Ultimate cringe. He says it just like the slave masters did. Which makes his slave bars uncomfortable to hear. “Whipped and chained you like American slaves”. - Drake “You always rapping like you trying to get the slaves free”. - Drake again Smh
Euphoria is my favorite. The whole beef is orchestrated as he wanted it and Kendrick is the conductor. I remember ppl didnt like the intro of the song but u see now how well it aged.
Kendrick’s songs all aging like wine, while Drake’s songs are aging like milk. -Push Ups was cool -Taylor Made was distasteful and had to be removed lmao -Family Matter is a whole mess. Why did he accuse Kendrick of DV then shouted out Chris Brown. @lincolnward85 olsteen has done so much worse tthan. During Katrina, he shut the doors to his church and didn't let people use the church for shelter. He's also sold fake miracle water, and is more of a drifter than a Christian.
Drake was calling the Control verse, just a moment that people would forget. But Kendrick seems to have a long career full of unforgettable moments lol
The battle laid out that at this moment Drake is a pop artist and Kendrick is an MC. And there's nothing wrong with that. An artist can exist in both or go from one to the other. But I haven't seen or heard any breakdowns mention this. Drake showed he was mentally out of his league and wasn't paying attention. Drake starts "Family Matters," which was the response to "Euphoria" by saying, "...you mention my seed now deal with his dad. I got to go bad, I got to go bad..." The thing is, Kendrick didn't mention his son on "Euphoria". What he says is "...that's ho shit, I got a son to raise, but you don't know nothing bout that..." and continues. The jab is about DRAKE'S PARENTING! He did not mention Drake's seed. Kendrick used his own son, while comparing himself to Drake. Not to mention Drake using this as the moment he has to go bad because Kendrick is bringing family into it after Drake already screamed Kendricks wife's name on the song before Euphoria! (... wit some bodyguards like Whitney...) It showed Drake's head was all over the place and wasn't prepared in so many ways for the tactician that Kendrick is.
Yes.. intellectually he doesn't even come close to kendrick. But his huge ego and the deep seated jealousy that he has towards kendrick gassed him up and he thought that he can take him down. 🤣 like you got a half an info and thought you can take down someone like KENDRICK out of all people he could beef with? He had it coming tbh
Not even a submission, this was tapping to strikes. I think this was the most lopsided contest I've seen since that commercial where LeBron plays 1 on 1 with his neighbour while wearing a bathrobe and holding a cup of coffee. As for bars - I think "Tell 'em run to America to imitate heritage, they can't imitate this violence" Is my single favourite line, because there's the surface level bravado, but it also cuts to the crux of what makes Drake so corny - he never went through the trials and tribulations. I also love the "dear baby girl" verse because I'm certain Kendrick was considering a broader audience than just the specific people he was referencing, and he deliberately wrote it as an uplifting message to young girls who don't have their father in their lives.
Yeah, I was kinda miffed that he said there wasn't much dissing in the beginning of "6:16 in L.A", its full of references and disses (like the "Off-White sunseeker" bar simultaneously ripping Drake for being materialistic, an imitator, and a cloutchaser all in one line isn't a heater
@@ElChaseReturns watch “what’s the dirt’s” breakdown of 616 in LA. He’s rapping from Drake’s perspective. The Sunseeker is a yacht, another yacht called the predator is a sister ship. KL talks about Ibiza where the legal age of consent is 13 - it’s a place that Drake raps about and frequents. KL in that initial verse raps details that only Drake would pick up on.
Thanks for reminding ppl that artists who have been in beef will always be compared in some way or another. Drake fans been pushing the narrative that KDot is "milking it" and they're "tired of beef, let's move on, etc.", which just not gonna happen in this genre. But then again, I don't expect them to be educated in hip hop history and antics.
I mean Wayne was his mentor & brought him into the game. Wayne was the reason other rappers started to accept Drake, the former actor turned popstar now in the rap music space. Like DRE was for Eminem. But Drake isn’t loyal to anyone, not even his mentor. But what for did he betray him? Some time with his girlfriend was worth that?
I think something that went over a lot of people’s heads..remember on “Like That” Kendrick says “Got 2Ts with me i’m snatching chains and burnin’ tattoos”. Drake rebuttals on “Push Ups” with “you won’t ever take no chains off of us”..Kendrick again responds with “I be at New Ho King eatin’ fried rice with the dips sauce and a blammy”…that line had a few meanings but it was also a response to Drake’s Push Up line..basically saying you already got your chains took in your own city punk you ain’t tough (in an area relatively close to where Drake was robbed) 😂 Kendrick is a damn Wizard
