I think Kishimoto meant for minato to be the strongest hokage for sure. I think what happened was that when naruto got continued the main antagonist had to change to madara. Seeings as hashirama already beat madara he had to be stronger. So I that kishimoto changed the narrative tbh. It has always erked me, Because I thought it was way cooler that minato was the strongest seeings as he is more of a genius rather than just having super human cells

Also, Tobirama’s statement about “you’re better at teleporting than me” after Minato arrives at the battlefield is not talking about FTG, it’s talking about his Shunshin (body flicker teleportation) which is movement speed. You can see in previous chapters that Shunshin (body flicker) is translated as “teleportation” like when Tobi says to Deidara about Sasuke “his teleportation is too fast for both of us!” After Sasuke cuts him in half. Clearly Sasuke doesn’t have FTG. Shunshin is when you move so fast it looks like teleportation.

I think Minato’s performance against the 9 tails in the one shot definitely scales him above sage mode Naruto from the pain arc/turtle island. No real way to get around it. He beat the full powered 9 tails, with less help than Naruto got against half of the 9 tails.

Wanted to correct you on just one thing tho, flying raijin isn't considered a teleportation technique, but in a few guides was named a space/time ninjutsu that opens a wormhole like fabric in space that Minato then travels through. Which means Flying Raijin isn't teleportation but transportation.

You have to think about why Minato and even hiruzen to a lesser degree are the ones brought up more often than Hashirama and Tobirama is because of the age gap. There isn’t anyone or enough people alive in the timeline of Naruto who would’ve known the true power of Hashirama.
Minato is the most wanked character simply because his abilities are the most misunderstood. They use his speed as a crutch, which is unquantifiable. And quite frankly it's an abstract concept, meaning you could be completely off-base and not even realize it. To put it bluntly, Minato is overhyped because people are the embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Minato is able to blitz his own [Flying Rajin] timers which is objectively faster than Hashirama, in yes he has good durability and regen but if Heavily fatigued teen Minato's [Rasengan] is equal or even greater than a nine tails [Tailed Beast Bomb]. I think it's safe to say 3-4 [Rasengan's] from Hokage Minato to the face should be fatal at least.
That was potentially equal to a charging restrained Bijuubomb, and that was when Minato was a chakra ghost so his physical condition wouldn't have effected his output just his time duration. Hashirama is out here treating the full thing like a little pet, even when Kurama is enhanced by Madara's Perfect Susanoo. We were also shown that Sage Naruto, who would at the very least be in the same league of destructive force as Minato, not be able to even get through Madara's basic Susanoo.
When talking about the strongest Hokage, it isn’t referring to 1v1 abilities. It’s your capabilities to complete missions and task that benefit your village. So Minato may lose in a fair 1v1 but his assassin capabilities and ftg can help better on gathering Intel, assassinating, complete more missions because of his ability to teleport around the world instantly.
Your comment does not make much sense. First off, tell us how often the hokage goes out to do missions. Their mission completion capability is not what people fear/respect. They lead and fight nations. Second, give us a few examples of someone highly respected or feared for their ability to deliver intel quickly or whatever. I can think of.....Kabuto. Third, explain how their 1v1 power isnt what makes them when literally every hokage is remembered for who they fought in the ninja wars and/or what abilities they fight with. This extends beyond kage as well. Chiyo, Sakumo, Fugaku, Hanzo, Shisui, Kinkaku, Ginkaku, 7 swordsman of the mist, amd many others are known for the same things. In a ninja world, ninjas fight.

