Public schools can be good, it depends on the state. California has some good public schools. The key to public school is to get your kids in the accelerate/magnet/gifted program-- the curriculum is better, the teachers are more seasoned and decorated, and the students/parents take things more seriously.

I was born and raised in Florida and I went to public schools pre-k through 12th. I didn’t have a bad experience. I graduated with a 4.8 GPA, an International Baccalaureate diploma, a certification in first aid and cpr, a certification in adobe premier pro cc 2018, and I started college one credit short of being a sophomore (didn’t take dual enrollment).
I was born and raised in Florida as well and I went public school. I didn’t have such a good experience. I had fun and wouldn’t trade it for private school but the administration was horrible throughout 6-12th grade. I guess it all boils down to experience and personal perspectives.
