party an go nuts rally, its more about the drive and connection with the other ralliers. very little interstate driving and some incredible roads. they have the 1k this year, elpaso - vegas which is a fantastic haul its a short event though (good for canadians if you feel like breaking the border to border record - we failed in the gt3's from blown tires) and they have the 3k which is the god father of all rallies, ny to la!
I normally do not take the time to comment on any videos, but I really have to say it, it sucks that you got banned from Gold Rush Rally. I totally understand that you disobey the rules and even make a comment that might have pissed them off, but as far as I know a good attention call could have fixed the issue without going so extreme and banning you from it. Gold Rush Rally owners should be ashamed because they are not only losing a great brand ambassador but also because they are business people and they should be able to take some kind of negative feedback/criticism and improve it or take a more reasonable action about it. In the end, I hope they realize their screwed up and take you back, if not, then do it the entrepreneurial way and make your rally a one even better. You got this Damon, so cheer up and let's move on!

Agree with you look at now 1 year later after those guy banned DDE. DDE got huge succesfull year. DDE are good place for brand ambassador any kind of Supercar stuff. I just saw this video. I’m a Mopar dude. I didn’t like or cared for exotic cars; until now, I’m now a fan of DDE. I know this video was years ago, but thank you. I was in a Mopar club and we had harsh words with each other, like the Pres, and VP . I feel the emotions you went through. I was betrayed also. I’ve came back hard and took 1st & 2nd place in a car show, beating them. I still miss the club but life goes on. thank you, just a fan who drives a Mopar 392 Yellowjacket Challenger.

Why don't you start your own rally? Its obviously one of your passions, and specifically Canada and BC needs one. I think they had Diamond rally, but it doesn't seem to hit the same point as Gold Rush like rallies. In the spirit of Lamborghini's beginnings in the super car world, go and make your own hahaha. Also if you need some help with it I am in Van and know some car guys...

except isn't it 30kph and you get impounded... so stupid just give me a big ticket. All they want is money, so take my money don't take my car. But you could say the same thing about why own a supercar, but such a true point. Maybe a road course day or a runway day where people can do donuts with drones hahaha.

Also its sad to hear you got banned from GoldRush Rally. Just keep up the good work. Your content is up to par with some of the biggest automotive youtube channels so I have no doubts your channel will be big in the future. Maybe down the road sometime they will invite you back because they will finally see the benefit of having a channel like yours cover their event.

DDE will explode! Leaving these guys with their hands on their heads. I attended the Fuel Run at CNC Motors and to be quite honest, you were the only one that gave us the time of day, answered questions, talked about the new car and shit like that. Funny thing is, I knew that was the way it would go down and that says a ton. That type of attitude solely will ensure great things for you and the DDE team in the future.
Damon, hold your head high ! YOU were the only one to provide the "WOW" factor at Gold Rush & Fuel Run. Without your donuts, burnouts, etc. the "views" would be WAY down. As you well know, its all about 'pushing the limits, going to the edge, breaking rules, going one step further, trying something NEW.....thats what viewers want to see, and I think you know that. Nobody wants to see the same old, safe, stock footage. They want New, WOW, Risk taking, different, etc. Content is boring without any of these characteristics. I feel like the owner of Gold Rush rally reacted a little immature, it seems childish that he would ban some one for just explaining that they don't agree with paying that amount to do the rally for the same route that has been driven more than once, and we all do crazy things with our cars it is what makes us car enthusiast's a warning would seem justifiable not a ban that feels like something you would get in high school from a chess club for cheating..

Goldrush is gonna miss you more than you miss them. I love watching your videos and I sit with my 7yr old son and we watch and dream of doing the things you do with them cars. His favorite cars now are you Ferrari 458 (r.i.p.) and now your Lambo. We both love the fact that you drive those cars the way you do with the donuts and burnouts and drifting. The fact that you bring the Exotic car world to other people and let them experience even a little is just amazing. Keep up the awesome work. Just to reiterate what a lot of the other comments have said. I have heard of and seen other GRR participants do way more stupid crap on the rally than donuts in an empty parking lot and fly a drone over a racetrack... I can think of a particular incident where someone sent a Mclaren 12C flying into a metal shed off the freeway...Damon keep pursuing your stuff. This past Snowball rally looked way more genuine than GRR ever has by a country mile.

as a car guy, i was never into the whole rally and car meet thing. Yes, they can be great to connect with other car people, but at the same time, they are not the best events to actually enjoy the true driving experience of super cars. I think a better option is solo/small group road trips (pretty much a rally) with a few friends. its a lot more enjoyable, you get to do what ever you want, more cost effective, and you get to enjoy other things along the way. I think you getting banned from a stupid rally group isn't a very big deal - now you are free to do what ever you want and enjoy driving in your own way.

Damon, that is upsetting to hear. Mainly because most of the car enthusiasts that started to follow GRR from the U.K. was due to seeing you in videos, and seeing TSV1. Fair dues, rules are rules, and as a fellow drone flyer, I am met with these slaps on my wrists from time to time, which have been waved due to the fact I fly safely and have no incidents. As you said, in confidence, the cost is a bit much in your own opinion, which you have the right to have, and either way, you would have still been attending the rally, so that person who did that, is bad blood for me. GRR should really re-consider what they have done by banning you from their events, your not just some wannabe, you are the real deal, and this is why I'm a fan of yours and have watched every video you release, and appreciate you sharing your life and world with all of us. Your a good guy, and i feel they have made a harsh decision. Still and always will be a fan of yours.

The "race track" was the airstrip at a US military base. Participants were clearly told not to use drones. This was not some normal drag strip.
I am looking at this video for the first time and this month of me watching it Damon and Dave did Gumball3000 rally.
$16,000 to drive a route you normally take, shouldn't be taken as criticism. Like, it's optional, who ever is running the event needs to get their panties out of a bunch. Keep doing you man!

Every single rally is turning me off now. Gumball for the celebrities, Cannonball because of Jovian, and now GoldRush because of this (and TeamSalamone). Its ridiculous how these things operate no matter how "authentic" they're trying to be.
Props to you and other YT'ers for actually keeping it real with REAL content. The car world has some nasty people and some nasty organizations in it, and I'm sorry you had to deal with some of that.
