Found this amp for 10 bucks at a Goodwill. Best thrift store find ever.
Holy hell you hit the jackpot
That is unbelievable now I have to buy one for £65
Dude, you're a fucking hero.
@@harrybranston4112 a brand new one on Amazon cost 50 dollars
You scored big time
I have been using this amp for 2 years and it is a great amp
Isaac_musicYT would you say its loud enough to play alongside a drum set in a garage?
Ignacio Torres if you crank it up to 8 yes
put a speaker switch on the back and run it thru a 2x12 cab and you might have a chance
ISAAC does it get allot of speaker hiss at that volume? What about at full gain?
was it good for on stage?
I have one of these. Bought it to play small bar gigs when on holiday and needed something I could pack into my suitcase. Not only is it hollow so you can pack stuff into the cab in your bag, it also happens to be an awesome sounding amp, clean or dirty - AND it will take pedals well. Vox, you just delivered a tiny monster amp. Best kept secret out there...
Thanks for all your demo videos on budget gear. I'm new to electric guitars and your videos have helped me decide what gear to get. Going with a used Squier Strat and a Vox Pathfinder 10 Amp. Now to learn me some riffs!

Every other practice amp on God's green Earth: RUDE
I've had mine for 14 years and it's still going strong. Bought it way back when I was a Private in the Army and wanted a smaller amp for in the barracks but didn't have a lot of money. Fell in love immediately. Wish I had it back in college when I played in the Jazz ensemble.
This amp wasn't around 14 yrs ago 😂😂😂

I moved into a smaller room and my Peavey Classic and TKO are moving to my garage. I'm considering one of these for my room. Good review!
I’m waiting for mine to arrive tomorrow and I am trying to contain myself my binge watching videos w this amp >.
What is ur opinion so far? Are u enjoying it?

I have one of these and I love it so much. It sounds real good all by itself. Turn it up and it overdrives so cool. It takes pedals if you got em and sounds fantastic. I've been amazed at how loud it is and how full it sounds. And Dagon this might be the best demo you done. I think this one sold me on it and it's a bargain too. You are a fun dude and everybody loves a dude. Or they should. I'm gonna go crank my pathfinder 10.
Great review, thank you
I know this is an old demo but I just finally got a guitar after 2 years and was searching for a practice amp and ordered this Vox Pathfinder 10 off Amazon and then saw a Randall KH15 at the local music store and it sounds great so I bought it for $60 used. Then the Pathfinder 10 arrived today just after I bought the Randall KH15 and I decided to plug it in to try it before I sent it back (because I already know had a practice amp) but holy crap! The sound of the pathfinder 10 is so damn good. Now I’m keeping both. The Randall for my Metal tones and the Vox for my cleans and British Rock. My little bedroom rig is awesome now! Great little amp I highly recommend. I was surprised at the sound of the distortion too! It’s incredible for a freaking 6 inch speaker. Insane.
Good review! Thanks!
I bought one of these years ago on the recommendation of Alanis Morrisette's guitar player. I ended up using it for all the guitars when I produced Epitaph/Hell Catt records band Time Again, most of the guitars you hear on their debut EP are the Vox Pathfinder through an SM57 It was also used Extensively on Cargo Records re-issue of the Classic BMG/Americoma record "Rock and Roll Must Be Destroyed" by Seminal Glam-Punk band Flash Bastard. For Punk, Old school Rock n' Roll, Johnny Thunders type guitar, this amp is an excellent choice, I ever perfer it over tube amps quite often. The thing to be remembered in selecting an amp is not how good it sounds to you while you play alone, but how well that amp can deliver what you are looking for in the context of a mix. THAT is where this amp shines, it's aggressive edge pokes through at around 800-900 Hz, it's fullness is above 200 Hz, those familiar with recording will know already that those are frequency ranges that don't step on bass/drums/or vocals, this amp mixes the guitar for you. In my books, this is no practice amp, its a recording amp. But the sound is probably too raw for most genres if you play anything close to metal this amp will be useless too you, if you play modern rock or use a lot of FX, don't waste your money, But If like Keith Richards, Johhny Thunders, Steve Jones, Cheeta Chrome, Ace Frehley or play garage/punk/glam/50's style rock n' roll, this amp is worth a look, I'll reiterate my point however: If you play anything other than raw rock n' roll, you won't like this amp.
great mic choice ! I mix mine with my Marshall CF10 or Peavey Rage 158 or Blackstar IDcore 10, depending on what is best for the song. But thats just me working from my house
We didnt need an essay dude
Still intresting though
@@theramchepser7644 Actually, some of us appreciate it. It's weird you would even comment. Just don't read it and move on.