Kendrick also knew that he would eventually mention Pharrell’s chains, bc Aubrey made that “Meltdown” song. Dot had a lot of industry backstories he wanted the public to know, he just needed Aubrey to give him the chance 😂
Ya that was one of the funnier parts of the battle when k dot called drake out making gunna look like a saint, then kendrick says he a pdfile and drakes like "oh where the snitch reciepts?" Like na dude he said you like kids, that's what makes gunna look like a saint
No, Kendrick was saying if he starts talking what he knows, it would make Gunna look like a saint. He wasn’t calling Drake a snitch, and the pdf line had nothing to do with Gunna.
Im convinced Drake really is on pills or something because there's no other way to explain why he made so many poor and senseless decisions in the battle, its embarrassing from beginning to end. And notice the Mals, Aks, Gillies, Games and Camerons who really think he did his thing all come across as weird, mental, and insufferable ah as well about it. Like they're under a spell or something, its wild. Drake exposed himself and so many others, and will continue to do so for years to come.
At this point I think it’s more hate for Kendrick than an actual Like for drake. They see a west coast guy with all the accolades and did it differently and never changed
Another thing people miss is the movie AI is about a robot who is rejected by his human dad and coddled by his human mother. His mother has to let him go bc the dad doesnt want him anymore so the robot spends the movie trying to find out how to become a real boy. Its basically a modern retelling of Pinocchio Kendrick is calling Kendrick a fake who’s trying to be something he is not because he was rejected by his dad Joel Osteen was not in AI or The Sixth Sense btw, that was Haley Joel Osment. Joel Osteen is a tv pastor that was accused of using ghostwriters and ai. Kendrick mixed their names - Joel Hale Osteen - to go with the theme of being confused about who he’s battling
The Joel Osteen metaphor is even better. Not only the play on words, but also, Joel Osteen isn’t the actor, his last name is Osment. Joel Osteen is that prosperity gospel pastor who made money off the community and just talks about how much he has. but he shut down the church when a hurricane happened and people needed spaces. And then the general conversation about AI where the results are never quite correct, there’s always something kind of weird that tells us that it’s AI. so he’s playing off the movie titles, but also a double entendre about comparing Drake to Joel Osteen, while also adding a commentary about how AI is weak and we can see the difference if we pay attention. People say it’s a reach and it was just a mistake of Osment/Osteen… but I don’t think so. I think he’s been very meticulous about his songs and everything has been purposeful.
I think something that doesn’t get mentioned is the fact that Drake also walked himself into the Atlanta verse because he practically dissed the city of Atlanta in “Family Matters” when he says “Weeknd music gettin’ played in all the spots where boys got a little more pride. That’s why all your friends dippin’ to Atlanta, payin’ just to find a tour guide” basically calling Atlanta an LGBT city and so Kendrick turned that on Drake and very well.
I just noticed the “you got 10 more records to drop” line 😂😂😂. Drake was like, hell nah, I can’t keep doing this! Kendrick said years ago he didn’t think him and Drake would ever go bar for bar, bro knew Drake couldn’t run with him! 😂😂😂
this beef how we know Kenny really did therapy and worked on himself, because he could read Drake so well and anticipate what kind of moves he could make
In Euphoria, K said he could already predict Drake's angles, going far enough to predict that he'd use ammo he misunderstood from Mr. Morale. What happens in Heart Pt 6? Exactly what K predicted. I swear Kendrick knew Drake was just about to drop Family Matters (probably because Drake told his Twitch bots to get ready) and chose to sandwich it between 6:16 and Meet the Grahams. 6:16 was the final warning shot. Clear as day.
Euphoria is a masterpiece! So many bars ,so much deeper meaning, a hiphop education and a beatdown at the same time! I play it every day. I appreciate the genius of it. The wordplay. The beatshifts . Kendrick was one step ahead and leads credence to the line in 6:16 where it says "maybe OVO is working for me", those OVO moles seemed to be really against Drake and not make's Drake an inconsistent liar in the Hart Part 6 when he said his team had info then immediately calls them clowns for leaking said info 😂.

