it's like the original game you got this minor "bosses" that are just stronger ghost whit personality like Neville and Lydia and the you got the major bosses whit the keys that unlock the other zones like Chauncey or bogmire
I love the symbolism of destroying the seats in the first part. Unlike his former glory days, he's a ghost now and no longer has an audience. Thus, there are no reasons for seats anymore.
I like how this is like a cross between LM1 bosses and LM2 bosses. A unique ghost with a unique personality like the portrait ghosts but possesses an object to fight you like the possessors.
This guy is actually scary, specially once you knock him out of his piano. His long arms and fingers don't help in that factor along with his hair sticking up. Wolfgeist also plays the boss capturing theme for when your catching the Goob Ballerinas and conducts his own capture theme. Very talented and scary boss.

I honestly loved this boss fight, being a pianist myself. Also from the analysis of the first trailer of the game, I hoped for a fight with a monster piano, and boy was I NOT disappointed!
This boss is probably one of the best I've fought so far. Just got to the Museum stage now, but I'd surprised if anything can top the amount of charm this boss has!

The only thing missing to me from this game is the little backstories in each boss ghost like in LM1, hinting how they died etc. they could have totally incorporated that in the gallery collection. That said, this is my favorite boss ghost so far. It brings back memories of Melody

This is the best boss fight in the game, not only that, but I would say one of my favorite boss fights I’ve played in any game. Super satisfying all around, love the bit where the spotlight shines on you, the piano drops down, and then flops over.
I have a headcanon of how he's died. I think he died of a heart attack by rage. He looks so poised and calm, but when the seats are gone, he goes berserk, becoming completely enraged. I've seen reports of people who died by having so much anger. I also have a theory that the ghosts in ballerina skirts that come by are his daughters or some students, just any child, but I don't have anything to back that up.
Nothing more impolite than not being in one's seat by the start of the performance. I love that he begins rather sforzando, before settling into piano, suddenly going molto vivace when Luigi grabs a ghost, then back again. Don't be impressed, I looked these terms up, I don't know nothing about musical terms. A very great battle, with lovely music and a classy exit from our Amadeus Wolfgeist here~
Just a great Boss. Possessing the Piano after the 1st warm up stage; love it! At least it's somewhat of a challenge aside from the total walkabout of the rest of the main game. One of my favorites

I wouldn’t say the best boss but yeah this fight is amazing varied and unique attacks great music brimming with charm and personality this fight is truly a ghoul of a great fight
I’d say it’s second to the Shark boss on 12f imo. I love that one two, and at least that one didn’t have the weird aiming. I mean it did but it wasn’t as bad. I just really liked the intensity of both of these fights but I’d have to go with 12f only by a little.
@@vandaaniel3475 on my part, I'd put the shark secound and the pianist first. first things to compare are their vessels (the boat and the piano): I agree having the entire arena as your vesse is a plus for the shark ... but his attacks are always the same, trying to eat Luigi while minions throw barrels for the phases 1 and 2 and ... doing nothing for the phase 3 (except twice when luigi is hanging over the big mouth) while for the piano, you have to avoid to be crush if it jumps, you have to avoid the projectiles, and you have to throw bombs only if the piano is open and once the ghost gets expeled from it vessel, the pianist is easies to catch but he has this creepy hand and music notes attacks plus teleportation while the shark has only a patern like "attack, fail, catch me"

Start to 1:26 is Phase 1. Strategy for this phase is just avoiding the chairs thrown at you. 1:27 to 2:37 Phase 2. Suck off the masks the Goops wear and suck to capture them. 2:38 to the end is 3rd Final Phase of the fight. Avoid the Piano that attempts to crush you and flash him. Then launch a bomb back in the piano, and attempt to catch him. Do this same strategy for another 2 or 3 attempts and you beat him.
Fact: my mans amadeus' temper is based off of Beethoven. Beethoven used to get so angry that he'd throw chairs and even entire instruments at people. Get this man a hug and some anger management classes.

Sorry if i looked too deep into this...
Probably my favorite boss of the game! This multiple phase fight is the best one I've ever saw. Really disappointed that all bosses fight aren't like that (DJ Phantasmagloria is way too easy while Dr.Potter is annoyingly hard for nothing).
When I first encountered him I thought he would be like the other ghosts that were just stronger versions of other ghosts, boy was I wrong loved this fight
Is it just me or is this fight VERY similar to the DJ grooves/conductor boss fight in a hat in time? They attack where we’ll the keys fly out is like when all the knives fly out and the piano hitting the ground and making a shockwave is like the disco ball hitting the ground? Even the lights on the ceiling fall down like they do in the one in a hat in time.

The piano from Mario 64 was just trying to jump scare you if you come near, it’s trying to kill you but otherwise easily avoidable as long as you stay away. This piano was also trying to kill you, except it’s going all aggressive against you and you literally have to destroy it. Definitely scarier than Mario 64 piano

It's kinda odd how he's fought early in the game but has like 3 different phases and 450 HP which is more than almost every other ghost in the game.
Yeah, Amadeus had a notable steep in difficulty compared to the other Boss Ghosts. He is certainly not a pushover.

Probably my favorite boss of the game! This multiple phase fight is the best one I've ever saw. Really disappointed that all bosses fight aren't like that (DJ Phantasmagloria is way too easy while Dr.Potter is annoyingly hard for nothing).

The one thing this boss fight needed was an opera penned and composed by grant kirkhope.
I can respect this boss for paying tribute to the evil piano from Super Mario 64.

When I first encountered him I thought he would be like the other ghosts that were just stronger versions of other ghosts, boy was I wrong loved this fight
Is it just me or is this fight VERY similar to the DJ grooves/conductor boss fight in a hat in time? They attack where we’ll the keys fly out is like when all the knives fly out and the piano hitting the ground and making a shockwave is like the disco ball hitting the ground? Even the lights on the ceiling fall down like they do in the one in a hat in time.
I love how its hinted that he possesses his instruments on the posters outside the room.
Something I never got was Luigi is able to pull a heavy piano off a stage but not a couch on floor 5

Jesus christ, the piano from SM64 was *NOTHING* compared to this thing.
The piano from Mario 64 was just trying to jump scare you if you come near, it’s trying to kill you but otherwise easily avoidable as long as you stay away. This piano was also trying to kill you, except it’s going all aggressive against you and you literally have to destroy it.
Definitely scarier than Mario 64 piano

Nintendo knew what they were doing when they made you fight a piano. Older gamers were really triggered.
I think it is a missed opportunity that he didn’t play the poltergeist theme from the second game.
