The Bears OL was not horrible heading into this season. Even PFF had them ranked in the top half of the league. And then you have the best receiving group in football... get the runningback isn't amazing but it's serviceable. As usual, the Bears are going to kill another QB. They have tried to bring a familiar offense to the Golden Boy Caleb from his USC days.. and guess what? It doesn't work. You can't just run 3 man WR sets in the NFL these days and assume your QB will have 3-4 seconds EVERY drop back to throw the ball. You watch the routes the Bears are running most of the time, they are LONG drawn out routes... and yes it CAN work but it has to be a) setup by the run (we call this... PLAYACTION), b) done by a QB who the opposing team has respect for.
Yeah, Patrick Mahomes sat for a year and he did not play the way he plays now when he first started. If you watch the video you see that the O-line is horrible the play calling is atrocious and the running backs rushed for next to nothing. Not even Patrick Mahomes can win in those conditions. You can’t put all the blame on a Rookie Quarterback! The Texans are also a playoff team with a good defense. If this happened against the Carolina Panthers then I would be very worried if I was a Bears fan.
Anyone thinking Williams was going into that mess up in Chicago and turn them around immediately. It’s his rookie season. Just keeping his head on right and not getting hurt should be the top goals for the guy. If he ca. make it into year two without his confidence shattered is the most important thing. On top of everything else the guy has been there less than a month.
Pressure percentage alone is a dumb stat. Because the O-Line was not actually THAT bad. The average time the protection holds is I think 2.2 seconds and they gave him far more than that on many plays. He is just too slow at processing and is used to have forever to decide. He is 100% a bust as the things that are wrong with him (processing, accuracy) can not be easily fixed
The last great Bears' qb was Sid Luckman. 7 1/2 decades, or so, of qb struggles. Again, as a Packers's fan FROM 1962, (when I was born), So I've paid my dues throughout the '70's & '80's, I don't hate the Bears, I'm just asking about the unsolved riddles of the Bear's qb struggles. We'll see how things go though, Caleb Williams is still a rookie after all. He should improve. Jordan LOVE wasn't necessarily ready in year 1, or 2 so......we'll see.
This happens every time a star qb gets drafted. They go number 1 hence they go to flawed teams. They couldn't fix everything in 1 season. I'm not a bears fan whatsoever btw, but people flip out way to quick
The offensive line was never addressed in the off season and until the Bears fix the O line Caleb is going to be running for his life and will end up not making any strides . I blame Ryan Poles if this kid ends up being a bust .
Texans fan and all of the Bears fans said they were going to out play CJ STROUD. Boy was they wrong on that we have one of the best defense in the NFL. TEXANS SWARM GO TEXANS
Somebody left a response, that the Bears still have a lot of money to spend! According to what I just researched, The Bears have just a little under $8 million left under the current cap! That is absolutely not an option!
Everyone is over reacting hard to this because of all the off season hype, it's dumb. It's a rookie QB, new OC and system, new starting RB so these are the growing pains of finding out what they can and can't do. If it's like this in week 6 then yeah, it's panic time. CW isn't playing hero ball, if you're saying that, you're not watching the tape, CW is staying in the pocket, working through his progressions and yeah he's made some rookie mistakes but he's not bailed on a pocket that's held up to try and be something more. CW is trying to be an actual QB not a RB posing as a QB. CW needs to work on his footwork and quit over/under throwing his receivers. There's a lot of communication errors and the timing is off between CW and his receivers because it's now the regular season and the speed of the game has picked up. As far as JF goes, anyone who thinks they'd be better off with him hasn't watched him play this season. JF still holds on to the ball to long, stares down his receivers, can't read a defense, bad mechanics, slow release, can't (or doesn't try to) work through progressions causing him to bail on the pocket even if it's still holding up, doesn't call audibles and can't make o-line protection adjustments. JF is only starting because Wilson is hurt and Tomlin gave JF the basic rookie playbook, if your first read isn't there, take off and run and don't turn the ball over.
we've said this the last 10 years. everyone was blaming the QB every year and its always been the Oline. Brady and mahomes couldnt do shit on the bears. Everyone talked shit about cutler and that dude threw picks cause he kept trying to make something happen way too quick. It's been the main problem for a decade. Im still not on the Caleb train but hes got no chance right now.
Great breakdown of Caleb Williams' struggles so far! But do you think it’s more on the offensive line or on Caleb himself for holding the ball too long? Could the Bears have made a mistake drafting him instead of fixing their O-line first?
It's a traditional and unbreakable rule, Chicago Bears football and good QB's are never in the same place. They ALWAYS find a way to ruin their careers. As long as I've lived, Chicago has NEVER had a consistently good QB. Williams will be one of the worst when this story is done.
Not getting DJ Moore involved? DJ Moore was plenty involved at one point they had to give them a swing screen manufactured. DJ Moore is nor involved because Moore couldn’t break coverage from Derek Stingley who had him completely locked down the entire game.
