Tiny birds are rediculously cute, they are all so gorgeous! I would struggle to let them go afterwards because I would just want to cuddle them all lol
Great video mate. I've always wanted to go along for a bird ringing session!
As an American, it is interesting to see how different the birds are in different parts of the world.
Good video, I'm 15 minutes from Cresswell Craggs and never knew this place existed. Great video Cookie.
This was chill af to watch, proper pretty birds
Thanks bro! was great fun
Very interesting! Didn't know how small birds are weight 😅
Absolutely Fascinating
Just love bird ringing and getting close to the many birds we have in the UK.
This is so interesting, what a fab time doing something so rewarding and lovely 😊
don't know how people can handle something so small and vulnerable ill be so paranoid of hurting it or breaking it ffs
What an amazing experience mate
How cute 😍
Great video
Nice video mate
Thank you G
Cool guy!
One Day I Plan To Have A Native American Bird And A Native British Bird Ringed At The Same Time, (I Plan To Ring A Cardinal While Here In America And Around 2039 When I'm An Adult I Plan To Move To England And Film Some Different Animal And Birdlife Although I Will Live In Florida Much Of My Life But When In England I Will Find And Ring A Kingfisher)
Bruh I'm the opposite, I live in England and once old enough(2027) I plan to travel to America to film the coyotes, bears, cougars, moose, etc
Nice to see your back in the UK. When are you going to New Zealand?
Cheers mate! Plenty UK wildlife videos to come! NZ should be towards the end of the year sometime hopefully! £££ depending
@@WildlifeWithCookie You Should Come To USA, It's Fun Here
You must have to be so delicate! Great video 🥰
Well the Blue Tits weren't delicate back haha
I might be completely naive here but why not just let the birds crack on and do what they want to do. Surely if they are stuck in a net for a couple of hours it ain’t good for them.
By this I mean if a bird is ringed in England then found in Africa, so what. Is it worth putting them through stress to find that out. Just mind your own business
Firstly, they’re not in a net for hours at all, feel like I need to clear that up straight away - But how else would you learn about them? I understand it’s not nice to see birds caught in netting, to which some supermarkets have nets to stop birds being around which is barbaric but this is catch and release science with a purpose
@@WildlifeWithCookie fair play mate but that geezer said there’s a few nets dotted about the forest. How often can he be checking the nets.
But we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one. Just glad the ringing proved birds fly south for winter. Shock
They’re all within a 100 metre perimeter or so, it’s tiny and the science part is about a minute or so per bird
Fair enough though, agree to disagree 🙂
The birds aren't stuck in nets for hours min is 10 minutes max is 20 mins, the birds health always comes first, and without bird ringing we wouldn't know where these birds get to and how long they can live for. I state this what is worse a bird caught in a net and processed quickly as possible or someone fishing and a hook being lodged in a fishies mouth and being ripped out.
@@dwick4947 It takes about 10 - 15 minutes to get several birds out of a net, and I state without harm, being a ringer takes several years to get a liecence, you are with a strict trainer, and when he's happy enough to know you are competent enough to be able to extract birds safely only then he will put you forward a liecence.
