Lyrics:
We've taken too much for granted
And all the time it had grown
From techno seeds we first planted
Evolved a mind of it's own
Marching in the streets
Dragging iron feet
Laser beaming hearts
Ripping men apart
From what I've seen of perfection
Where we could do as we please
In secrecy this infection
Was spreading like a disease
Hiding underground
Knowing we'd be found
Fearing for our lives
Reaped by robot's scythes
Metal gods
Metal gods
Metal gods
Metal gods
Machines are taking all over
With mankind in their command
In time they'd like to discover
How they can make their demand
Better be the slaves
To their wicked ways
But meeting with our death
Engulfed in molten breath Видеоклипы
KK and Glenn are the most amazing duo in all of rock history!
U musta forgot KISS.. IRON MAIDEN....& a slew of other METAL bands like RATT......Bye now
with Dave Murray and Adrian Smith
agree , KK and Glen Top !!!
@@terrybryk5557 Against Downing & Tipton? Nah... If you had mentioned Mercyful Fate or Helloween, you might have had something
@@AndE667 spot on!
How fortunate we got to live at the same time as Judas Priest
My opinion Judas Priest's contribution to metal is beyond any other band in history.
They are what Metal is.
I agree and you hear very few bands that made metal great like Judas Priest.IHalford was able to come out closet which I admit stunned me at the time but I think his followers really could care less because he is a metal god .
Not really, Sabbath invented Metal, but I love Priest anyway
@AntonioTorres-mo8bp they maybe invented it but Preist took it far and beyond consistently through the decades.Their contribution is second to none
Not really ......., many metal bands have contributed too.
This is really timeless metal, presentable even today. The riffs are ungodly...
One canhear so much of today's metal in the sounds of Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath. WOW!!!!
Metal Gods... Metal Gods...
No they're Metal godly!
ABSOLUTELY.
JUDAS PRIEST = METAL GODS
true metal. The leather, the bikes, the attitude, the pain and pure talent just fucking radiates.
Manowar, Judas Priest, Saxon, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Havok, Dio, Exodus, Slayer, Sabaton, Pantera, Type O Negative, Amon Amarth, Primal Fear and even fucking Metallica
Thats what I think of, when I think of Metal
Hey, truth surprises even the "very elect"!!
@@StaticYonder i gotta respect your perspective!
I'm really serious! You are seeing things
clearly-MUST MAKE SURE TO CARE ABOUT TRUTH, SO YOU SEE JESUS CHRIST,!!
MERELY FEELING ORGASMS, OR SEEING
FISCAL PROFITS, WILL NOT FIT, THE BILL!!!
VALUE YOU ETERNAL LIFE!!!!
"Metal Gods" is one of Priest tunes that has gotten heavier, and better sounding over the years. When I saw them play this in 2009, I was speechless over how incredible it sounded. "Rapid Fire" too.
It's sounds way better now
And, unfortunately, exponentially more relevant.
Rob changed how he sings the words "Metal Gods" the second time in the verse. On the album it's the same as the first one. Live, he goes up higher for the second one, and it makes the song better.
@@vplexico Testament to a truly great band is that they sound even better live.
Rob always does that walk like his feet are stuck in concrete while "Marching in the streets, dragging iron feet." Jesus, I have seen them about 6 times. They never disappoint .
Love it
@@MarkBlumenthal1 👍
Proud to say I blew my parents home stereo speakers up with this song !!!!!!!
oceanking18 hahaha!! well done bro!!
Ha ha. I remember turning it up so loud hanging the speakers out the window so I could hear it over the lawn mower mowing grass. It destroyed those speakers. Always get hell even today on that one but well worth it.
u must of had some cheap ass speakers
Had Pioneer speakers, was downstairs, you could hear me jamming as you turned into our driveway, you could hear it next door, across the street, yep, gotta get speakers like that now so my neighbors 35 years later can hear it with the same clarity. NOT kidding.
