@basicsoul32 The Yamaha has better piano and ep than kurzweil sounds. I owned a pc1x which has the same tone generator than the pc3x, and my s90xs has much detailed sounds. Yamaha piano has damper resonance and key-off samples that make a big difference for the realism of the sounds.
Yes! It has a Beautiful flute sound! It has sooo many orchestra instruments! I own one and I love it! :D it does amazing things if you take the time to read the manual and learn it.
I may be about ten centimeters away from getting this synthesizer for my next purchase. One thing I'm curious about is whether or not you can create a performance patch with one sound triggered from the S90's own keyboard and to attach an external MIDI controller (I'm thinking my first synth, an Alesis QS6) for triggering a separate sound at the same time. Think piano triggered from the S90 keyboard and organ, strings, etc triggered from the QS6. These models have too many sounds for one board
Hey. I had for 3-4 days before I changed it to a Yamaha CP5 :P I have to be able to use it straight out of the box, since I lack the patience needed to read and learn. Amazing sound atleast, but not my cup of tea to be honest.
I've played piano since I was 6, and this is by far the worst keyboard in class of keyboards I have played... The sound and the playability // feeling is so off... You wonder what happened... When you really listen to the keyboard the tones are empty and very simplistic. The modeling is not realistic at all... It's a horrible keyboard when compared to a Nord Piano 3 or Electro 3.
The keys are different. THe MOX are plastic type keys ith no aftertouch. The S series has hammer weighted quality keys. I think the Engines are the same in both im not sure but I beleive you get way more presetsi the S series as well as more arpegiator drum tracks.
The Roland V-Synth GT Version 2 is more powerful and the expressive sound are incredible. This Yamaha S90 XS sound like a toy. The guitar sound is lame and so is the vocoder. The piano sound could be better. Even the Roland Jupiter 80 packs a better quality sound.
this is a really good instrument, our church uses this for Sundays and we already had it for a couple years, and it's still good
I wish there was a review like this for every keyboard on the market.
Thank you so much for the English version, it is most helpful.
I hope Yamaha help with costs....
Ok, just made up my mind.. Buying this one tomorrow! Thanks for the demo :)
Thanks, Volker, for showing me some tricks I wasn't aware of on my "new" s70xs!
Lovely piano
Thanks for the info. How do you upload beats from a flash drive to this keyboard and which format?
fettes teil, respekt, aber der preis spiegelt das natürlich wieder ;)

Please, does it have a flute sound? (classic flute, not shakuhachi)

Very useful video
Awesome Synth!
I like it
Hoping to get someday!

Fantastic sound...................
Can you get a fender Rhodes piano sound on the Yamaha s90xs?
Whoever has one, can they please make all the sounds available in Logic Pro X please?

what kind of microphone do i need so i can plug it into the back where it says mic input? I'm new to that whole cross input looking thing
How is it now after 3 years of owning your S90xs? Let me know. When you have a good rating I will buy one next week.
Casio px 5s or yamaha s90? I saw used units of these which are almost the same price.
Surely that was a good review.
How does the keys feel, anything close to an actual piano
Does this one have a transpose key?
yes, It's to the right of the octave keys. It's on the left side. near the bottom
But don't you dare use it
did he say funky recorder or funky bacorder @ around 7:33?
are the sounda the same as the motif? im getting a bit confused on what to buy :p
Which is better? S90ES or S90XS?
s90xs
"Yeah, hi everybody I am Volker from Musik Schmidt in Frankfurt ... "
sounds really soft?
No internal speakers? What would be the best speakers to use with this instrument?
I put my through an old Speak & Spell.
What's the difference btw S70/90 compared to MOX6/X8?
Quero ganhar um desse!!
the bass:)
Ok thanks for that, I'll check em out:-)
i'm waiting for mine but...what does he say at 0:50?
He says Corona Virus
yes it does
S90es, better!
Daniel R Is it really? I have an s90es and was concidering upgrading to this one. Should I not and keep the es?
@@arronclarke6760 keep the ES
This demo is unconvincing, it seems that people are not convinced that this keyboard is a Stage Piano Anyway, this keyboard is already discontinued

Doesn't have a sequencer? Seriously?!

Please people stop asking Danny Bonaduce from The Partridge Family more questions.
test
Why the fuck would you want the arpeggiator? Who buys expensive keyboards/synths and doesn't know how to play it? Ridiculous.

Horrible ! I prefer my clp 860 piano sound
eh DX7 is still better than this
i only wanted to hear e.piano, did i miss it?
