Hey Corey, thanks for this update. I think videos like this are unique and very helpful as I do not think we see updates on products after they have been used for 6 months or so. Thank you for doing this!
Thanks for checking out the video. I agree, I think a lot of people either don't give a solid amount of time to something like this so they never make it to 6 months. Or they don't think it will be beneficial to someone else. I always try to give an item like a wallet a good chunk of time to grow in me. There have been a few exceptions for wallets that just didn't work for me personally.
@@coreyharrismagic I think a good amount of review channels work to get the "review" (which tends to be an initial impression) out quickly because of how we operate now - immediacy! Which is still helpful. But hearing about something after it has been worked for 6 months is cool. In terms of wallets, I am similar to you and many others that have owned almost all of them! After using the Orphic + for about five months, I still like it. I think Brent Braun's FPS is still better overall for C2W (smooth, easy, good quality), and I still like my old JOL C2W as well. Those would be my top 2 C2W. I also agree that the Shadow is a tough one to beat - so simple, slim, and offers a lot, plus the quality seems a bit better than the Orphic + to me for some reason. I still like the switch feature for the Orphic +. I do the simple routine where they draw a card and it ends up being the only red one in an all-black pile, using the switch feature, and I connect that with a modular routine if I want it to go longer. The peak is good too. The C2W is also decent, but that little flap of leather on the inside of the window that the card gets caught on sometimes when you go to remove the card annoys me; I probably will just glue it down, but overall still a fun wallet to play with. Again as always, thank you sir!
Yeah I agree with that 100%. We are in a time where people want to be the first to release a review. Initial thoughts are great, but I think if it doesn't stick around or earn it's place, then the initial review is almost a waste of time. I know I have been guilty myself though of putting reviews out quickly too. The Quiver Card to wallet has always been a top for me before the shadow. I didn't really like Brent Brauns FPS wallet. For me there was a lot of room for improvement to better utilize the space. It was one of those wallets that I only used for maybe a month. I had a similar issue with the Hermes Wallet. The nice thing is we all have preferences on what we like and want to use, and there is such an abundance of products out there that everyone should be able to find something that works for them.
I have both the shadow and the orphic plus, I bought Slick to change a bit and the peek is not bad ... but the orphic has the best peek even of the shadow, the shadow you can't show it behind and you might see the peek from different angles ... the orphic has an excellent peek, easy fast and once the wallet is closed after the peek is done, the shadow does not give me peace of mind ... too much in sight the peek window, the orphic in my opinion is currently the best on the market, and then there is nothing in the shadows, I in the orphic or a lot of things, I will hardly change it if it does not come out better !!