My question is what could Drake possibly rap about going forward in his career? Anything where he expressed even a smidge of lyricism, it was sneak disses to people who he decided to air out on. Now who you gonna sneak diss for the next 10 years? Regular regular dudes? You gotta actually have some subject matter, but He reuses the same 5-7 topics on every song 🤷🏽♂️
Apparently drakes team make ai reference tracks using drakes voice so he can get his flow right and deletes the original reference track thats puts the ghosts and ai line into perspective

I love everything. The only thing I'll push back on is that on Meet the Grahams, even though he was addressing members of Drakes "family' he was using Drakes issues to continue to diss him. Fake abs, getting peed on, being a master manipulator, the other subsequent allegations are still things Drake did or is doing.
"A hundred that you got on salary, and twenty of 'em want you as a casualty, and one of them is actually next to you." While the 6 :16 in LA beat is looping the word "Wonderful." The mole is Boi-1da.
I agree with 98% of what you said. My exception is WRT Drake’s career being able to survive… He’s not getting over, through or under the correlation of his solidified deeds. Millie Bobbi, Billie, smashing mentor, friends, allies girls…jumping on peoples waves, moving funny within the industry. The stench is on him & it’s not coming off because it’s real & people are done rocking with it & Drake.
I think he’ll still get good streaming numbers. Think of all the haters who will listen simply to criticize it. But where he’ll really be affected is nobody will collaborate with him and I wouldn’t be surprised if he can’t tour anymore because of the security issues involved. Think of all the people who will want to cause trouble at his shows to get attention etc
Drake fans don't understand rap. When asked who I prefer, I tell them I prefer hip-hop and, if that doesn't make sense to them, I know where they stand.
You are 💯 Like That verse was a throw away bit in my opinion, Drake is jealous of KDOT’s authenticity and how he shakes up the game when he drops, Drizzy wishes he was as influential and inspiring as Mr Morale, most of Drake’s lyrics are surface level.
Ppl forget the Gossip came from Family Matters. Not Push Ups. Dot just stepped on it so fast. Dot didn’t take the personal family angle until 5 minutes after Family Matters Drop lol
The gossip started in Push Ups. The line "I be with some bodyguards like Whitney" is a movie reference, but it's also a reference to Kendrick's baby mama, whose name is Whitney. Then he's also got the line "Shit'll probably change if your BM start to kiss and tell" which is about Ciara who had a song called Kiss and Tell and who is also Future's baby mama.
@@flowrgrl779 facts but push up was a sub and dot didn’t go there till meet the grams. The bodyguard line wasn’t direct . Like dat euphoria 616 was friendly fade mode .

