What blaster would you like to see a PWM port made for?
A Stryfe battery door with an angled outlet would hit a lot of numbers
The Diana. I would love to run it at HvZ levels but changing the battery cell number doesn’t do that normally. I don’t know if this would but I would use it if it did
My mk3. Just bought a 1000 mah 75c 3s lipo. And it hits way to hard for my kids.
Omnia, Ultra Select, Megastryke, DZ Mk 3, Infinus, and Ultra Two
Our entire club will be running these. There isn't a more useful device for tournaments, HVZ or any kind of gameplay. This is the way
Huge fan of Paper Skeletons work! Really nice to see the N1 such a cool combo. Btw love the shirt!
Love this. The lockout is smart and should make it usable at all events.
Wow! This gadget is 100% awesome and 0% gimmick. Love it!
Thank you and glad you like it!
This device seems invaluable, it’s awesome. Seems like all pro flywheelers should have them. I don’t know about Dart Zone’s Venom though. I’m thinking that’s just a thumb screw for the battery compartment.
I think you guys are right about the battery nut. I guess I can be optimistic though! 😅
I haven't thought too much about high fps games personally, but the idea that I could have a pro blaster and use across all games types is sick as heck. I what I'm doing first if I ever do make the leap to pro games!
having an external battery in general is a godsend
It's a great contribution to the hobby. Excellent work guys!!! Very innovative
Seems amazing. I love it when you guys collaborate! Keep up the great work. N1 is hot!!
So amazing, thank you so much ❤.
Glad you like it and thank you!
This was a great video! You captured the essence of the system perfectly! Im glad you have been able to play with the PWM and now theres a blaster platform around it! Im up for designing external XT60 connections for any blaster!
Good suggestions so far on this thread! We have our work cut out! 😅
Cool Blaster
The kit reminds me of how in airsoft people connecting their "blasters" to an external gas tank to control or reduce weak shots from happening
I think “replicas” is what they’re calling them nowadays 😅. But you make a great point!
this is a great feature for those still on the fence for going full competitive mode, but that's still a very niche area
This is so cool.
It's been fun experimenting with PWM. One of my Omnias that is now just a testbed has a homemade PWM for the flywheels and can run in different events. Although I have a ton of really high current MOSFETs I bought in bulk a long time ago, so I can get away with not needing that much cooling capacity as long as I'm not constantly revving
Have you documented your journey through this project? Would love to read or watch about it!
Need to make an N-strike battery buttstock with this in it
Totally doable. Thank you for the suggestion!
WOUW. That Thing looks so cool.
My thought is modify the existing battery covers for blasters like the Stryfe, Rayven, and others to have a rear facing connection port and a short tail into the XT60 in the battery tray. With this you can add an external battery pack with PWM control to your existing blaster.
Battery door is definitely the optimal location for it. Thank you for your thoughts!
Yes, exactly.
So basically this is the nerf equivalent of the HPA system in airsoft? That's at least what I'm getting.
That set up is nice. Just a thought of a soldering set up like this when out on tournaments or hvz play.
Adam Savage has a cool mobile soldering station he does a build guide on.
I think the venom nub is actually just the battery door screw
I guess is it’s just wishful thinking at this point! 😅
@@notnuffnerf haha yeah it would be cool
This is a really cool tool to have! I do wonder if there's a way to make an on-blaster version of this that would mount on a rail so that any chance of the wire from the PWM into the blaster snagging* is less than 1 percent.
I’m sure there is! This one just lets you use all your blasters with it!
@@notnuffnerf had to make an edit when I realized I left out the word 'snagging' because that was my main concern. This is already a very good idea for flywheelers in general and honestly entanglement or getting the wire caught on something seems about the only potential failure point otherwise.
Like this. Think it could work well with the Nova?
Love the videos.
Great timing! Nova is actually my next review and I’m considering PWMing it! 😅
The Nova is ready for the PWM. I've got a battery door replacement already.
Sweet stuff. I’ll look into it. Thank you.
Wow that's so gigantic! Can PWM kits fit inside a blaster at all? I'd like something like this for my custom Nerf Aliens Smartgun when I finally get around to finishing that. Could this work for something like a Nightingale?
The hardest thing is the amp requirements for high FPS blasters. A small PWM module can only handle ~5 amps and most 2S and 3S batteries in the hobby can have amp readings much higher depending on their discharge rate.
Hey 3N, the suggested video didn't show up at the end. Might wanna edit it and fill the void. Stay safe and God bless. Yosh...
Might be on TV Or other device? Seems to be loading fine but thank you for the heads up!
