It’s convenient to have the charging cable attached with the smaller footprint for some situations. I don’t know for certain though as I haven’t tried them out.
@ConfusedNRI well I don't know how to turn off mine it's always in a standby mode... The digital screen just goes off.. But when I connect anything or press the button the digital screen comes on... I don't think it goes completely off... Even if I press and hold the button

Yes Both devices has button which let it turn off.