Do the Bears even HAVE a qb coach??? WHY did EVERYBODY get blamed for Justin Fields' issues EXCEPT his position coach??? I asked a Bear's fan about this, he told me that the Bears do have a qb coach, but he couldn't tell me his name!!! Now, if the Bears DO INDEED have a qb coach, and NOBODY knows who TF he is, well, he should be fired. I'm a Packer's fan "saying" this!!! BTW, the Packers' qb coach's name is TOM CLEMMENTS. I probably misspelled his last name, but anybody can look it up.
Everyone thought I was stupid for saying Williams wasn’t NFL ready. The offensive line isn’t great, but Williams biggest weakness is playing within structure. He would often run around until his receivers were open in college. That doesn’t translate to the NFL. Honesty, getting an “injury” and sitting out for a decent amount of weeks would be the best thing for him.
This pisses me off, DJ called it before the draft, "No one in the draft is better than JF1, I had faith in him however I get it, but keep fields put CW at 3rd string battling his way up to start, because they will get CW hurt and then it will be the Bagent show. Get the line right or kiss CW goodbye either that or beg Justin back 😂
Not going to have to punt much this year hugh? Remember the RG3 the Andrew luck hype, Ryan leaf? this is strikingly similar! It’s not going to get better either, average defenses are going to look awesome against them and theyed be lucky to win 5 games this year.
I think 🤔 people hating on caleb are not being for real this is Caleb 2nd game in his rookie season and and i would be fine it we kept justin or get Caleb and people who understand the business knows why they traded justin because if they kept him they would have to paid him daniel jones money how is that working out for the giants now Caleb has to play better nobody is arguing that i think he will figure it out cj stroud season was anomaly last year and while i am happy for justin doing well in pittsburgh but let's not act like he doing all that much better At the end of the day caleb is a rookie no matter how much hype is around him that doesn't change the fact all rookies struggle go look at peyton mannning rookie season it does take time and ryan poles will hopefully find a way to get this line at least decent like they were towards the end of the year in 2023
@CorneilusGreen look at how many greats had horrible rookie seasons I never said caleb was the savior I knew it would take time for caleb to develop and as far justin it was not his fault for everything the oline still was bad but justin was responsible for some of the bad plays as well
Too much hype on Caleb. Caleb is a rookie QB. He needs to get the O Line in sync. If this continues, Caleb will get hurt. Try to establish the running game.
My opinion if we don't get a good offensive line we will lose our QB and finish with a bad record. I do not see a run game again without an oline to get push. This oline is the worst ive seen.
Caleb is gonna get better…..CREATIVITY is non existent in the Bears playbook. If I was a defensive coordinator, I would completely demolish the Bears with those weak ass ABC 123 offensive play calls

I'm not a sports betting guy but I like your content because its proven to be fun, engaging, informed, and controversial.
"Next coming or Patrick Mahomes" my ass
They should of listened to Moore and kept Fields...smh
Stop the aggressive pass rush by hitting reads much sooner. This is a common of both Williams and the OC
I've been dragged for saying Caleb is a taller, less accurate Russell Wilson that can't get past his first progression, but am I wrong?
If no one is open down the field, then run the ball or throw the ball out of the pocket, so you don't get sacked or pressured by the opposing D-line.
“King” Poles is the gen. Matt Milan. 😂
I'm sick of stupid people talking shit about Caleb, look at how he's running for his life.
Great video, encourage others, keep grinding, keep it up, and keep your head up when life brings you down.
The more powerful Roschon with 2 te and 2 wr sets would probably work
Somebody left a response, that the Bears still have a lot of money to spend!
O man loving these videos 😂 been calling u bozos out since day 1. Chicago is where QBs go to die.
They got no one to develop this kid. They got no o line or no run game. To expect this kid to succeed is ridiculous.
Just happy we got Jayden
we've said this the last 10 years. everyone was blaming the QB every year and its always been the Oline. Brady and mahomes couldnt do shit on the bears. Everyone talked shit about cutler and that dude threw picks cause he kept trying to make something happen way too quick. It's been the main problem for a decade. Im still not on the Caleb train but hes got no chance right now.
Speaking of Patrick Mahomes Caleb said there is nothing Pat does that he cant do...in the NFL
Will Levis is The Bears MVP so far this season.
Worst O line vs worst rushing D in the Colts, on Sunday. Someone’s time to shine and someone’s time to stink even more.
Nobody deserves to fail more than Caleb Williams.
It’s his 2nd game, nothing to worry about except that o-line
It’s ridiculous to hound a rookie quarterback after two games. Not to mention the guy is running for his life out there.
CW gonna sit on the bench if Poles doesn't fix our Oline
Great breakdown of Caleb Williams' struggles so far! But do you think it’s more on the offensive line or on Caleb himself for holding the ball too long? Could the Bears have made a mistake drafting him instead of fixing their O-line first?
