When I was a teenager I had always wanted a 63 Corvette . Back in 1975 I was a kid of 18 years old . The split window was just a used Corvette . Not the Iconic car that it has become today . Well I never got to buy my Corvette until recently when I paid dearly for it . At 55:50 they talk about owning a vett and how it can make you feel. Even after having a bad day . Well I have to say , it's true . When I would come home from a rough day at work , open the garage door and see my 63 sitting there , a big smile always arises from my face . There will never be another American sports car that will compare to the Corvette , the 63 is the most Iconic Corvette ever made . Altho I do love the C8, I'm not ready to give up my Split Window just yet .

I can remember like it was yesterday. I was seven years old in El Paso Texas as I walked to school every morning by the office of a steel company called RAMSY STEEL, when saw a brand new, red, 63 split window Corvette parked in the reserved parking space of the president of Ramsy Steel. I was so stunned I literally was late to school that morning. I felt as if a UFO landed and the space aliens forgot to take their car back into space. To this day my desire to own a 63 split window is overwhelming. If I had a choice to pick a 63 or a new mid engine 2020 Corvette, hands down the 63 is my choice.

I remember reading somewhere that the car that was the 1968 corvette was supposed to appear for the 1967 model year. Frankly the powers that be were right to hold off for the additional year because the 68,for all its wild style had numerous quality issues. In that generation I feel as though the best years were from 1970 to1972. Furthermore I still think that Chevrolet could have still gotten a few more years out of the 63to 67 stingrays, and oh by the way the. 67,the car that wasn't supposed to be,was about the best and most refined of its generation

Dan Sotelo Dan I own a 64,72, and a 15 ZO6 the 64 I’ve had for 38 years it’s my favorite so I would agree with you. But I’m saving up for a C8. Don’t wait get a 63 ASAP because they are only going up in value.

C8 is the most exciting develpement since the introduction of the C3 body style in '68. From the absolutely HORRIBLE and Plastic crap C4 on through the C5 which was only marginally better......the C6 and C7 were indeed far better cars and certainly brought the performance potential of the Front engine design to it's ultimate potential yet it's still a big distance of time since the last BIG DESIGN improvement of the size seen in the first 3 generations of the car. The C8 finally shows a return to real automotive risk taking and huge change in the quest for a better and different car. These are again exciting times for Corvette fans.