Highkey agree with you on the last part of MTG. I think it's the best part of the song and it's not even close. Kendrick's delivery, the scathing nature of that whole section, the production, the building up. Just non-stop the entire time. Easily the best part of the song to me.
"Am I battlin' ghost or AI" was a mix of two people. That's why he said Joel Osteen instead of Joel Osment. Joel Osteen was a fake preacher who used ghostwriters and AI to write his sermons. And also Joel Osment was in a movie called Sixth Sense and A.I. He was talking about more than one person here but comparing them to Drake.
Drakes diss tracks all sounded the same. Even the raps all sound the same , If you even listen to his albums it's so generic, it lacks creativity , it's passive it just seems like microwave stuff , you consume it once and dispose it after. Like most crunk music back then
He is so monotone to me, I don’t know how people like his voice. There is usually no inflection it’s just the same tone. I have never been a fan because of his tone (when he raps).
And the amount of editing touch ups and autotune used in his songs to make him sound not Canadian sucks so badly like his entire career is phony and fake
@@sheastar05 See this is what blows my mind whenever haters would bring up Kendrick "having a weird voice". Drake's style of rapping is so damn boring and monotonous, that you can probably splice different parts of different songs together and it'll sound like it's just one song.
A complete masterclass in battle rap by one Kendrick Lamar Duckworth. Banishing one Aubrey Graham to the netherworld of whackness and cornballism. May he forever dwell in the embarrassment and shame of trying to live up to a lyricist. And his headstone 🪦 reads…..NOT LIKE US
With a rap battle, everything counts.NOTHING is off limits. Its only when one takes a major loss, the rules change, and all the losing fans try to inject the new rules..TOO LATE!!!
Honestly, I'm more incline to believe what Kenny said about Drake than the other way around. Simply because: 1) Drizzy's a known liar 2) all Drizzy's shots were misconceptions based on topics Kenny's already discussed at length on numerous songs and projects but mostly on Mr Morale 3) there's more public info on Aubrey being a weirdo and clear evidence of Drake not really respecting or understanding black culture in the US
"You lied about the only artist that can offer you some help" I'm not even sure that's about lying about Kendrick. I think the only artist that can help Drake is Drake, which is why he follows it with "this a long life battle with yourself!"
26:30 I think the verse still exists but slightly altered. Notice he said "homie still doubled down callin us slaves" because on a SZA song he said "whip and chain you like American Slaves".
That’s not what Pusha T said, in an interview he said that a girl that had had sex with 40 and was sleeping with someone on his team told them it wasn’t 40 himself, bro
The meet the grams track was the most calculated move I've ever seen in a rap beef. I don't think Drake has a mole in his camp but I think that he telegraphs his moves way too easily. When Meet the Grams track came out you believed everything because of how soon it came out.
I've watched a ton of Euphoria reactions and you are the ONLY one I've seen to interpret the Gunna line the way that I did, it wasn't about Drake snitching on anyone, it was all about all the dirt Kendrick himself was going to expose to the public. Well done sir!
Oh there's definitely some Drake disses at the beginning of 6:16 in LA. "Off white Sunseeker at the marina" Off white (Drake biracial) Sunseeker is a company that sells yachts, they have a model called Predator (makes sense after MTG) At the marina = at them arenas (Drakes tour stops were at arenas). So that bar translated is Kendrick saying, its a biracial predator at them arenas. Had to do some research on that bar
Nahh, I definitely prefer when the beef gets personal. Even with all the personal shit, Kendrick still came strong with his lyrical ability, it was Drake who was lackin on that front. Even if he was locked in, it wouldn't have been that interesting without the personal stuff knowing that Drake's got a ton of folks ghost writing for him. Plus, given the weight of some of the accusations thrown, I think it's something that needed to happen to get more eyes on this kinda stuff.
Wait until you really understand his Joel Osteen line. If you notice, it’s not the actors name. It’s deeper than you realize. It’s one of my favs on the track too 🫡
The thing is the bar you just mentioned as Lyricist Kendrick is a Lyricist we in Hip Hop Thrive for that that is Food For Thought and emotion you can't beat that you can't buy it he was gifted with that

Kendrick said drake doest understand the bars😂😂😂
I believe everything kendrick said!!!
Drake said it himself, come with something I can understand, I hope he understanding now😅😅😅😅😅
Drake is a walking contradiction. How are you an elite writer but can’t understand Dot?
💯 Euphoria is my favorite song in the whole 🥩

