So why is it being approved elsewhere? I agree wholeheartedly with this sort of approach to emergency pain management. I'd just like to know that it's safe or at least as safe as possible. As in the case of nitrous oxide when given as a 70/30 mix of nitrous and oxygen. But I also know methoxyflurane is a lot more effective and portable than nitrous. So I can definitely see the upside to using it over nitrous. Don't see how it would work for dental medicine, though.

Such gas analgesia is mostly not available in a preclinical setting, so generally, this would be an improvement.
