Followed from the beginning and Sailor sleeve framed on my wall. The first five albums superb - you missed Your Saving Grace which includes that favourite track. Fly Like An Eagle and Book of Dreams have fine tracks, that's it for me. He is a great survivor and still knocks 'em out!
Brave new world is definitely my favorite of the early Steve Miller bands albums a psych rock blues masterpiece and I don't mind the abracadabra album to and macho city is definitely pretty unique and kind of cool and saves a lackluster album from total obscurity
The only Steve Miller albums I own are Anthology and The Joker. That one song you couldn't pronounce from the latter has a really rocking guitar swell toward the end. You make me curious about his 60s albums. Did you know Steve plays on at least one song on McCartney's Flaming Pie (1997)? Great video
I can see it in my mind's eye, Christopher Walken belting out "I've got a fever for Macho City!" a-la 'More cowbell'. Love that song!
You nailed it with Brave New World. My choice as best SMB, as well. Keep up the good work. Thanks!

Thanks. I did not know he played on McCartney record. Check out some of those 60s records! Sailor and Brave New World are where I'd start.
I’d recommend all the albums before Joker. I’m discovering them now
He’s legendary, right up there with Tom Petty.