Onlyt way to do it
Heavy Metal = Judas Priest
Literally when u look up on Google who are the metal gods rob halford pops up
Judas Priest=Havy Metal
That guitar headbang
@Son of Northern Darkness boy boo lol
@Son of Northern Darkness sabbath is the godfathers. Priest is the metal gods
the riff just pummels. the rhythm does also. as Halford delivers that apocalyptic vocal with brutal truth! bad ass band.not many can follow this band!
Ian Hill doesn't play fancy, but he is the engine of this band.
mrsleep0000 yep and nobody can’t touch Priest live. They’re unbelievable live
When they were at their best they were the best! They took a backseat to no one!!!
@@mrsleep0000 he can play fancy .
Look again his lines of 1973 towards 1977
@@mrsleep0000 Ian was one of the original band members before Rob joined.Rob though,is the driving force behind them though. The one true Metal God.
best heavy metal voice ever
Jp has 5 good songs for every good acdc song with bon scott
DIO
Eric Adams man, best Metal High Screamer
@Motor Head bon scott wasnt metal. Hard rock at best
@Pellinore Bruce cannot hold a candle the the metal god. He doesn't even have the range of halford.
The greatest metal riff of all time executed perfectly here.
Amen.
1978-1984 was Priest at their best
Jeffrey Hinkle yea that's tru
Supreme Lord Master Emperor of the Universe agreed
agree. the painkiller tour wasn't that great, rob had alot of vocal problems in many shows, but the second leg was much better.
I know that's right!!! After that aside from a few and I mean few good songs they had drifted from who they were trying to appease the younger crowds and the speed metal thrash metal which I have no use for when compared to the material JP put out during the 70s to early 80s!!!
But u can't leave out sad wings
So heavy - and yet so funky at the same time. Insane groove, nuclear riffs, stratospheric vocals.
It’s Ian’s bassline that adds that certain funk formula in it 😅
@@Cl4rendon yes! very abba. the drums too with the funky high hats
Boy, what I would give to go back in time and see this live...
Göttlich.
Man, that's a hell of a riff.
Machines doing man's bidding. This song was way before it's time. Perfect prediction of today's world.
Best vocal of the entire universe!
40 yrs Later and still sounds FN Killer !!!!
If that doesn’t get your metal heart pumping, nothing will. Love it! Thank you!
A band like this only comes around every 1,000 years.
Never listened to them... my husband got tickets on Groupon the day of a concert... asked me if I would go... I hesitantly said yes... but was frigging blown away by this band... been a die hard fan since that day... 🤘🤘🤘
Your husband has good taste 😉
Screaming for Vengeance 1982 and Defenders of the Faith 1984? Maple leaf Gardens Toronto. My best teenage memories of concerts. Both times the downtown was wrecked. LSD Was very popular back then.
British Steel and Screaming for vengance was Priest's finest hour
And "Defenders of the Faith" too...
Can’t forget painkiller even if rob did blow his voice out on the tour
Turbo
Stained Class is the greatest metal album of all time. Beyond the Realms of Death is an absolute masterpiece.
British steel had some good tracks on it, but the album as a whole don't come close to the likes of Stained Class, Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders of the Faith and Painkiller.
Was lucky to see this tour...and my first concert...was 13 and changed my life to loving metal...priest was untouchable back then
Rob Halford...The Metal GOD
And that's a fact!
Period
Judas Priest in their absolute f***in' prime! 🤘
All hail priest 🤘
Timeless and powerful!
Metal Gods !!! he's a metal god!!!
Back when, every time they were in Texas or Shreveport LA, went and saw them. 🤟☠️🔥💪
Glen tipton must be mentioned as one of the greatest riff masters in music history
I saw Judas Priest many times throughout their career and I would have to say that the 82 tour was the best, you could see them on Friday night and on Saturday morning your ears would still be smoking. I've said it before and I will say it again if you got to grow up in the 50's through the 80's with that classic music YOU were blessed! Heavy Metal thy name is Judas Priest!
One of the best metal songs of all time! KK Downing and Glen Tipton are stone cold axeman! None compare to the Priest!
Amen!
