Rob always does that walk like his feet are stuck in concrete while "Marching in the streets, dragging iron feet." Jesus, I have seen them about 6 times. They never disappoint .
"Metal Gods" is one of Priest tunes that has gotten heavier, and better sounding over the years. When I saw them play this in 2009, I was speechless over how incredible it sounded. "Rapid Fire" too.
Rob changed how he sings the words "Metal Gods" the second time in the verse. On the album it's the same as the first one. Live, he goes up higher for the second one, and it makes the song better.
Great ole Tune from British Steel ! Never a dull moment in concert . With Priest at the helm ... Everybody gets their money's worth ! Thanks Men for a great Rendition of Metal Gods . 🇺🇸 ♦️
Saw this tour in San Diego. At their peak they were not just a band on stage playing their music but an immersive experience infusing all your senses with metal bliss.
I agree and you hear very few bands that made metal great like Judas Priest.IHalford was able to come out closet which I admit stunned me at the time but I think his followers really could care less because he is a metal god .
Never listened to them... my husband got tickets on Groupon the day of a concert... asked me if I would go... I hesitantly said yes... but was frigging blown away by this band... been a die hard fan since that day... 🤘🤘🤘
I saw Judas Priest many times throughout their career and I would have to say that the 82 tour was the best, you could see them on Friday night and on Saturday morning your ears would still be smoking. I've said it before and I will say it again if you got to grow up in the 50's through the 80's with that classic music YOU were blessed! Heavy Metal thy name is Judas Priest!
Ha ha. I remember turning it up so loud hanging the speakers out the window so I could hear it over the lawn mower mowing grass. It destroyed those speakers. Always get hell even today on that one but well worth it.
Had Pioneer speakers, was downstairs, you could hear me jamming as you turned into our driveway, you could hear it next door, across the street, yep, gotta get speakers like that now so my neighbors 35 years later can hear it with the same clarity. NOT kidding.
Master-piece. What a show, huh? I’ve seen them in concert several times in the Newyork area, waiting for the next one, isn’t that amazing, they still produce, they still rock in this day and age. Long live Metal Gods.
I know that's right!!! After that aside from a few and I mean few good songs they had drifted from who they were trying to appease the younger crowds and the speed metal thrash metal which I have no use for when compared to the material JP put out during the 70s to early 80s!!!
Wow! Still gives me goosebumps. Saw them at the Tower Theater in Philly for the Point of Entry tour. A little band called Iron Maiden opened for them. One awesome show it was.
I saw Priest last fall, and this is the song they played when Glenn Tipton came out. I got chills hearing him play the riffs, knowing that he was suffering with Parkinson’s.
Judas Priest has always been my favorite disciple for "bringing the kiss" and saving us all. Fall to your knees and repent if you please!!! Judas Priest's heavy metal heart and soul is life giving, it's what I eat and breathe everyday for the energy it gives me. Glenn Tipton saluted me once at the Defenders of the Faith tour. One of the greatest days of my life! I will be forever grateful for what they have accomplished and done for this world 🌎 As bad as this world can be, Judas Priest has been a beacon in my life. PRIEST, PRIEST, PRIEST, PRIEST, PRIEST.
Was just reading the autobiography by K.K. Downing. Got me in the mood to look up one of my favorite Priest songs. Saw them do this live in Oct of 1982 at the Brendon Byrne Arena in NJ. Awesome show!
All of 15 when I saw this during the screaming for vengeance tour, years later could’ve never realized what I was witnessing. Like any good addiction, chasing that fix ever since! How how I miss those formative metal influences
Screaming for Vengeance 1982 and Defenders of the Faith 1984? Maple leaf Gardens Toronto. My best teenage memories of concerts. Both times the downtown was wrecked. LSD Was very popular back then.
I have to admit - when I think of them, it’s really that ‘81 through maybe ‘86 period. When I look at most comments, though - I seem to be in the minority. And that ‘82 tour had Maiden opening, so - an added bonus.
British steel had some good tracks on it, but the album as a whole don't come close to the likes of Stained Class, Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders of the Faith and Painkiller.
saw these guys on this tour back then I was 22, the drummer walked out started to pound away and the rest of the guys kicked in and played nonstop for hours! great times!
Judas priest was my first band in concert , and they rocked the original line up was the best i grew up on them and followed them for more than half of my life even through the break up ! But they have always rocked and i love them for keeping my younger rock going rock on priest
My dad caught me listening to this when it was on MTV back in the day. Holy cow did he have a total conniption seeing and hearing it. we weren't allowed to watch MTV anymore lol.
KK and Glenn are the most amazing duo in all of rock history!
U musta forgot KISS.. IRON MAIDEN....& a slew of other METAL bands like RATT......Bye now

@@terrybryk5557 Against Downing & Tipton? Nah... If you had mentioned Mercyful Fate or Helloween, you might have had something

And it's friggin awesome lol it'd be disappointing NOT to see him do that during those lyrics
This is really timeless metal, presentable even today. The riffs are ungodly...
One canhear so much of today's metal in the sounds of Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath. WOW!!!!
Metal Gods... Metal Gods...
No they're Metal godly!
ABSOLUTELY.
JUDAS PRIEST = METAL GODS
3:44 is the start of the most METAL stage moves in existence. Sensational🤘
Those rythm guitars tho
"Metal Gods" is one of Priest tunes that has gotten heavier, and better sounding over the years. When I saw them play this in 2009, I was speechless over how incredible it sounded. "Rapid Fire" too.
It's sounds way better now

@@vplexico Testament to a truly great band is that they sound even better live.
Yeah man
Was lucky to see this tour...and my first concert...was 13 and changed my life to loving metal...priest was untouchable back then
the riff just pummels. the rhythm does also. as Halford delivers that apocalyptic vocal with brutal truth! bad ass band.not many can follow this band!
Ian Hill doesn't play fancy, but he is the engine of this band.
mrsleep0000 yep and nobody can’t touch Priest live. They’re unbelievable live

My opinion Judas Priest's contribution to metal is beyond any other band in history.
They are what Metal is.

Not really, Sabbath invented Metal, but I love Priest anyway
@AntonioTorres-mo8bp they maybe invented it but Preist took it far and beyond consistently through the decades.Their contribution is second to none
Not really ......., many metal bands have contributed too.
So heavy - and yet so funky at the same time. Insane groove, nuclear riffs, stratospheric vocals.
It’s Ian’s bassline that adds that certain funk formula in it 😅
@@Cl4rendon yes! very abba. the drums too with the funky high hats