There is a misunderstanding. Killer Bee did not react to the Flying Raijin, but he was prepared in case Minato teleported behind him. Regarding Killer Bee's statement about Mangekyou Sharingan Sasuke being the strongest opponent he faced depends on the context. Killer Bee did not really fight Minato in comparison to Sasuke battling against Killer Bee on his own. Although, Killer Bee probably meant by his personal experience and perspective rather than judging the absolute power levels of his opponents since various battles may present unique challenges and as a result leave a different impression on a shinobi. Different matchups are also essential to understand. Perhaps, Sasuke left an impression on Killer Bee that he is unique, but that doesn't mean that Sasuke back then is stronger than Minato. Other than that, Minato is one of the strongest non-Kekkei Genkai Shinobi to ever lived. Also, Danzou's bodyguards had intel about Obito's Kamui before they battled him. Just watch the battle again, in which one of them said "It seems he can slip through objects after all". Obito's Kamui is not difficult to figure out, but how to counter it. In Minato's circumstances, he had little to no time to battle Obito because he had to save the village, and protect Kushina and Naruto as well. It is not an easy feat, and yet he managed to figure out Kamui's weakness in a matter of minutes or seconds, and in addition to that, removed Obito's control from Kurama. Konan analyzed Obito's Kamui and prepared herself. When Kakashi and his squads battled the fun Tobi for the first time, they had no idea about how to counter Kamui, but figured it out later. It took them longer time to analyze Kamui's ability. This proves to us that Minato's intelligence is not overrated, but actually underrated. In the War Arc, he was definitely nerfed because of the writing, but he also couldn't believe it was Obito who was behind the Kurama attack. He was mentally affected in some way and did not want to battle his own student.
Only problem with that is that minato when he fought obito before he died was extremely fatigued with him using the ftg so times minds that a very draining justu to Do along with the fact that he had to go against obito and the nine tails and had to do the reaper death seal and seal half the nine tails in naruto and the other half in his self before he died.
If you think SM Naruto is stronger than Minato you clearly misunderstood the statement. SM Naruto wasn’t even stronger than Pain, yet Minato thought Naruto needed to master Kurama’s power to beat Obito.. who Minato beat with relative ease.
Hokage at 23. Fastest man without hax to ever live. Held his own against Tobi + 9 tails. Almost killed Tobi with one rasengan keep in mind he had Hashirama cells or else that boy dead as hell. Minato stomps any shinobi ever apart from Madara and Hashirama and of course their incarnates Naruto and SASUKE with god like powers gifted not earned. Keep in mind also, Minato isnt a Senju Uchiha Uzumaki or a fkn Hyuga. Hes from a no name clan yet he perfected the jutsu Tobirama created even better than him.

Minato is able to blitz his own [Flying Rajin] timers which is objectively faster than Hashirama, in yes he has good durability and regen but if Heavily fatigued teen Minato's [Rasengan] is equal or even greater than a nine tails [Tailed Beast Bomb]. I think it's safe to say 3-4 [Rasengan's] from Hokage Minato to the face should be fatal at least.

That was potentially equal to a charging restrained Bijuubomb, and that was when Minato was a chakra ghost so his physical condition wouldn't have effected his output just his time duration.

We were also shown that Sage Naruto, who would at the very least be in the same league of destructive force as Minato, not be able to even get through Madara's basic Susanoo.
When talking about the strongest Hokage, it isn’t referring to 1v1 abilities. It’s your capabilities to complete missions and task that benefit your village.
So Minato may lose in a fair 1v1 but his assassin capabilities and ftg can help better on gathering Intel, assassinating, complete more missions because of his ability to teleport around the world instantly.

First off, tell us how often the hokage goes out to do missions. Their mission completion capability is not what people fear/respect. They lead and fight nations.
Second, give us a few examples of someone highly respected or feared for their ability to deliver intel quickly or whatever. I can think of.....Kabuto.
Third, explain how their 1v1 power isnt what makes them when literally every hokage is remembered for who they fought in the ninja wars and/or what abilities they fight with.
This extends beyond kage as well. Chiyo, Sakumo, Fugaku, Hanzo, Shisui, Kinkaku, Ginkaku, 7 swordsman of the mist, amd many others are known for the same things.

