Having consigned my EBAC to the garage and purchased a Meaco ABC Dehumidifier, I am very impressed all round. The only frustration is that if you select laundry mode it will switch off after 6 hours instead of reverting to the normal humidity selection: a small issue but somewhat bizzare.

Wouldn't worry about the compressor too much on a well-built dehumidifier. You don't worry about your fridge, do you?

Can I use both the HEPA filter that comes with it and the optional charcoal filter that can be purchased separately, both at the same time?

This brand must be popular they’re out of stock everywhere. I have my eye on the 20L one

Suspect stock thin on the ground generally at the moment.

I'm also looking for the 20L one but I'm not sure if I should get 25L even though I only need it to dry clothes indoor.

I ordered directly from Meaco yesterday. Got the 12l as the 20l was out of stock. They seem to be out of stock everywhere else.

@@avtransfersUK Thank you for this update. I bought my 25L from Argos yesterday. Very pleased with it.
A video needs to be done on the 25L.

In laundry mode, my humidity levels have not got lower than 50, but it is set to go down to 35. This doesn't seem right, anybody using laundry mode, does it go down to 35-40 for you ?

In laundry mode it doesn't use the humistat, it just keeps dehumifying for a fixed time. It's the same principle as the EBAC units in that respect, except the EBAC's will then revert to normal humidity control (which you can't set).

60% RH is a perfectly good target, one that will prevent mould growth.. leaving laundry ready to iron.
Achieving lower RH depends in part on how much air ingress occurs (open windows, vents including slip/slide window vents.. UK outside humidity only falls in frosty weather or in the heat of summer during low rainfall.
I run mine for 8 hours per day in 50Sq.metre flat, and achieve around 58-65 RH. I have very large window vents.. next step is to reduce the area of those vents.

    Did it come with castors?
