Just found this interview, Good stuff! Can't wait to see the Kneecap movie. I'll tell ya though, I'm also Canadian and outside of finding out about my own family history as of 2016 Kneecap are one of the bands/groups that inspired me to try to pick up some Irish, even if we don't speak it here in Canada. Another band I draw that inspiration from are called Seo (Shaw) Linn. I'll have 850 days of Irish learning through Duolingo as of tomorrow and being that I wasn't one that did very well in school, I'm quite proud of that. I write this only to illustrate how important Kneecap is speaking their language and living authentically through it. There's more goin on here with these lads than many give them credit for and that's a wonderful thing.