thanks man! it really does sound awesome and cheap as chips!
This VOX is the best $89.99 I have ever spent. It's my favorite amp to play with. My main rig is an Orange CR120 but this VOX PF10 is still my favorite one to play. I pair it with a "WayHuge" Green Rhino Overdrive pedal. Its unbelievable the sound that comes out of this little amp.
Yep.
I know it's been three years but do you remember where you bought it? It's 110 USD on amazon right now
@@ibrahima3723you could get a used one for like 40-60ish bucks
I feel like everything sounds amazing when Dagan plays it.
i´ve own an AC30c2 for almost one year now, and i get to say that this is the closes you can get for under 100USD, super good amp i´ll get one just to gift it to my GF coz she really likes my tone.
Had this amp for years, when I first bought and didn’t know much about amps, guitar, different sound etc. So I didn’t think much of it but years down the line I appreciate it a lot more! Great amp very versatile. For someone who is a massive fan of The Beatles and Nirvana it manages them just fine hahaha
I like the way u review the amps and guitars you're also a good guitar player...keep it up dagan..😁😁😁
Excellent practice amps!
I loved mine so much that I decided to get an AC30 C2, which was underwhelming, to say the least. It's gone, but I still have the Pathfinder.
You really like Queen, that's a good choice 👌🏻
Clean sounds soo good on a Stratocaster single coil
Just bought this amp and love it. Great for practicing at home or in the studio. My Explorer sounds amazing through it. Way to go Vox!!
Recently bought one. Enjoying it. Couple of peculiarities though: no reverb function, and massive volume shift, I mean massive, with the overdrive button. Might take a bit of getting used to.
Also, no line-in function...
I've had the bass version for years and its awesome. Just bought the guitar version for my bro
It's a killer little amp. lover it.
RADIO FLITE RC loverrrrrrr
I need a bit of help, I bought this amp on sweetwater and I'm from Philippines. Some pathfinders have 110v on them but mine has 120v. I'm just a little confused on what transformer I should buy.
@@nowhereman1621 best bet is call Sweetwater.
hey can someone help me out?
i can't decide b/w this and a marshall mg15cf, i wanna a get one that gives a good tone when routed through a multi effects processor.
That little guy rocks a good thing🤘
Nah, I popped the Fender tone stack in it, placed an external speaker jack on it with switch and also a switch to by-pass the low cut cap. Then I got a Jensen 10/35 8Ohm (10", 35w) and made an external cab. What a blast!! Sounds so much more amazing. Actually a 15w amp module.
Just love that vox sound !
thanks bro watching from philippines
Great name
God I love analogue. Digital gives you more options, but there's just something to the knobs directly changing things for your tone without emulation!
I also found mine for 10 bucks used at a moving sale..this amp surprised the shit out of me...it is punchy as hell for a solid state amp...more punchy than I EVER got any tube amp to be. I used it live in place of my Marshall JCM2000 DSL 100...to keep it safe more than anything from drunks etc. I plugged a cord in the line out/headphone jack asent the signal to a power amp into my cabinet for more wattage....it sounded just as good as the Marshall...it works great with a strat and Tele also...its a great buy
Dagon I wish I knew what settings you were using. Doesn't matter. Man u make that little amp rock like a mutha. I'm close to getting another one or one for bass. Or both. I'll just get all of them and buy all the 15's that I can find. Happy Holidays! Rock on!
Hi, Thanks for the video. It's still interesting and funny. I'd like to know your opinion. If you had to make a choose, do you think it would be better gettig a Vox Pathfinder 10 with and multiple effects pedal like a Zoom G1x four for exemple (a little amp with an external multieffect pedal then), or a Vox vt20x (a better amp with integrated effects...) ? Thanks. ;)
Gotta get one of these :)
Somebody please help me with this one! I live in Brazil and gear is absurdly expensive here, I'm between this Pathfinder or the Orange Crush 12 for a bedroom amp. Any thoughts?
Looking to get one here in Japan. I travel with a VOX AC2 Rhythm box. But I can get a nice deal for the 10 here in Japan, and take home. anyway, I am here for one year and want to enjoy it now!
Got it from SHIMAMURA music here in Japan, for US$55! Yes! $55! Takes the pedals beautifully!
All the queen songs made me smile. Thanks
Bought one, no regrets 😁😁
I like this guy.
Hello. How do you compare this to a boss katana mini. they are the same price.
I pulled the amp and built it a new box with a 12" Celestion I had. Sounds very nice
No reverb but it sounds great I bought one for my guitar teacher to up grade his student amp.
what if i replace the speaker with a 15 watt one? what changes do i have to do with the amplifier itself?
No you won’t have to change anything so long as the new speaker is 8 ohms (16 ohms is usable but will cut you volume)
Love the clean followed by those power chords. So cool. I just heard someone doing S.R.V. on it and it was nice for that too. And not a lot of doe either. just sayin. Rock On !
I am thinking about getting this or Vox AC2 Rythmvox, I am on the beginner level and would like to play rock and metal mostly. Any tips on choosing which one to go for?
The AC2 is a toy. This one is a real amp, even though it's on the small side, and solid state. 10 months later. What did you end up getting? A Marshall stack? :)
Great tone!!! What settings were you using?
I got one of these on my 14th birthday, 14 years ago.
Im looking for an amp that is above 10 watts but less than 20 watts and is cheap maybe around 100$. I just need an amp that specializes in clean sound
Could you review the bass version of this amp
can i connect the vox amp to my audio interface?
It is all the amp most people could ever need. The gain is decent, perhaps a bit thin, although that is most likely due to the small speaker. Great sound though, better than my Marshall MG10. It also has an often overlooked feature: the semi-open back with the plug inside so it doesn't stick out and get kinked
tHINKING OF BUYING ONE & UPHREADING SPEAKER TO AN EMINENCE 8" SPEAKER OR SIMILAR. ANYONE UPGREADE THER PSEAKER IN THESE?
Sold!
I've been using a 50W Marshall JCM800 combo indoors for metal, but it's such a shame to tie it down so much. The Vox Pacemaker looks ideal for the job, and I can reserve the Marshall for gigs.
Vox Pacemaker :D :D
Does this work well with multiple pedals?
Put a Celestion eight 15 speaker in this and it roars!
I'm stuck between the vox pathfinder 10 and the Blackstar Lt echo as a practice amp. I'm new to the world of electric guitars, and I've just purchased a Yamaha Pacifica to learn on. Out of the two, which one would you recommend the most?...
This was a cool comment because I want to buy a pacifica 012 and I'm confused between some amplifiers, stuck between ID Core 10 (I like the fact that I can model it online), the mustang V2 (Same thing as the ID core for modeling but fender fuse is gone so I have to download the software somewhere else) and this little boy Pathfinder 10, mind if I ask what did you pick later on?
This vs Blackstar Debut 15E?
would this be good for early Rory Gallagher stuff?
Sweet!
Which one's better? Fender's Mustang I V.2, Orange Micro Terror or Vox Pathfinder 10? For a bit for everything but essencially metal.
ViP.R LGND Micro Terror
So .. vox pathfinder 10 or blackstar fly 3 ?
Anyone knows if this sounds decent with an ac30 amplug?
You cant plug amplug to it since pathfinder doesnt have AUX in. I had both, both sound good
2:34 yeah
Should I get the Vox Pathfinder 10 or the Boss Katana Mini? Both can play Rock N' Roll and Heavy Metal. So I'm kinda unsure. Update: I bought neither and went for the Fender Mustang I V2. It sucks.
😂
i was between this and a marshall mg10 (the marshall is 40$ more) and i wanted it for a long time but ive seen more then a few baf reviews on the marshall and tbh i havnt seen 1 nrgative one for this amp and who dosent love a vox sound? but what tore me was the Distortion would of maybe been handeled better on a marshall? cause well its a marshall? what do u guys think, i feel i made the right choice.. it will be here tomorrow so ya, i ended up buying a fender frontman as my first amp and was very dissapointed with it lol, this vox sounds amazing im very ecited (for refrence i have a epiphone les paul 50s standard with pro buckers 1 and 2 for pickups, i feel a vox is perfect for that guitar but then again a les paul through a marshall is THE sound but this is a mg10 were talking here not a jcm lol
Is it good for hard metal like metalcore
Is the headphone jack the right size to plug headphones in or do you need an adapter?
You need an adapter
Good for studio? Good for studio with mods?
Will the speakers mute if I connect line/out to a mixer?
Yes