HYPOTHETICAL: Minato chucks one of his marked kunai with all his strength to where it goes hurling into space. Now if he wants he can instantaneously teleport anyone he likes to wherever that kunai is at and come back before the effects of space hit him. Hax but theoretically possible.

Besides his age there isn't much that shown in terms of improvement, Orange Mask Obito most note worthy feats are against Konan and that fight would've been absolutely one sided if Konan hadn't prep.

Also besides that I just don't think we can take the one shot in much consideration, I love the Minato and Kushina story and the rasegan origin but everything besides that makes no sense and contradicts almost all of Naruto's story and lore, like Roshi and Han being at least almost perfect jinchuriki when only the Mizukage and Bee were and THEN Naruto

As much as adorable he is, I gotta admit he is the most overrated character in the series. People seem to be impressed with him in the childhood. Fukasaku stated SM Naruto surpassed Minato, young Bee reacted and countered his attacks, also Bee stated amaterasu Sasuke was the strongest opponent he ever fought against. His intelligence is also ridiculously overrated due to his victory over Obito, but he just realized that Obito had to materialize himself to attack, and that's so obvious lol.. Danzo's bodyguards did the same for the same amount of time
There is a misunderstanding. Killer Bee did not react to the Flying Raijin, but he was prepared in case Minato teleported behind him. Regarding Killer Bee's statement about Mangekyou Sharingan Sasuke being the strongest opponent he faced depends on the context. Killer Bee did not really fight Minato in comparison to Sasuke battling against Killer Bee on his own. Although, Killer Bee probably meant by his personal experience and perspective rather than judging the absolute power levels of his opponents since various battles may present unique challenges and as a result leave a different impression on a shinobi. Different matchups are also essential to understand. Perhaps, Sasuke left an impression on Killer Bee that he is unique, but that doesn't mean that Sasuke back then is stronger than Minato. Other than that, Minato is one of the strongest non-Kekkei Genkai Shinobi to ever lived.
Also, Danzou's bodyguards had intel about Obito's Kamui before they battled him. Just watch the battle again, in which one of them said "It seems he can slip through objects after all". Obito's Kamui is not difficult to figure out, but how to counter it. In Minato's circumstances, he had little to no time to battle Obito because he had to save the village, and protect Kushina and Naruto as well. It is not an easy feat, and yet he managed to figure out Kamui's weakness in a matter of minutes or seconds, and in addition to that, removed Obito's control from Kurama. Konan analyzed Obito's Kamui and prepared herself. When Kakashi and his squads battled the fun Tobi for the first time, they had no idea about how to counter Kamui, but figured it out later. It took them longer time to analyze Kamui's ability.
This proves to us that Minato's intelligence is not overrated, but actually underrated. In the War Arc, he was definitely nerfed because of the writing, but he also couldn't believe it was Obito who was behind the Kurama attack. He was mentally affected in some way and did not want to battle his own student.
Only problem with that is that minato when he fought obito before he died was extremely fatigued with him using the ftg so times minds that a very draining justu to Do along with the fact that he had to go against obito and the nine tails and had to do the reaper death seal and seal half the nine tails in naruto and the other half in his self before he died.
If you think SM Naruto is stronger than Minato you clearly misunderstood the statement. SM Naruto wasn’t even stronger than Pain, yet Minato thought Naruto needed to master Kurama’s power to beat Obito.. who Minato beat with relative ease.

Hokage at 23. Fastest man without hax to ever live. Held his own against Tobi + 9 tails. Almost killed Tobi with one rasengan keep in mind he had Hashirama cells or else that boy dead as hell. Minato stomps any shinobi ever apart from Madara and Hashirama and of course their incarnates Naruto and SASUKE with god like powers gifted not earned. Keep in mind also, Minato isnt a Senju Uchiha Uzumaki or a fkn Hyuga. Hes from a no name clan yet he perfected the jutsu Tobirama created even better than him.