Both and coaching. Poles deserves blame too
God bless you and your family and friends too.
It's a traditional and unbreakable rule, Chicago Bears football and good QB's are never in the same place. They ALWAYS find a way to ruin their careers. As long as I've lived, Chicago has NEVER had a consistently good QB. Williams will be one of the worst when this story is done.
The zoom in to that interception was just what I needed. 1:14
Easy with the dramatic title, you have a QB who stands out only because he came from a mediocre draft class. You have what you have.
Quick passes and screen passes to open your play book to make big plays on the biggest stage of your life.
Not getting DJ Moore involved? DJ Moore was plenty involved at one point they had to give them a swing screen manufactured. DJ Moore is nor involved because Moore couldn’t break coverage from Derek Stingley who had him completely locked down the entire game.
too early to tell how his career will turn out, but I have my doubts about him and had them well before the season began.
As a rookie no matter what position in the NFL that you are going to make mistakes but learn from it. No one is perfect but Only God is.
All that hype is NEVER these kids faults. Scouts can't scout.
They need an O-Line if he can’t perform after that then it’s on him
this isn't College bro this is the NFL bro
Sorry, were sticking with him. Put a line together and quit rotating guys. Develop your players and a team, please.
Honesty, getting an “injury” and sitting out for a decent amount of weeks would be the best thing for him.
you still are he is pro ready if he has protection he needs to be more accurarate but thats about it he runs because their is noone blocking for him
You definitely didn’t watch his games at all
@@MielzD I absolutely did.
@@rodiperez7918 He still struggles to play within structure or throw with anticipation.
The Chicago Bears are ALWAYS in big trouble. Worst place to go as a QB.
He has the 6th quickest release this week...
This pisses me off, DJ called it before the draft, "No one in the draft is better than JF1, I had faith in him however I get it, but keep fields put CW at 3rd string battling his way up to start, because they will get CW hurt and then it will be the Bagent show. Get the line right or kiss CW goodbye either that or beg Justin back 😂
1-1 doesn't = big trouble. They'll be fine
The o line played horrible both games. Offense scored 9 total points. Shit needs to get better now
It’s only been 2 weeks. He’ll be fine
People said Caleb was gonna be the savior
Not going to have to punt much this year hugh? Remember the RG3 the Andrew luck hype, Ryan leaf? this is strikingly similar! It’s not going to get better either, average defenses are going to look awesome against them and theyed be lucky to win 5 games this year.
Tom brady would have had a losing record with the bears..
I think 🤔 people hating on caleb are not being for real this is Caleb 2nd game in his rookie season and and i would be fine it we kept justin or get Caleb and people who understand the business knows why they traded justin because if they kept him they would have to paid him daniel jones money how is that working out for the giants now
Caleb has to play better nobody is arguing that i think he will figure it out cj stroud season was anomaly last year and while i am happy for justin doing well in pittsburgh but let's not act like he doing all that much better
At the end of the day caleb is a rookie no matter how much hype is around him that doesn't change the fact all rookies struggle go look at peyton mannning rookie season it does take time and ryan poles will hopefully find a way to get this line at least decent like they were towards the end of the year in 2023
But you guys said Caleb would be the savior and it was all Fields fault
@CorneilusGreen look at how many greats had horrible rookie seasons I never said caleb was the savior I knew it would take time for caleb to develop and as far justin it was not his fault for everything the oline still was bad but justin was responsible for some of the bad plays as well
Too much hype on Caleb. Caleb is a rookie QB. He needs to get the O Line in sync. If this continues, Caleb will get hurt. Try to establish the running game.
prior to this, it was all blamed on JF. HAHAHAHAHA!
My opinion if we don't get a good offensive line we will lose our QB and finish with a bad record. I do not see a run game again without an oline to get push. This oline is the worst ive seen.
Real question who better Jayden Daniels or Caleb?
Caleb is gonna get better…..CREATIVITY is non existent in the Bears playbook. If I was a defensive coordinator, I would completely demolish the Bears with those weak ass ABC 123 offensive play calls
Come on lol it’s too early to judge a player. 2 games in as a pro player. He will get better. I thought his second half was decent. He has everything in him but we will see game by game. Online time will tell
He probably bets the under on his passing yardage. He look like the type who would.
It's only week 3!
i feel like the qb doesnt make it or break it tho
Two games, oc didn't call a good game. No safety valves te and Allen was missing.
Williams didn't have enough time to hold the ball too long!
My guess is they made that stat for the few times he had time to throw.
Love how ppl think cause a team went 4 - 0 in preseason that there gana b good lol
Da Bears can't run either cuz the Oline gets plowed, literally!
he did not look great in the preseason . he never played the other teams starting unit only went up against the 2s and 3s and still only lead 1 td in 7 drives .
We just need an Oline, and we'll do better.
I think it’d be great if fields succeeds while the arrogant nail painter fails
