Just catching up with your vlog! Thanks for sharing about how you've gone back and made changes to previous makes, it's something we definitely don't talk about enough. The period pads sounds like a great initiative too. Thanks for shouting out Surrey Sews, always lovely to see you!
The Pachamama project are an excellent charity to sew for. I've been supporting them for about 6 months & they always acknowledge receiving my pads and tell me where they're sending them. As you said, it's a hugely important subject and it also feels good to do a selfless sew. X
Thanks, Tania, excellent video! I'm Catherine (@mountain sewing) and I am so thankful that you mentioned it. Also, I'm from Canada. 😂 I don't work for Treasured Vessels but I love this charity. You're right, there's so many GREAT charities to sew for. Thanks again, you're so sweet.❤
Those are really great sanitary pads Tanya and so good to talk about period poverty. We put a basket of reusable sanitary pads in all our youth centres and they need replenishing regularly. I think if girls are eligible for free school meals they should have free sanitary wear too. These problems keep girls away from education and can really put them at a huge disadvantage to their peers… my rant topic too 🤣🤣
You're right, and some schools do give them away but lots of girls are still too embarrassed to ask for them. What a great idea to give away free pads, great work Julie 💜
Yes went onto Legend textiles after watching Sam and very pleased with my first order. Just placed a second one this afternoon. Looking forward to seeing your plans come together 💜
Thanks for the suggestion, I think a peplum would be too much combined with the big collar but it's OK, I'm finding ways to wear it as it is. Thanks for watching

That's fantastic to hear, it's great to discover new charities and the amazing work that they do. Well done for supporting them x
Great to hear your passion for period poverty you've prompted me to have a look for campaigns in Ireland, where I live, that I can contribute to
Fantastic, there's sure to be a charity running a campaign x

Love that collar on you - the pads project sounds amazing too! Will definitely be making some of those xx
Also, gorgeous Lyra!
Hi Sarah, thank you! The collar was a new style for me but glad I tried it x
You sound like a great teacher! Thanks for the info.

Hi Tanya. I love that lavender 💜 color of your top. That is so sweet of your subscribers to visit your etsy shop.

Brilliant, it's a great website! Enjoy your fabrics 🌟
I worked with Days for Girls and here in Charleston we have The period Pixies. Such a good cause.
They sound like great causes 🌟
Could you add a band to the bottom of the lavender top to lengthen?
Thanks, I had considered it but I've found ways to wear it now 😊
Maybe add a peplum to your top?