And that was drizzle’s chance to take the L! He let his mouth & ego write a check his talent could not cash!😂😂😂
Yes, IT DID HURT Wayne! In the interview he then turns his head & you can see it really hurt him even speaking about it. It was even painful for me to see his face like this & and he paused for some time and the camera was kept on his hurt face - it immediately transcended through the screen that it was difficult for him. I mean Wayne was his mentor & brought him into the game.
It's just another mark against Drake's character
Wayne also outright stated that he was hurt by Drake sleeping with his girl. He wrote that in his book if I’m not mistaken.
Hurt him double cuz that's his girl AND his protege smh
Everytime I hear Drake say the N word, I just remember that one clip of him saying it with a hard R
Ultimate cringe. He says it just like the slave masters did. Which makes his slave bars uncomfortable to hear.
“Whipped and chained you like American slaves”. - Drake
“You always rapping like you trying to get the slaves free”. - Drake again

-Push Ups was cool
-Taylor Made was distasteful and had to be removed lmao
-Family Matter is a whole mess. Why did he accuse Kendrick of DV then shouted out Chris Brown. Shouted out YG, then YG made the song ‘Weirdo’ that I think is a diss to Drake, and he was at the Pop Out concert dancing to “Not Like Us”. Whitney was there rapping all the Drake disses. Dave Free produced the show. Top was also there. Smh
-The Heart Part 6 is just a huge pile of you know what. Worst track from the whole beef. Last I checked a month ago it had over 1M dislikes.
Fax.... Non of Drake's disses hit at all on any level, even if I was a Drizzler Glazer... Kendrick came to kill Drake wanted to play

Yeah. Everything Kendrick said in Euphoria came true
While the contrary for many statements for Drake... YG on the stage, doesnt get more love than in kendrick own city. And much more... Milk indeed!
Drakes disses aged like hot milk...on the porch in a Southern summer!! If you live in the South...ya already know how hot it gets!!!
Joel Haley Osteen also refers to the preacher who has been accused of being a fraud and having others write his sermons. Everyone misses this.
That's a world most people aren't involved in to even realize it's also referencing a pastor. I didn't know he was accused of being a fraud though.
@lincolnward85 olsteen has done so much worse tthan. During Katrina, he shut the doors to his church and didn't let people use the church for shelter. He's also sold fake miracle water, and is more of a drifter than a Christian.
He’s accused of using ghostwriters and ai.
Knoxhill got it.....I heard from his reaction vids.
Thank you! I about fell out of my chair when I first heard him say Joel Osteen.
Drake was calling the Control verse, just a moment that people would forget. But Kendrick seems to have a long career full of unforgettable moments lol
Drake is jealous of the fact that despite all the hits he made, he is not respected in hip hop like Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick had to “Tuck a Sensitive Rapper Back in his Pajama Clothes…” (if you don’t get it look it up for an Easter egg)
Drake is low IQ. He lacks comprehension.
Yes.. intellectually he doesn't even come close to kendrick. But his huge ego and the deep seated jealousy that he has towards kendrick gassed him up and he thought that he can take him down. 🤣 like you got a half an info and thought you can take down someone like KENDRICK out of all people he could beef with? He had it coming tbh
Drake went full JahRule.
You NEVER go full, JahRule...
Plus the fact that Drake is just a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude
@@LtheDetectivemultiple dudes at that
Not even a submission, this was tapping to strikes.
Facts. The dear baby girl has a bit of universal appeal and messaging.
Drake is such a flipflopper, he even flipped from being MJ to being Prince like dude... You are DRAKE! Deal with it
Right 😂😂 He ditched MJ after comparing himself to MJ for years!!
😂😂😂😂he is AUBREY..
its like the kirk lazurus scene at the end of tropic thunder. "the dudes are emerging" lol.
“Off-White sun seeker at the Marina” entendres galore at Drake
Another great review. Drake has always lacked substance, Kendrick just had the skills to properly shine a light on Drake's lack of depth.
Took out Drake, the 👻writers, top crewmembers and the 🦉 logo. Defused that Family Matters 💣 like 007 😂

