  • A wildcamp on the summit of Ben Hiant , the highest mountain on The Ardnamurchan Peninsula in the West of Scotland. Outstanding views for not much effort.

      Perfect weather for it with almost no wind or midges. Outstanding views for not a lot of effort and I think I will be back sometime.

    Very nice , an ideal hill top camp if there is no wind . An ancient volcano 🌋 I believe near here .Can see it on a satellite image .

      Thanks. It was difficult to get the drone flying here due to it being volcanic rock and causing compass errors.

      @@TheTrekpete oh yes I had that issue at Point of Ardnamurchan with my drone nearby a few years ago . I did not think of that!

      Better of a spot. Pain to get to on miles of single track road. Would never have guessed it would probably be my last summit camp!

      Fairly easy hike. No climbing involved. Well worth a walk for the outstanding views.