Hell yeah I was looking into this as I was thinking about getting a vox cuz brian may inspired me to play electric guitar "does it have the sound though?" Hell yeah it does

I bought one for my guitar teacher for Christmas because I was tired of the POS that he had for students. If it had reverb
I bought the Vox Mini G2 and that's well worth buying for teaching or practice as well, plus it's a modeling amp, etc. Also a Roland Mini Cube is an equally
good choice for this, but it's nearly $185 at most stores, so not as affordable.

Wtf ? It's a solid state combo amplifier !
It's almost as tiny as a kids lunch box and 10 watts.
I'm new to guitars and can you get a good 50/60's sound out of this? Thanks
I guess yeah
Vox is renowned for it's legendary sound from the 60's. It may be a small practice amp but if you want the 60's sound of The Beatles, or a heavier rock sound like Queen, Cream or Led Zepp this thing will certainly do it. And for the price it's a bargain.

1:15 u can do that only on that amp or others as well?
Ostariel Raekor it all depends which amp it is
Vox amps can do it mostly. But other amps you got to lower it until it's Almost off
Can it sounds like brian may's tone? Im sorry im still a newb to this
And also, which one's better : blackstar core 10 v2 or vox pathfinder 10?
It depends on what you want. Overall, I'd say the pathfinder, but the IDCore does have that super cool stereo system. The pathfinder has much better cleans and can take pedals very well. The blackstar sounds good for a modeling amp, but you shouldn't expect much because the sounds are all digitally created. This pathfinder is all analog, and provides superior tone.
@@faiqt7702 The first riff he played was Queen's "Hammer to Fall". I'd say Vox is your best path to sounding like Brian.
i love u my amp vox is cool
This of Orange Crush 12?
No doubt this one. But for distorted sounds orange is a little better. Still Vox's clean/vintage od sounds are unmatched. Even in this one.
Is it loud enough to fill a room?
Yes. And then some.
Would this work well if I use a mixer?
Use a mixer for what? You haven't provided sufficient info
mic it with a sm57 off center it will work
Been thinking to get one or a line 6 micro spider amp, which one do you think is better? (both of them at the same price, 2nd hand)
It has quite a warm "old school" sound for a ss amp.
