- In this episode, we enhance a bustling transit corridor by creating a bespoke boulevard focusing on transit. Additionally, we redesign a congested intersection near the main bus station to facilitate smoother bus traffic. We aim to boost accessibility in the central city area while preserving pedestrian movements and traffic flow. We do this by properly implementing bus lanes, creating supernodes and customising intersections.

he spent entire episode setting up 2 roads. meanwhile me sets up half the city. difference is mine looks like boxes. his looks like a real city😂.
I absolutely love the perfect imperfections, I always have a hard time looking past stuff that doesnt fit well
For the highway interchange at Valley Industrial, maybe have a look at the Zwolle Zuid Interchange in Zwolle, the Netherlands. I think it’s about the same size and would be pretty cool, though I’m not sure how much of it would be an upgrade to the existing infrastructure, but it’s just a rlly cool interchange.

@@SunnyScunny Mhm, that WAS the city back in the 13th century. It’s an old Hanseatic trading city, which now has expanded to 130,000 citizens. Beautiful place!
What a thoroughly excellent build! So glad you upped the capacity to a 3-lane road at the end... I was thinking part way through that some of the congestion was being caused by tailing 2 lanes into one as you go towards the bridge.

One thing that I find helps a little bit with traffic is taking out the crosswalk in front of where the heavier traffic tends to pile up (for 4 way intersections) -it makes it a bit easier for them to turn and pedestrians don't need all 4 crosswalks to walk to where they want to go. It's not a game changing tip to solve all traffic, but it does help and every little bit goes a long way in the end.

If you play with mods I can recommend the Traffic mod. It lets you edit the car and even tram lanes. Whilste the tram edditing is a bit tricky tho

Not for this city but maybe in a future series, any mods you think I’m missing out on?
@@SunnyScunny Maybe Prop Line Tool will be useful for you, as you are placing alot of trees in straight lines, but overall im always suprised how much you are able to do without mods.
Maybe also find it and other prop mods, wich enable greater detailing.
@@SunnyScunny Better Bulldozer, Line Tool and Traffic all allow for vanilla compatible play (you can use them all and then load the save into vanilla without issue, from knowing what's in them and personal experience). Plenty of others for detailing but then you're tied into them, which is fine in its own way.
