You weren't wrong to call them "tires". The steel bands around the outside of old fashioned wooden wagon wheels were called tires. A tire is the portion of a wheel that makes contact with the ground and takes the wear. Also: amazing video lol. It deserves way more likes.
Sir, you are truly insane!!!!! I love this.......I am amazed at how you did this. Very inventive and the results were incredibly surpising. You never cease to impress sir.
A failure would have been absolutely catastrophic... Could have sent a 10 lb piece of concrete into your chest at over 100 mph even though you were only doing 40 the wheels are experiencing way way more force.... That was dangerous
The best way to pour concrete in a wheel form for proper centrifugal balance and proper psi, would be to bolt it to a hub type potters wheel, with a vibrating axle at about a 2 slump, use poly mesh. I would definitely recommend spraying the form with a silicone before filling the rubber expansion joint, and leave the entire tire ON the rim...holy Fred Flintstone Batman ! Lol 🤣
Dude, just this morning in the shower I thought to myself if it was possible to build a car from stone. Real drive train, wheels and tires but the rest be stone.
Using a vibrator when casting concrete is a must. It will settle it and remove voids. Just don’t vibrate so much that the water separates up to the top
I remember some old random cartoon I watched as a kid, seemed like it was partly inspired from The Flintstones, but things in it were weird and backwards. They had their cars with stone wheels and rubber roads haha! Good stuff, keep it up 👍
Great work with the video looks very cool I've seen a lot of projects that have done the exact same thing it's very cool to see some of the ideas RUclipsrs have
Call me a newb to this, but I think there is a reason they don't make wheels and tires out of concrete. I think the engine was trying to tell you something.
You should take them to your local tractor tire repair store, get them foam filled. You want to try a crazy tire? Its a block of wobbly rubber once you strip the tire off.
Concrete sets by a reaction with the water in the concrete. The recommendation is, if anything, to keep the surface on concrete damp with a water mist to ensure it cures correctly. So all the efforts you made to add vents to allow the concrete to "dry" and demoulding it early so that the bottom could "dry" was not only pointless, but maybe even counterproductive!! But great video nonetheless
I made metal paddle wheels for my gokart for the ice, and they where bouncy as heck, suffered pretty much all the exact same scenarios as your gokart 🤣 Broken seams, broken wires, oil leakage and engine stopped running, eventually also caught on fire, woops! :DD
Stone. I was here for the Stone wheels. No amount of quirky music or jump cuts will give that, I much prefer no clickbait. That's why I watch Whistlin Diesel - he does not click bait. If he had a thumbnail with the word "STONE" and a big red arrow pointing at some stone coloured kart wheels, you best believe that is what you would get in the video - that is Stone Wheels!
I think if you focused on youtube full-time you would be making a nice little slice of money.. hurry up .. I need 2 of you videos a week to keep me excited xx
dude, you should have soo manymore views. This is GREAT content. LOVE it.
Thanks man!
@@ChrisRollins I have a feeling you’ll blow soon. Just came here from the wagon and trash can videos lol
We all had the idea about a car with stone wheels, but this is the first time I've seen someone did it, I'm really glad i stumbled upon this
These held up a lot better than I thought, most RUclipsrs just seem to not be able to make stuff like this work.

Awesome! The new gen Flintstone!
I thought the same thing!!! I was gonna say, Fred Flinstone better watch out!!! CR is in the house!!!
Really makes you appreciate it though
Haha, I was going to say something similar 🤣
Only 66 views? Whaaaat? I love your videos. You're gonna explode on RUclips. Especially if you do some collabs with other badasses.
Thanks man! I have a few collabs in the works for this year! 🙌🏻
Any details you can share?
You meeeannn 4000😁

But you already knew that, di'int ya, Mas'a Bruce?
Fat mouth lies, it has like 5k views dummy head
the Flintstones probably wouldn't of had paved roads so probably probably could find better terrain more suitable for stone/ concrete wheels.
A failure would have been absolutely catastrophic... Could have sent a 10 lb piece of concrete into your chest at over 100 mph even though you were only doing 40 the wheels are experiencing way way more force.... That was dangerous
Craziest Ideal I have ever seen for a go kart tire. I loved the video!!

ima be fr, i thought you was gonna have over 1m subs because of the production quality

Fred Flintstone lookin ass car.
Ideally you would test this on a rubber track.
I normally say genius to your videos. This time....well, I’m not so sure. But either way I love it 😂🤣😂 great to see another video. Keep um coming.
such a quality content, this video deserves a million views
I thoroughly hated every bit of this video. Keep it up!
I am surprised at the durability even though it was high psi. 107% success. Please wear some arm protection!
Nice video bro, you're really underrated
I'm over here binge watching your videos, getting intrigued and I need to be at work. Oops. Keep up the good work
That was so COOL Chris!!
That was SO crazy. How’s the kidneys? LOL

why not make a metal wheels to give a try
Absolutely amazing
i may be wrong, but i think that is the world record for the fastest go-cart using concrete wheels.
Underrated channel
I think rubber front tires and concrete rear. Epic drift cart
A big thumbs up!! Fantastic!!!
Expanding foam tires?

LOL! Chris, what made you think of doing this? I could feel your pain as you endured riding on concrete wheels.

You’ve become my favorite RUclipsr over night
Did you just reinvent the wheel? Did you get this idea from B.C.? Did you see a chiropractor afterwards?
I dont know who BC is but yes, i threw my back out the next morning! Lol
@@ChrisRollins B.C. is a comic strip. One of the character rides around on a rock wheel.
Oh haha!
F'ing awesome! You got balls of cement 😂
Do it again but spray them with flex seal and see if that makes them grippy
The motorized Flintstones cart!
This is great content! Doing the ridiculous so we dont have to.
chris be rollins on stones
Why didn't you put some cushion on the seat?😅
U shouldve used some mem foam or gel to help the vibes
The Flintstones. LOL
Cool video but imagine a chunk of concrete flying off of the front tire and hitting him at 40 mph
My dad always want to make rubber rods to go with this.
How have I just found your channel
No, the most damage happened when you drove concrete on top of a public road designed for rubber tires. The road itself was damaged.
Good times!
Cool stuff! Keep it up! I'm agreed with guy bellow (or up probably) about collabs to boost your channel, it would've been great
Thank you! Got a few in the works 🤘🏻
I could feel how painful that was! No way you could drive that thing in Chile.
“Things Are Just Jiggling Loose!” Title of your sex tape! 😂😝
Now we know why Fred Flintstone had a bad back.
Make resin tyres or silicone tyres.
I like this idea! Like giant skate board wheels!
The Flintstones suffered a lot.
Ill vouch for that
Mario kart meta builds be like
No wonder Fred Flintstone was always so cranky!
Ill vouch for that
You must've been STONED to come up with this one lol jk. I love the content though btw! keep it up! ^-^

I'll bet you have a hard time getting life insurance.

Instead of making wheels from concrete. Try making road from rubber
As a parent why in the hell did you not lower your visor? It would’ve offered some degree of protection come on.
Next drive stoned , on stone wheels.