Ya that was one of the funnier parts of the battle when k dot called drake out making gunna look like a saint, then kendrick says he a pdfile and drakes like "oh where the snitch reciepts?" Like na dude he said you like kids, that's what makes gunna look like a saint
why is drake worried about looking like a snitch anyway? he never did a crime before the fame fr
@@kjmartin815 because he wanted to distract from being into kids
No, Kendrick was saying if he starts talking what he knows, it would make Gunna look like a saint. He wasn’t calling Drake a snitch, and the pdf line had nothing to do with Gunna.
@@PatienceLove I didn't say any of the things you disagree with
"We need a no-debated West Coast victory" "Drop and give me 50"... lol
No debate lmfao
Im convinced Drake really is on pills or something because there's no other way to explain why he made so many poor and senseless decisions in the battle, its embarrassing from beginning to end. And notice the Mals, Aks, Gillies, Games and Camerons who really think he did his thing all come across as weird, mental, and insufferable ah as well about it. Like they're under a spell or something, its wild. Drake exposed himself and so many others, and will continue to do so for years to come.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yesssss!!! There is too much executive dysfunction on that side for them to be sober 😩

Its basically a modern retelling of Pinocchio
Kendrick is calling Kendrick a fake who’s trying to be something he is not because he was rejected by his dad
Joel Osteen was not in AI or The Sixth Sense btw, that was Haley Joel Osment. Joel Osteen is a tv pastor that was accused of using ghostwriters and ai. Kendrick mixed their names - Joel
Hale Osteen - to go with the theme of being confused about who he’s battling
kdot is calling *drake* a fake
@@ElijahMCMalik yeah
Facts🔥
Went from Drop Drop Drop to Stop Stop Stop 😂😂
Its brilliant ! All 4 of kendricks disses are great. And im whiter than powdered sugar!

In hindsight it's so clear Kendrick already heard "Family Matters" pre Euphoria... Or he has heard some of the contents in it
I wonder who sent it to him...and really who supplied Ken with all the info throughout the beef

You are spot on about the gunna line.
i thought so too
"Am I battlin' ghost or AI" was a mix of two people. That's why he said Joel Osteen instead of Joel Osment. Joel Osteen was a fake preacher who used ghostwriters and AI to write his sermons. And also Joel Osment was in a movie called Sixth Sense and A.I. He was talking about more than one person here but comparing them to Drake.
kendrick telling drake to take ayuasca is the best bar to me. "your soul is cooked, better hit the spiritual reset button"
Drakes diss tracks all sounded the same. Even the raps all sound the same , If you even listen to his albums it's so generic, it lacks creativity , it's passive it just seems like microwave stuff , you consume it once and dispose it after. Like most crunk music back then
Best I ever heard him was on the snl skit and obviously the snl team wrote those lines

How can you wish for a battle just based on wordplay and wit when the words do not come from Drakes brain? Drake takes the L from every angle.
Honestly, I'm more incline to believe what Kenny said about Drake than the other way around. Simply because:
1) Drizzy's a known liar
2) all Drizzy's shots were misconceptions based on topics Kenny's already discussed at length on numerous songs and projects but mostly on Mr Morale
3) there's more public info on Aubrey being a weirdo and clear evidence of Drake not really respecting or understanding black culture in the US

He slapped Sonic Rings out that yellow Ninja
Oh there's definitely some Drake disses at the beginning of 6:16 in LA. "Off white Sunseeker at the marina" Off white (Drake biracial) Sunseeker is a company that sells yachts, they have a model called Predator (makes sense after MTG) At the marina = at them arenas (Drakes tour stops were at arenas). So that bar translated is Kendrick saying, its a biracial predator at them arenas. Had to do some research on that bar
Kendrick was like "Drake lemme show you the difference between studio gangstas and real street dudes" And then Drake died of embarrassment😂😂😂