@@paulm.5979 Kids still ripping these riffs. Must for Modern guitarists.
OMG... Everything of this is so iconic. Eternal legends!!
It speaks volumes about a band that sound better live! Judas the best 🔥
The Mad Max of Metal!!!
Rob has like 40 awesome signature moves in this. Incredible from start to finish.
BEST EVER JUDAS PRIEST
Priest are the best. They had the music--and the look!
Only Priest could release a song titled Metal Gods and no one argues
The best metal scream in the world. 🤘🤘
See boys and girls, no lip syncing. That is how it was done back in the days.
Meeeeeeeeeeetallll GGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODS!!
No autotune either...
I love you
What metal bands now are lipsyncing?
@@MultiKamil97 and blastbeating, and other stuff...
No band in the world can touch this.
Halford doin the godzilla stomp at the beginning.ha ha
Omg hell yeah , I rewind that part so bad. Beast on the stage!
"Godzilla Stomp" hahahaha, love it!
dragging iron feeeeet
Love the clarity of the Strat with DiMarzio Super Distortions.
These lads couldn't put out a bad track.🔥🔥🔥🔥🎧
This has to be the BEST METAL CONCERT of all time.
Yeah, I am real glad I saw them in 80, 81, and 82 in Seattle......
Best ANY concert ever!
A lot to choose from back then, but this is#1👍.
Yes, yes this concert the best all time
The best concert ever is the one every fan was ever at! I've been fortunate to see them over a dozen times and they have over delivered every time!
Seen this Tour in Cleveland Ohio. KICKED MY ASS!!!
I saw Priest last fall, and this is the song they played when Glenn Tipton came out. I got chills hearing him play the riffs, knowing that he was suffering with Parkinson’s.
One of the quintessential Judas Priest songs of all time!
They got me me since 1980 at 59 still jaming hell yea thanks preist 😂😂😂😂❤❤
Laser beaming hearts, ripping men apart!
It just doesn't get any more metal than this
How does the band get that incredible futuristic guitar sound?
Never get tired of this music. Long live to the Priest!
Best of all time no contest.
Halford is the same today on 50th tour!! His voice is as good as it was years ago!! Vegas, and Mankato were awesome shows!!
Adrenalina pura.
Saw this tour in San Diego. At their peak they were not just a band on stage playing their music but an immersive experience infusing all your senses with metal bliss.
still my favorite. Followed them since the late 70s and seen them 11 times! Always pulls me out of a bad mood! lol
Still the Best Live Show to Date in 2020 I Ever Witnessed !!
Best&topest heavy metal band
Wow! Still gives me goosebumps. Saw them at the Tower Theater in Philly for the Point of Entry tour. A little band called Iron Maiden opened for them. One awesome show it was.
That ending should never end...What a great song...
Rob is so fired up!
huge song! for the ages!
I love this version!!'
The Godfathers of metal !!!!
Simply the GOAT!!!!
When it comes to pure metal nobody compares to JP!!!!
PRIEST AT THEIR BEST..!!!!

Judus Priest = M.A.G.A
This is a classic.
Master-piece. What a show, huh? I’ve seen them in concert several times in the Newyork area, waiting for the next one, isn’t that amazing, they still produce, they still rock in this day and age. Long live Metal Gods.
k.k. and glen really rock out on this song!!!
I wish I had a time machine for this.
Good times, Judas forever in we minds. HAPPY METAL !!!!
Wenn Sie dies hören, haben Sie einen exzellenten Musikgeschmack. Keep it up!
Saw Judas Priest in 1981 and I haven't stopped Rocking with them since that day! 🎼Their music 🎶is awesome🎼
Best HEAVY METAL 🎸 band in the history
Best band. Best concert.
Judas Priest Rules!!! 🤘🏻😎🍺
That's Metal !!!
Was just reading the autobiography by K.K. Downing. Got me in the mood to look up one of my favorite Priest songs. Saw them do this live in Oct of 1982 at the Brendon Byrne Arena in NJ. Awesome show!
JUDAS PRIEST, enough said .
