how to cut holes with a welding machine

  • just a short clip of some rod burning, 250 amps 3mm 6010 punching holes in 8in wide, 3/8th thick channel iron. enjoy!

      glad ya liked it. just a little trick to making holes without having to use a drill/torch

    That worked out good I've cut that way a few times and toasted the rod but never cut a hole , thats better than a torch , stay safe. TANK

    I do that with my mig all the time!!! But it's not in as thick of metal and I'm not trying!!! Welding rusty metal BLOWS!!!!

      ahahaha, yeah welding sheetmetal like u have is tricky. never ran a mig i only use stick welders. ive had good luck welding sheetmetal with 6010/6013 and 7018 so eh its not too bad. last time i did that was when the door handles on my truck broke, the metal that holds the hinge actually tore apart so they wouldnt work anymore but i got tht fixed.
